Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS. The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent. We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking. We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you. All camp fires must be fully extinguished with water prior to departure.

The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. You are welcome to roam our entire property - we just suggest wearing enclosed shoes. We have some very friendly farm animals - Olly the goat. Barb, Shaun, Dodge, Daisy, Duke, Georgie, Gracie and babies Leslie & Bo who all love carrots and apples. This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. Our pet-friendly property offers unpowered sites for campers to enjoy all this area has to offer. Explore our bush walking tracks, enjoy some bird watching and see what wildlife you can spot! Your evenings can be spent around supplied fire pits gazing at the stars. We have soft drinks & firewood for sale. Please note, access to power may be possible to arrange, at an additional cost. If you require power, please let us know when you send through your booking request and we can advise further. There is access nearby to horse riding, hot air ballooning and skydiving. We are also closely located to Canungra golf course.

We are located in the '14 river crossings' Cambanoora Gorge, just 2.5 hrs from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This 1500 acre working cattle and horse property offers a variety of completely private, riverside campsites.* 4WD access only. Suitable for fully self-contained camper trailers, and high clearance, four-wheel-drive camping outfits. * Note Campers must be self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground, must be a chemical toilet where you take your waste with you).* We are dog-friendly but they must be cattle, horse and wildlife-friendly.You can BYO horse for $12 per horse per day, and keep it in our secure yards. Welcome to Cedar Waters Regenerative Living Hub, a 52-acre site managed by Grounded Permaculture Action Party Inc. Grounded is a not-for-profit community org on the mission to regenerate our sacred connection to country, community and culture. Our creek flat is set up to host guests for camping. It has; - 2WD accessibility, cars, vans, tents all ok. - RVs and camper suitable (no power, water, or disposal systems) - all campsites flat and well-grassed. - communal camp kitchen with pizza oven, water, and gas cookers available - compost toilets (no showers) The pristine waters of Cave Creek flow through the site after falling through the infamous Natural Bridge. Bordering Springbrook National Park there are plenty of hikes and walks nearby to satisfy exploratory vibes. Otherwise, you can just sit back and enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet of this little slice of paradise. We can also offer many optional extras for private group bookings (large tents/marquees, generators, wood-fired hot tub, sauna, guided farm tour, paddock-to-plate produce etc). The income generated from Hipcamp is used to continue to manage, maintain and regenerate the site.

We had such a wonderful experience here and absolutely loved our stay. The place was beautiful, peaceful, and so well maintained. Everything felt welcoming and comfortable, and you can really feel the care and effort that goes into making this place special. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it the perfect place to enjoy nature and create great memories. The hosts were incredibly kind and friendly, which made our experience even better. One of the best camps we have been to so far, almost all the animals you can think of kept our kids entertained all day long. They are all so friendly and we don't want to leave. Beautiful quiet and secluded campsites. We loved exploring the fresh spring fed creek and bush walks. Guy and Isabelle were so welcoming and helpful, happy to answer and questions we had. Can't wait to come back!

We showed up at dusk & set up in the dark. Very easy to find our site. Plenty of room to manoeuvre vehicle & caravan into position. Levelling ramps required due to slope. Woke up to beautifully flowing creek and cows walking in for a drink. I can confirm the water is freezing after rescuing my kids soccer ball from being swept down stream. Next time I come back I’m bringing bikes, friends & a SUP! It’s an absolute gem.

Very easy process to book and access. The site is lovely, you can hear the creek bubbling in the background and it’s very relaxing. Has fire pits for a fire and toilets and is close to town for supplies. Great spot to see the stars on a clear night.
