Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . We have a no dog policy No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off. We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS. The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Option 1: Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks . we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre. Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Tyalgum Showgrounds offers both powered and unpowered sites, toilets, showers, drinking water, free dump point for campers and a camp kitchen. This is a recreation reserve camp ground run by volunteers - all money collected goes back to improvement of the facilities. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash. The Showgrounds can only offer a maximum of 7 nights.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

First time camping solo and I wanted somewhere I felt safe but also somewhere beautiful. Right from booking it was a positive experience, easy to understand instructions and common sense rules. I stayed at camp site 2 and I felt as safe as if I were at my own home. There was a toilet on my site, and I noticed quite a few around between other sites, which I found super helpful and a thoughtful touch. Wonderful place for families. The sites are large and spaced well and there’s water activities and cow spotting to keep the kids entertained. Equally wonderful for solo travel - if you’re looking for views and tranquility; it’s here. I met Lisa and Craig during my stay and both were wonderful people who made my whole stay exceptional. I will definitely be back and I recommend others to go.

Lovely spot by the water! Spotted lots of wildlife, will have to come back to try and spot a platypus! Watering hole was beautiful to swim in, especially on a hot day. Clean amenities provided. The host was lovely and checked in with us after we set up. Will definitely be back!

Lindsay is such a lovely host who guided us down to the river to the most beautiful camping site. Open green fields and a river to swim in, beautiful gum trees and a fire pit under the billions of stars, this place is the ideal camp spot. We stayed during the week and had it all to ourselves. There are also toilets and showers if you need. We travelled with our 2 big dogs who loved it as much as us! Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area 😊🚌🐾

We stayed in site 3 and it was the perfect nook next to the water with lots of shade from the large tree and large open grass space for the dog to run around! Only downside was the toilets being about 1Km away from our site.

This place is not far from Brisbane and it is honestly one of the BEST spots I’ve ever stayed at! It was SUPER, SUPER, SUPER good and so incredibly comfortable. I felt relaxed the whole time. The host, Guy, was beyond friendly and welcoming – he made the whole experience even better. The views are beautiful, the toilets and showers are very clean, and there’s plenty of shade which makes it so comfortable to stay, even during the day. There are also so many different animals around, which makes it really fun and special to explore the area. Because it’s so close to Brisbane, I won’t just go back once — I’ll definitely go back ten more times!!! Highly, highly recommend this place! 🌿🏕️✨

Weekend Trip to Christmas Creek Bush Retreat

We loved staying at site 6R. The creek was flowing nicely when we were there, enough to swim and use our paddle board in. The surrounding mountain ridges are a beautiful backdrop to the campsite. The property is very well maintained, and the grass is so lovely to camp on. And we loved being able to enjoy a campfire at night. We would definitely love to come back to this spot. Thanks for having us stay!

We loved camping at the Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat for the weekend. We had the Cove campsite with the hot tub. The site was very secluded, campsites are very well spaced out for ultimate privacy. We really enjoyed floating down the river and gentle rapids on an inflatable tyre, lots of fun! It was so beautiful and peaceful, the grounds are well cared for and maintained. You definitely need a 4WD to access the campsite, the road is steep and not suitable for 2WD.. The 4WD access just adds to the fun. Highly recommend Eagle Ridge for a peaceful getaway.

Camp sites are spread out and well maintained (flat grassy area) all camp sites are fantastic. Toilet and shower available back at the main house but far from the camp sites- I’d recommend adding a porta-loo to your stay, it was well worth it for us. Our dogs LOVED having access to the creek and so did we. We took our stand up paddle boards and borrowed Lindsay’s kayaks for a paddle up and down the creek. Gorgeous!
