We are a working small rural property so with that comes seasonal tractor work/trucks and an element of busy, depending on what projects are on the go! Real taste of rural life while being smack bang in the privacy and serenity of our buzzing property!

The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore.
The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply.
A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use.

This 30 acre property has been in the family for over 37 years and is where I lived my childhood. Now we are running a self-funded Horse Sanctuary and offering camping in a rural setting just a 2.5km drive from the township of Lowood. Our Land for Wildlife registered property has over 30 species of birdlife and many native animals including kangaroos, koalas and echidna.
Stunning sunrises and sunsets and all within walking distance of Lowood shops along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail which stretches for nearly 1km along the boundary. Situated halfway between Fernvale and Coominya makes this an ideal stop on your BVRT adventure or is ideal for a quick getaway being only an hour or so from Brisbane CBD.
There are 2 sites which are private from each other.

We had the pleasure of meeting our host, Ryan, who was both warm and welcoming. His knowledge of the area and its history was impressive, and his passion for the land was truly evident. The care and dedication he puts into maintaining the HiCamp site really stood out.
The location itself was wonderful, offering the serenity and natural beauty of the Australian bush. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the sense of having the space entirely to ourselves.

We camped during a bit of a heatwave & were grateful for the shower to have a quick cool off. Friendly cows, little pggies & even a field mouse visited. What an amazing property situated in the middle of farming country. The section is very private and quiet, with plenty of places for tents. The shower and composting toilet are great too. I spent two nights with my small tent and my car. The only downside is lack of shade so ended up using the shower block as a shadey place to cool meals. Definitely recommend a morning walk up to the turn off too. The horses and cows are very friendly. Ryan made sure I was all settled in and communication was excellent. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous little spot with all the facilities including power! Private site with incredible bird wildlife. Ryan was wonderful, dropping by to make sure everything was ok for us and telling us a bit about the history of the property and the areas around it. Excellent way to spend a weekend so close to Brisbane and to be able to have a hot shower was just amazing!

We had a fantastic 2-night, 3-day stay at this peaceful property in Lowood, hosted by the wonderful Lynette and Lauren. This is the ideal spot for true off-grid camping.
Important Note on Facilities: This is a primitive camp, meaning there are no shower or toilet facilities. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, but if you're prepared, the reward is pure quiet and space.
What it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in space and charm. There is plenty of open land and the entire experience was incredibly relaxing. The check-in and check-out process was easy and seamless.
The absolute highlight was the friendly resident horses! We highly recommend you pack carrots and apples to make some new friends.
For restocking supplies like wood and ice, the town of Lowood is only a quick 5-minute drive away. We highly recommend this spot for a peaceful, hassle-free getaway.
