Absolutely loved it! The peace, the sensational views, ‘Whisky’ the friendly horse, the fresh rain water for our tea 😁 and Gordon was a great host and we enjoyed meeting him. Easy to find and Well maintained lawns to park on… thanks heaps Gordon! Check out Mount Perry… an interesting and pretty country town 😊

One of our fave hip camps yet! Very well maintained/clean area and amenities. Easy access down to the river for a fish and stunning sunsets from camp. Sarah was so lovely and welcoming! We loved our 2 nights at high country haven. Such a beautiful property with a nicely mowed large camp area with an awesome view of the countryside. Even though Gordon was not on site he responded quickly to messages, gave great directions and left instructions about the site. We felt welcomed and priveleged to share his property.Sunsets were stunning and the fireplace was well setup with wood ready for us to use. A great place to setup and relax.

Weekend Trip to High Country Haven

My husband, dog and I spent 2 nights in our new caravan. We were pleasantly surprised by the good directions for getting there. We arrived after dark and had no issues! Gordon was a wonderful host and suggested many great activities. We took a scenic 4WD through the property and stopped at one of the dams, which our dog loved to swim in. A relaxing weekend, topped off with our own fire pit with a phenomenal view! We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely time! Shelly had amazing activities and prizes set up for the kids, so beautifully patient with them. River bank is extremely muddy- so pack clothes you don’t mind just chucking. Water is brown- glad we filled our caravan tanks up before we went. We’ll be back for sure!

Only 20 mins from Gin Gin, 30 mins from Bundaberg, and just down the road from the Bucca Hotel and Bucca Crossing Picnic Area (bring the kayaks). Looking forward to seeing the further development and additions to this great site.

We had an incredible stay here! Thank you Cheryl for making stay soo warm and welcoming! Our daughter absolutely loved all the animals! And there was no shortage of animals! Popcorn the pony was her favourite! Loved feeding the animals too! Your property is amazing and it was great to sit around the camp fire at night. Thanks again for hosting us. We had a lovely time at the Serenity Caravan Park! Late check in was easy as - a handy note left on the office door - and Rob was super friendly and there were lots of lovely little chats with him and other park visitors over the weekend. It was also only a short stroll down to Goody’s on the Beach and the Salty Squid Cafe for coffees and dinner, or to the beachfront across the road. Very well kept spot and beautiful little town 🙂

We recently stayed at Bucca County River Retreat and absolutely loved our time there. If you’re looking for a calm, quiet spot surrounded by nature, this is the perfect getaway. The site locations are beautifully spread out, offering plenty of space and privacy, whether you’re in a tent, caravan, or one of their self-contained ensuite cabins. The facilities are top-notch — the toilets and amenities were exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout our stay, which made the experience even more comfortable. Wrinkles camp is only one site, so no neighbours, with over 10 acres to access other areas for walking or bird watching. We have horses and cattle and it is a quiet and peaceful spot to kick back and relax. Well behaved dogs allowed on a leash, as we have dogs and other animals on property The single campsite (yes just the one site) overlooks a large dam with jetty. Horses and cattle roam around out the back. Feed the wild birds such as duck, parrots, kookaburras, and more. Just 5 minutes from Smiths Crossing for fresh water fishing, canoeing or swimming or go to Moore Park for a swim, surf or take the bike and use their great cycling paths. Other beaches close by are Miara, Norval Park and further away are Winfield, Baffle creek and the iconic Agnes Waters and 1770. All great spots to fish or crab. The Avondale Pub is 1km away with great meals and drinks, and the Bucca Pub is 10 minutes away with weekend entertainment. Jo's road house is just up the road and has all the essentials food wise with great pizzas, and fuel. Next to Jo's is an RACQ centre and mechanics. All this at your fingertips or just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet in amongst the large gum trees and native lemon scented gums. Please note: no late arrivals after 6pm please.
