1 night at The Sleepy Hollow Manor Estate

We loved our stay! We didn’t end up being able to stay near platypus ck but the spot we got at a different part of the creek was even better. Went to bed to the sound of the creek and Woke up surrounded by cows! Perfect experience Toilets are standard Portaloos, but clean enough no issues. Special Shoutout to the caretaker Kyle who, when our camper got stuck in a muddy spot, was helpful knowledgeable and calm, and pulled us right out. Such a great person to have on hand at such a huge property!

We really enjoyed our stay. Super friendly host and amazing views. Very peaceful and was amazed by all the beautiful cows that surrounded us throughout the day. We will definitely be coming back!

Great campsite hidden from the wind . Great little outdoor shower and loo. Good entertaining area to cook up and fillet fish . Beach fishing was average due to wind but pick the right time would be great little spot . Clean and tidy camp

Great property with plenty of sites to choose from, which was awesome when opting for privacy and seclusion from other campers. Dog friendly, cows were free roaming and curious but kept their distance. Definitely would recommend.

We had booked a powered site but a storm came through the day before and knocked out the power. Although unprepared, We relocated to spot closer to the creek. So amazing 👍🏻. Lots of spots to choose from. Going back again this month with solar and batteries packed. Toilet trailers available and Tom is a great Host

The accommodations were truly delightful, and we especially enjoyed the refreshing creek. The gentle sound of the flowing water created a serene atmosphere. It was a pleasure to spend time immersed in nature's embrace. We appreciate the opportunity to experience such a tranquil setting. We hope to return soon for another relaxing visit.

This place is a great spot on North Stradbroke Island. Although tide dependant, close to Point Lookout, close to the Causeway 4WD access. Great facilities for a bush camp, with camp kitchen, shower and composting toilets. Camper trailer friendly, dog friendly. I have stayed/camped everywhere possible on this island, this is my pick. Highly recommend.

Perfect location, you feel like you are far away from it all, so serene, so many beautiful spots to choose from, with the swings and the fire pits, lots of space, but just a few minutes to the beach and coffee shops. Tom was a great host. We will be back.

Really beautiful spot - Tom and his son were super friendly and helpful. Site is easy enough to access and very close to Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, and Murwillumbah. Would strongly recommend to anyone.

What a magic spot...... Such a refreshing place full of positive energy and good vibes, our third time there and am very grateful for the sapce. I hoppe that Tweed Council pull their heads in and see the value that places like this bring to community instead of trying to shut them down and ping them for every penny they can get. Sure seems like government is out to make us all sad and poor these days :(

The country setting was so peaceful and relaxing. The kids had so much room to run around and explore, they loved the creek and the swings. It was so beautiful watching the cattle walk through the creek in the morning sunshine and having them all around our camp, heaven for the whole family. The best campsite, can’t wait to visit again

Amazing spot, super relaxing. The space is large and it's easy to find a private space. Tom is a wonderful host and we hope to be back again soon. There are little pockets of rainforest around the creeks. Plenty of the sites are accessible without 4WD too.

Great spot to pull up camping for 2 nights, Tom was a great host. Came and chatted a few times and advised he might be shut down by council - shame as close to Pottsville and we spent most of our days there and our money. Hopefully Tom and Sleepy Hollow are there next time we visit - thanks Matt...

Tappy's Tours and Camping

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

STRICTLY No Caravans, RV's, Tents or Any Camping site is to be set up within 50 meters of the creek. 2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time. 3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds treat it like you would a national park. 4. All waste must be bagged and taken off site with you.
