Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. Felt extremely welcomed by Tony who greeted us on arrival and escorted us to our site. The site itself was beautiful and we were lucky enough to get a site closest to the water, falling asleep to the sound of flowing water was lovely. The weather turned quickly on our day of departure and the track became tricky but Tony was amazing and gave us a hand. Thank you so much we will definitely be back.

Sensational site with a fantastic host. We stayed down at the bottom of the property near the creek and had a really nice time. There was some complementary firewood and plenty of privacy. Tony met us at the gate and even took some of our group and gear down in the Polaris. We’ll be sure to come back here in the future to try the hilltop sites. Note: 4wd definitely required
