We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap.
The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area.
Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open.
You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill.
There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road.
Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill.
Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite.
We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied.

The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. UPDATE March 2026- creek is currently dry.
The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD!
In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim.
The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.

We are within easy reach of Main Range National Park, Mount Cordeaux, and Mount Mitchell, as well as the Historic Maryvale Crown Hotel and Spicers Resort. Warwick is half an hour away.
Horses/cattle live here so animal droppings are to be expected and cattle may bellow from time to time, it is a working farm after all. Please do not feed the horses or cattle.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash/restrained at night. Pets must not disturb any of the livestock or native animals in the area. If you a lucky you may even spot platypus, there is abundant birdlife, bandicoots and bettongs if you are a nature lover.
Campers must be fully self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all rubbish and waste with them on departure, as per the 'leave no trace' policy. Please leave logs supplied for seating for the use of all campers. BYO firewood.

This beautiful 200-acre property is the perfect place to get away from it all. We have a hilltop area where you can view the sunrise from the east and the sunset in the west, with absolutely no light pollution. On a clear night, the galaxy is astounding to view.
The property has multiple areas of creek frontage with both kid and adult-friendly swimming areas. There is a good area for using a small kayak (depending on the creek levels) or floating along on an inner tube, and beautiful views and wildlife abound. The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state.
It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge.
And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.
Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request.

We do not charge for children under 5 years of age. Please do not add this age-group to your booking. Children's rate is charged from 5 year to 16 years. You will need to adjust your booking as Hipcamp adult rate charge starts from 12 years old.
Generators are permitted to recharge batteries but not permitted to be on constantly. Please advises if required for medical reasons.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap.
The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area.
Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open.
You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill.
There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road.
Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill.
Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite.
We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied.

The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD!
In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim.
The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.

Located just over 1.5 hours from Brisbane, we are within easy reach for a perfect little getaway. We only have one site available so you will have this great little spot all to yourselves.
We are within easy reach of Main Range National Park, Mount Cordeaux, and Mount Mitchell, as well as the Historic Maryvale Crown Hotel and Spicers Resort. Warwick is half an hour away.
Horses/cattle live here so animal droppings are to be expected and cattle may bellow from time to time, it is a working farm after all. Please do not feed the horses or cattle.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash/restrained at night. Pets must not disturb any of the livestock or native animals in the area. If you a lucky you may even spot platypus, there is abundant birdlife, bandicoots and bettongs if you are a nature lover.
Campers must be fully self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all rubbish and waste with them on departure, as per the 'leave no trace' policy. Please leave logs supplied for seating for the use of all campers. BYO firewood.

This beautiful 200-acre property is the perfect place to get away from it all. We have a hilltop area where you can view the sunrise from the east and the sunset in the west, with absolutely no light pollution. On a clear night, the galaxy is astounding to view.
The property has multiple areas of creek frontage with both kid and adult-friendly swimming areas. There is a good area for using a small kayak (depending on the creek levels) or floating along on an inner tube, and beautiful views and wildlife abound. The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state.
It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge.
And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.

For camping we need to know if it is 2WD or 4WD as many of our campsites are 4WD only. Track driving while camping $45 listed under extra vehicle.
Camping: We have 2 camping areas for 2WD and caravan access Opposite Lock A to H sites and the 14's A to E sites.
All other sites are 4WD access. These are not advertised on this platform. As this is an instant payment platform, we do not give refunds we consider credits for valid reasons unable to arrive but must be discussed.
Property: A 695-acre council registered tourist back-to-basic bush camping and 4WD park located in the picturesque Scenic Rim region just over an hour drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Perfect for 4WD enthusiasts, bushwalkers, mountain bikers, and anyone that just wants to get back to nature.
Amenities: We encourage self-sufficient bush camping. There are chemical toilets near the campsites. Hot showers and a flushing toilet if required are back at the main car park. showers 7am to 5pm as there is no night driving
We do not charge for children under 5 years of age. Please do not add this age-group to your booking. Children's rate is charged from 5 year to 16 years. You will need to adjust your booking as Hipcamp adult rate charge starts from 12 years old.
Generators are permitted to recharge batteries but not permitted to be on constantly. Please advises if required for medical reasons.
We are pet friendly however must comply with "dogs in Public Laws" be on leads at all times. We are a glass beer bottle free park. We do sell bags of wood and ice

A wonderful stay at range view, with both a glorious sunset and sunrise over the mountains, a beautiful little fire pit, and a magical blanket of stars alongside the resident cows and horses. Will definitely be back! ✨

A beautifully presented property with excellent high quality toilet and shower facilities and well maintained creek side camping or open caravan locations. A superb peaceful and relaxing environment with the added attraction of hiking and walking trails. Jacqui and Don go out of their way to ensure that all visitors are comfortable and well settled. The complimentary firewood was an unexpected and generous surprise and additional high quality firewood was also available at $10 per bag. Great for enjoyable night time fireside chats.

Had a really lovely stay at Highland Retreat (Campsite 1). The views are absolutely stunning and it’s such a peaceful, private spot, perfect for switching off and enjoying nature.
The site itself is spacious with plenty of room to find a level area, plus a firepit and picnic table which made it really comfortable.
Access does include a steep section, so definitely 4WD recommended, especially after rain, but it’s manageable and well worth it once you’re there.
I camped with my two dogs and they had the best time, lots of space and a really relaxing environment. Overall a beautiful spot and I’d happily stay again. 😊🐾⛰️

We loved camping here! We stayed at the Riverbend site which is it's own private site. Plenty of visibility and scenery and completely private. We were aware of where the next camp site was but it was tucked away from us and behind total tree coverage so this was really private. Easy directions, very welcoming host, and the site itself was fantastic. Maintained, flat, a great size to enjoy (we got some good Frisbee throws in) and the views are just wonderful. It had a really special feel to the land and we cannot wait to stay here again. What a spot.

Perfect site! Excellent host! We loved the spacious site right on the creek bank. Very friendly and accommodating host who welcomed us at short notice. Easy access in and out towing our hybrid caravan. The site felt private and even though there were other campers further up we didn’t hear or see them. Lots of beautiful birds. Definitely one of our favourite sites in the area.

Weekend Trip to Warrill Creek Camping
We really enjoyed camping on the property although it would have been much nicer with the creek running, but we understand that you can't control the weather. We took some beautiful photographs of the area and enjoyed the quiet surroundings. The property is well maintained 3 1/2 stars 🌟
