Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in. We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . We have a no dog policy No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off. We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm. We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred). Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs, however, we CAN still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way. The road closure is another 10+ klms further down the road. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

A section of the farm has been preserved as rainforest…where towering palms and ghost like eucalypts stand over boulder strewn creeks that sometimes flood with roaring force. Everywhere there are wallabies, goannas and the weather sentinels…the black cockatoos. Bird lovers will find it is an excellent place to go birdwatching. Take a stroll through the verdant pecan forest where our horses graze…sit by the bubbling creek…and if you are very quiet you just might glimpse a platypus foraging. When the weather turns hot and steamy take a splash in one of the dams or wander down and sit under the waterfall that cascades most months of the year. Here is a wonderful place to meditate…a primal grotto watched over by towering gums and palms. Luxuriate in our newly added spa, including a Hot tub and a Sauna, to detox and relax! Later reconnoitre up the hill and glimpse our small part of the ancient caldera with Mt Warning (Wollumbin) in the distance. While you are there pick some ripe mangoes and take them home for a sweet treat. Back at the carriages the herb garden will assault your senses with the aroma of wild basil, thyme, lavender, lemon balm and mint…weaving a spell to enthuse you to cook up something mouth-watering in the kitchen.

Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking, since the old gold mining town "Lunatics" was not far away from us. Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

We are a 40 minute drive from Mebbin National Park, 25 minutes to the town of Nimbin and just over an hour from Byron Bay and plenty of beaches. Enjoy relaxing relaxing around the campfire in our spacious campsites or enjoy a splash or paddle in the small creek. There is drinking water, a hot shower and a compost toilet available for campers. Kettle, Tea and Coffee provided Kyogle village is a 20 min drive. supermarket, butchers, locally crafted giftware, clothes and furniture Kyogle is known as a "gateway" to many national parks including Border Ranges National Park and Toonumbar National Park. Weekend Trip to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat
Location was superb, the Glamping tents location was private and provided a sanctuary away from the rest of world, even more so without reception (Telstra reception may exist in the area, but not really anywhere along the river). Having a stretch of the river to yourself elevates the getaway to a whole new level. We did have a slight hiccup that lead to cold showers on the first rainy night, but Dan and Kristy were straight on to it, even offering to visit the campsite at 10pm to fix it for us. The camp set up is rustic, but works for a quick getaway away from the hustle and bustle.

The entire property is fastidiously maintained . The tree huts were very comfortable and cool despite a few hot hours outside , affording an amazing view of the mighty Clarence . The camp kitchen was well stocked with pots pans and utensils, and the presence of a nice electric refrigerator was particularly welcome.

Our stay at Clarence River Wilderness Retreat was absolutely beautiful. The property is so remote and serene that you truly feel like the only people in the world. The river and surrounding nature are breathtaking — the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. Living simply for the weekend was so peaceful and grounding. We had everything we needed; the off-grid amenities were fantastic and thoughtfully set up. We spent our days playing cards, strumming guitar by the fire, watching an incredible storm roll in at night, and soaking up the sunshine the next day while canoeing and relaxing by the river. A special mention to Sharon, one of the owners, who was so friendly, welcoming, and proud of her beautiful property. Hearing her stories about her family and the land made the experience even more special. We felt completely safe, comfortable, and cared for during our stay. If you’re looking for a place to truly unwind, disconnect, and immerse yourself in nature — this is it.

First time “glamping” instead of camping and What an incredible experience from booking to packing up to head home the entire process was made incredibly easy and enjoyable with Kristy & Dan being an absolute stand out as hosts. We stayed in the tiny home “Tiny house on the Rockies” and what can we say except BOOK IT NOW! absolutely everything was provided just bring your food, bevies and fishing rods! The tiny home was perfect to retire to after a fun and relaxing day taking in the parcel of paradise! The giant covered deck was an absolute gem, with rocking chairs and outdoor lounge and a top of the line bbq/kitchen set up we happily lazed the days away with the dogs (yes it’s dog friendly! And we were made to feel so welcome with the fur babies!) in the shade watching the river, morning coffees as the dew broke and evenings watching the stars come out and illuminated the sky from the outdoor bath. The tubes make for a fun lazy float down the river in the warmth of the day and the fire fueled bath tub perfect to warm up and unwind as the evening weather cooled off. We can’t wait to go back and experience it in winter. Thank you so much to Kristy and Dan for a 10/10 experience!

We absolutely loved our time at Eagle Ridge bush retreat. This property is stunning and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The glamping site we booked had everything, from the riverside deck to our own private toilet and shower. This site was so well thought out we couldn't fault it at all. If you want a peaceful getaway by the river we strongly recommend Eagle Ridge. Kristy and Dan were really friendly and helpful and they made the stay all the more enjoyable. Will definitely be back to enjoy this property again!

We had such an amazing time at Kathy's place. The location, the setup and the hosts are absolutely incredible. Very welcoming, warm and friendly hosts and the caravan setup is very comfortable. It had all basic amenities and much more - there's a dishwasher, fridge and drinking water. Beds were very comfortable and lots of extra beddings. The view is breathtaking. We had a nice fireplace setup when we arrived and Kathy came up to greet us and was very welcoming. We had such a great night chatting around the fire and star gazing. The space is high up on the hills and you get a full 360 mountain views. The farm animals were very friendly and we enjoyed feeding the rabbits - they were so cute and extremely friendly. Highly recommend staying at Kathy's place. We can't wait to return.

My girls and I absolutely loved camping at Kathy’s! The caravan was well set up and Kathy was very thorough in ensuring that we had all that we needed. Loved that caravan already had linen and bedding and all appliances were in good nick. Kathy was always responsive whenever we needed anything. The highlight of our stay was getting to pat and cuddle the bunnies. My daughters absolutely loved this and couldn’t get enough. They’re already trying to convince me to move into NSW so we can get a pet bunny! We definitely recommend this spot. Great for anyone just wanting a bit of peace and quiet with Kyogle only a short 15mins away if you need supplies. We’ll definitely be back.

So, so beautiful. We ( Nan, Mum and the kids) stayed in the tiny home. It had everything you needed to escape in comfort. Dan and Kristy are so friendly and helpful. We must have floated down the river 30 times whilst the Wedge-tail Eagle flew overhead. There's an abundance of bird life. The outdoor bath was sensational. So many perfect moments. The kids had so much fun 4wd driving down and back up the hill on the way back too. Only regret- not staying longer. What a ripper spot 👌.

Five wonderful nights spent tucked away at Eagles Rest in Findon Creek. Nestled in lush green hillside, this thoughtfully designed, purpose built home provided a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed everything from outdoor showers to refreshing dips in swimming holes and relaxing evenings around the fire pit under a star spangled sky. The space allowed us to be completely at one with nature, being surrounded by an abundance of bird song. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we look forward to a return visit.
