Gateway to the South Branch off Emu Creek with the site off the Lincoln Wreck nearby. Sadly a resting place of 6 people. 1955, Mt Superbus. Highest peak in south east QLD. This is a Historic Area it should be respected and enjoyed by all. If you have plans to do the Lincoln Wreck or Steamers while staying please do some research either by Google or YouTube or ask us any questions please. These are wilderness walks that need to be treated with respect. Border Main Range National Park. Emu Creek Valley 20 km. Which places you close access to many park walks include 2km from the start of the Lincoln Bomber Walk. Or walk to the STEAMERS. Prow Funnel Mast Stern. Spring and Bellbird Walk on Broangus, commanding views of surrounding peaks. Our property offers three camping areas. Creek Flat, Paddock Areas. and Prow View. Fire pits at all sites. Can purchase bags off wood at property bags $10. Cracking camp areas prior to or after walks. Or just kick back with family and friends put a camp oven on relax and enjoy the mountain air. Camper trailers Caravan welcome. Recommend off-road or four-wheel-drive, on road vans can access but need to take it very slowly as there’s four water crossings with gravel and small rocks. Lalapanzi is a private 17ha (40 acre) bush block with two dwellings and some ancillary buildings. The property is 10 km outside of Toowoomba in the Flagstone Creek valley. Lalapanzi Heights is a secluded semi-developed exclusive campsite about 400m away from the dwellings and a base for bush hiking, exploration, bird watching or just relaxing. Your bookings are exclusive, so once you have booked, the other sites are blocked off. 2WD accessible to parking area. 4X4 access to camp site in dry conditions at drivers own risk. The road is not suitable for caravans. Walk-in access approximately 400m uphill pathway. Campfires are not available during fire ban season. A limited amount of firewood is provided but it is recommended that you bring your own if you are staying more than one night. Dogs permitted on leash, but are not allowed in the Rondavel.

The Highfields Pioneer Village covers an area of 20 acres of picturesque grounds with over 70 buildings of historic interest, pleasant surroundings and picnic facilities. It is located just 15kms north of Toowoomba. Our property is part of the Highfields Pioneer Village* complex located just 20 minutes from Toowoomba. This campsite is a wonderful place to rest whilst taking in the scenic surroundings of the village which is the home of the Big Cow. Visit the Toowoomba Fire Brigade Museum which houses an historic collection of memorabilia, documenting the story of the people who have worked every day to keep us safe from fires since 1877. The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Sorry, no campfires. Bush Camping. The Cafe onsite is now open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. *Tickets to the Village are optional and can be purchased onsite from the Kiosk. Recommended time to view the Pioneer Village is at least 2 hours. The Pioneer Village complex is open from 10am to 4pm Daily. I welcome people to visit my art studio by donation. I've been sculpting for over 25 years specialising in extinct animals including taxidermy of some of Australia's rarest marsupials. Camps have 1000m of river frontage (access through the gate or fence) flanked by beautiful hoop pine trees and river oaks. Toilets facilities will are under construction. Absolutely gorgeous location and fantastic facilities!! Teamed with the very lovely Jacqui and her husband, it really is the ideal location to go away for a weekend break, or a week long unplug from the world. The creek is so beautiful, bubbling away in the background with lush green grass across the field, perfect to walk around to ground yourself, or the kids to kick the footy. The facilities and very clean and perfect to wash away the day. This is my second time camping here and I can’t recommend it enough. A+++

We stayed at the Orchard Paddock, and we will definitely stay there again. The campsite overlooked the creek with a fire pit. The host, Paul, is very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our time there. We would like to go and see Paul's art studio next time we visit. There is plenty to do around the area. We would recommend Booyong.

Absolutely loved camping on Paul's property. The Hilltop is secluded and has a great view being perched up, looking over one of the river crossings. A few friendly cows came and looked around and Paul is incredibly accommodating, making sure we were comfortable, had plenty of firewood and new where the best swimming hole was. Will be back soon.

Peaceful rural setting, plenty of space, old but clean amenities. Pay entry to the village once, and were able to re-enter every day during our stay. Fantastic historic village - sooo much to see! MUST see is the transport museum, but everything very interesting. Would definitely come again. Probably not when as cold at night as last week!

We loved camping at Broangus. The sites are huge and well maintained. We were right next to the creek which was just magic. Our little dog loved the freedom - glad she’s had her tick treatment. Amenities were great and the access to drinking water was so convenient. Don and his dogs were awesome!

My partner and I had a blissful weekend at Rodger and Jenny’s Hipcamp and highly recommend to other campers! The faculties were great and we especially loved the Braai set up over the fire pit. We are looking forward to coming back again sometime.
