Midskinrick is a 40-acre waterfront property on Baffle Creek in Queensland. 70km north of Bundaberg, 125km south of Gladstone. This little piece of paradise, on the southern bank of Baffle Creek, is a great place to fish from the bank or launch your boat, crab, swim (in our dam), relax and enjoy the peace while watching the wildlife.
Choose the unique modern self-contained Lodge or bring your caravan/camper/rooftop/swag/tent and book a camp site.
There are 10 large family sized powered sites with a firepit available for each site (no water connection) situated near the dam. Access to, Hot showers (Small fee applies), Flushing toilets, Washing Machine (Small fee per load) and a Camp kitchen. The powered sites are approximately 400m from the riverbank. Confirming there are no water connections to these sites, please fill your tanks prior to coming, however; fresh water is available for drinking. Select Powered, do not add as an extra.
In addition there are 7 large family sized unpowered sites with a firepit available for each, overlooking the river flats - Septic flushing toilets, Shower room (solar bag not supplied), Drinking water, Camp kitchen area, Firepits - bring your own wood or purchase from the owners (please do not source firewood from the roadside due to animal habitats). Hot showers are available near the dam camping area for a small fee. There is no option to add power here. Strictly unpowered.
Bring your kayaks, stand up paddle boards and other floating devices to enjoy in the dam, Push Bikes to ride the trails, bat and ball for a friendly game of cricket and a banana lounge to enjoy the peace and quiet.

If you are after a quiet serine getaway on 40 acres, this property is for you. You are 4 minutes by car to Rules Beach where you can drive your 4WD with no permit necessary. You are 2 minutes to Baffle Creek Boat Ramp / Creek where fishing is great. You can Hire a boat from us ( boat license required) or a paddle board on the calm waters of the Creek. Stayed in the couple’s cabin. Absolutely beautiful. Comfy bed. Came with everything you need for cooking on the bbq, cutlery plates even bug spray and chairs. Super impressed. The shower facilities are amazing. The property is stunning. And Colin is so welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Fig Tree Camp
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful campsite, and it was an unforgettable experience. The cabin was cozy and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. The view from the cabin was simply breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for a truly relaxing stay.
The host Colin and Katrina were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of animals on the property. We enjoyed interacting with their horse, geese, chickens, goats and even cute piglets and of course their playful dog! It was a delightful experience. Being off grid, the campsite offered a unique opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature. The facilities were with a short walk from the cabin, clean toilets and showers that added to the overall comfort of our stay. Overall, this campsite provided a perfect escape, combining natural beauty, excellent amenities, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a peaceful retreat.
P.S. if you are into fossicking, you can enjoy the gold mines.
