Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. What a beautiful spot, right by Beelbi creek where we caught a couple of fish and a really good feed of mud crabs. 🦀 Well maintained property with picnic tables and fire pits. We even spotted a couple of fire flys. 🔥 The hosts were more than accommodating and very prompt with communications. Keep well sprayed with the bushmen's ( with deet) and you'll have no problems with sandflies or mozzies. Mosquitoes 🦟 I'll definitely be back only 3 1/2 hours from Brisbane left at 6:00am was set up by 10:30am

We loved our stay here. We had two caravans (15' and 21') and easily accessed a beautiful spot Jennifer picked out for us. It was right on the river with easy access to the water and a fire pit. It was very relaxing here. There were other campers in the property, but they were out of sight. We hired a kayak and a canoe and had a great time fishing and relaxing. It's a really lovely spot.

Such a gorgeous spot!! We had an incredible time camping at site 2, plenty of space from other campers! The toilets were flush toilets, with running handwashing water and soap, very clean! Our dog had the best time watching all the activity, going for leash free walkies on the hiking trail and having nice big swims in the dam! We also had fun with the complimentary kayaks! Owner is super nice and welcoming! This will definitely be our family camping spot from now on!

The site was huge and we had no problem manoeuvring our caravan into the spot. The dogs loved wandering on lead around the river edge. Thanks so much for having us. We really enjoyed the stay.

7 nights at Peaceful Riverside Camping
The local Barramundi Whisperer caught a 94cm pearla the first day we arrived. I jest you not. The cows are friendly and kept the grounds perfectly mowed. The fireflies come out at sunset and are mesmerising as they dance across the river only to be snapped up by the plentiful fish. Each night the campsites went quiet to the crackle of campfires after a bit of laughter and singing. Other guests are kind, generous and a pleasure to chat with. The host was very helpful. Trev made us feel welcome and safe without being imposing. The kids and pets had lots of room to play, ride their bikes, climb trees and get back in tune with nature. We intended to stay for a 1 week working holiday but ended up staying for 3 weeks for rest and recuperation. The stay did us so much good that we invited others to join us who also thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. This is an excellent all round Hipcamp destination that we are sure to return to. Thank you for letting us stay.

Situated 45 minutes drive from Bundaberg, our 320 acre property has a small goat farm and 270 acres of bushland to explore. Take a walk through the trails or follow along the dry creek bed (seasonal). There are plenty of kangaroo, bandicoots, goannas, water dragons, koalas, and varieties of bird life to catch a glimpse of. We back on to Littabella national park where there is more to discover. There are 4WD tracks through Littabella National Park, take a half day adventure through the track to Rosedale pub for lunch and come home, making a complete circle. Trail bikes may be driven through the national park. We are close to Baffle Creek for excellent fishing. There is an annual family fishing festival in September. Or try Lake Monduran about a half hour drive where there is great fishing, kayaking and swimming. There are many state forests and national parks nearby to explore. 20 minutes to Rosedale, 30 minutes to Norval park Beach where you can 4WD during the winter months and see turtles nesting October to March, 20 minutes to Baffle Creek southern boat ramp at Winfield, or 40 minutes to Baffle Creek, 45 minutes to Bundaberg. 1 hour to Agnes Water. 2 hours to Hervey Bay. 5 hours to Brisbane. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Free firewood, collect as much as you need from around the property. We have a small apiary, and our happy bees enjoy the tree blossoms way up in the treetops. They do produce plenty of yummy honey, so ask if we have any available.

On the main road to Agnes Waters, a mere 30 minutes north, is my little slice of paradise. There is a total of 40 acres of bushland here which suffered a huge bushfire a couple of years ago. Now the regrowth is charging up out of the ground and threatening to take over my lifestyle! While I am a new owner of this lovely land and trying to get a start on building a cabin to live in and starting gardens to feed myself, I offer an area to Hipcampers! It is not much, as there is nothing here. I am living off grid and have minimal water catchment, so I cannot offer you any water or power at your site....yet (watch this space). Guests can pitch a tent or park your camper/caravan among the native gums, wattles and grass trees in one of two large drive through sites. At this stage there are no facilities here, so you will need to be fully self sufficient in regards to toilet, water and power. There is a slight slope, so if you have a van, it will need levelling. Camp fires welcome and plenty of undergrowth nearby to forage for wood. Pets are welcome but must remain on the leash at all times. The property is not fenced from the road or neighboring properties. I also have two dogs who can be protective. Please inform me ahead at the time of booking if you are bringing pets. There is a seasonal creek that runs through the property about 100m away. It is a bush trek to get to it (ie: no pathways, yet). And another larger one at the very back end of the property in a gully. Should you wish to get adventurous.

Gin Gin is on the main highway to head north or south. Easy access from here to National Parks for walks and 4WDing. Being a hobby farm we have livestock in a paddock in the backyard. Horses and cattle roam around out the back. Feed the wild birds such as duck, parrots, kookaburras, and more. Just 5 minutes from Smiths Crossing for fresh water fishing, canoeing or swimming or go to Moore Park for a swim, surf or take the bike and use their great cycling paths. Other beaches close by are Miara, Norval Park and further away are Winfield, Baffle creek and the iconic Agnes Waters and 1770. All great spots to fish or crab. The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. All this at your fingertips or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet in amongst the large gum trees and native lemon scented gums. Please note: no late arrivals after 6pm please.

Welcome to Ripple Permaculture Farm! Take your pick from our various camp sites, where you can be parked up amongst it all, or tucked away in complete privacy! We are only 2 minutes off the highway and just a short 5 minutes drive from the small county town of Rosedale, with a general store, post office, hardware store, play ground, community hall, a fantastic cafe, and local pub with great meals! There’s no road noise here, though we do have the occasional train pass by across the road from the front driveway, which you’re pretty unlikely to hear if you choose a private site towards the rear of the 160 acre property! Choose from our various camp sites - you can be close the the central hub of the property, where you can easily fill your water tanks with drinkable (tested) bore water (we recommend boiling or filtering before drinking as you adjust to it), visit the farm animals (daily feedings at 4pm each day) and chat with your hosts if and when you wish; or you can enjoy your privacy further into the property on some huge clear sites amongst the trees (great for large gatherings too!) and explore some of our 160 acres, including our dams, permanent water hole (great for a little turn on the kayaks, provided!) and our shallow creek. We have composting toilets near the main hub, but don’t currently have any other amenities available for the more private sites further in - campers will need to be fully self contained, with their own camping toilet, no digging holes and please leave no trace. Dogs are welcome as long as they are supervised and don’t chase the livestock, and cats must be contained. Campfires are permitted if contained safely or in your own fire pit, when restrictions aren't in place. There’s plenty of free fire wood to gather, or can be made available to purchase for $10/bag. Fresh pasture raised chicken or quail eggs are also available to purchase for $6/dozen.
