This is a full working farm and we restore vintage caravans and classic cars. You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy.
We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more.
We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm.
We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim.
The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.
We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need.

The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. Family groups love the site for the babbling but shallow child friendly Stockyard Creek - perfect for paddling and playing in.
The Kingfisher and Platypus Campsites have larger waterholes than the Stockyard Creek Campsite, are great for fishing and swimming as you wander the 2km of river frontage . They both have easy access off the main Kerry Road.
Friends love our campsites for catch ups, the bird watching, small historical or nature walks around the property and of course the cool waterholes in the Albert River.
Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park.
Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River.
Don't forget the marshmallows to roast on the fire at night (firewood provided).
Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.
All campsites have basic toilet facilities (a portaloo) and firepit (with a free bag of kindling provided). Stockyard Creek Campsite also includes a picnic table.
Exclusivity is a feature of all our campsite and for that reason we only take a flat rate booking. Once you have booked no one else will be able to camp at the site, it is all yours.

This beautiful 200-acre property is the perfect place to get away from it all. We have a hilltop area where you can view the sunrise from the east and the sunset in the west, with absolutely no light pollution. On a clear night, the galaxy is astounding to view.
The property has multiple areas of creek frontage with both kid and adult-friendly swimming areas. There is a good area for using a small kayak (depending on the creek levels) or floating along on an inner tube, and beautiful views and wildlife abound. You may even get a visit from our beautiful king parrots.
You can also enjoy bushwalking, birdwatching, and fishing, and there are even deer on the property, but they’re rarely seen. If you’re keen, you can take your 4WD to the end of Emu Creek Road, where you can start your trek up to the old plane wreck. Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee.
Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.
Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent.
Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.
Campers & Day Trippers Rules:
The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
It must be taken with you!
The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in
fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the
creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem!
Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set
up on top of other campers.
Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.
Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all
times.
No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users.
No antisocial behavior.
No camping on creek banks.
No playing around toilet block area.
No livestock to be kept on the park.
No cutting down trees.
No person to travel in the load area of vehicles.

The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits.
There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.
Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request.

Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park.
The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration.
After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving.
Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property.
Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk.
PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

Other groups use Kerry Valley Secret as a base camp for hiking adventures in the wilderness end of Lamington National Park.
Bring your togs and floaties to cool down in the waterhole on the Albert River.

Binoculars and boots are a must for bird watching and exploring our walking tracks through the forest.

Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.

Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.

The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
It must be taken with you!
The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in
fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the
creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem!

Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.

There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.

Campers MUST be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities. Porta-loos are available to hire at additional cost for your stay, please message for pricing.

Dog friendly, however ALL dogs must be on a lead at ALL times and picked up after.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits ONLY, but may be subject to fire bans.
Situated a 1/2 hour drive South of Beaudesert, following the signs to Rathdowney and turning onto Christmas Creek Road that veers to the left. 26kms along the very picturesque Christmas Creek Road and you arrive at a little bit of paradise in the Scenic Rim. So much to see and do in the area, a short drive to the Lost World Tourist Drive and Tommerups Dairy to name a few. Further along Christmas Creek Road takes you past the Christmas Creek Cafe and onto Lamington National Park and bushwalks to the Stinson Memorial Crash Site and Larapinta Falls. So much to enjoy in the Scenic Rim.

Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west.
This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs.
A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed.
There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi
There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road.
Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather

No chainsaws to be used on the property. BYO fire wood or we can supply 15kg for $10. Personal fires permitted but above ground fireplaces must be used. We have a small amount for hire for $5.00 each. Generators permitted between the hours of 7am and 9pm only.

Figtree Farm at Findon Creek is a 600-acre natural oasis. Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the Dedicated Wilderness of the Border Ranges National Park.
This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a joinery workshop crafting designer furniture.
Cabin at Valley's End is our flagship accommodation at Figtree Farm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people).
In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites.
Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall.

Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park.
The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration.
After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving.
Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property.
Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk.
PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

The absolute best! Samantha is an outstanding host and keeps the camp area and toilets clean and tidy. She promptly responds to messages and doesn’t harass you like some other hosts.
Shops etc is only a 5 minute drive away and there’s a bistro/tavern just down the road if you want to grab dinner or a drink. Thank you Sam for being a wonderful host, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

We loved staying at site 6R. The creek was flowing nicely when we were there, enough to swim and use our paddle board in. The surrounding mountain ridges are a beautiful backdrop to the campsite. The property is very well maintained, and the grass is so lovely to camp on. And we loved being able to enjoy a campfire at night.
We would definitely love to come back to this spot. Thanks for having us stay!

This place is phenomenal. The surrounding area and views are stunning, the grounds are very well kept and tidy. On site toilets are clean and the provided hand soap is a nice touch.
We were not bothered once during our camp, and felt very comfortable.
Had so much fun exploring along the creek and dipping our feet in.

The grounds and amenities were very well kept and Barry was a great Host. We had a caravan and arrived on Saturday morning for a one night stay. Unfortunately it made getting a flat site a little tricky, but apart from that a great weekend. Running Creek across the road was gorgeous and a great place for a cool dip.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cheriton Bush Camp. It’s one of those places where you arrive and instantly feel more relaxed.
We stayed with our caravan and the site was huge, private, and really easy to get into and set up. Levelling was simple and there was heaps of space for the awning, chairs, and for the kids to run around and explore.
The best part was how peaceful it was. The kids had a great time riding their bikes and just being outdoors, and we loved sitting outside in the afternoons listening to the birds and watching the sunset. The stars at night were amazing too.
The hosts were really friendly and easy to deal with, and you can tell they’ve created something special while keeping the natural bush feel.
If you’re travelling with a caravan, have kids, or just want somewhere quiet to switch off and relax, we’d highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back.

Our second stay at Christmas Creek Bush Retreat was just as incredible as the first. The property is absolutely stunning, with large, spacious, and well-positioned sites that feel private and peaceful. The host’s communication was excellent, and we were lucky with beautiful weather, which made the trip even better. We brought friends along this time and they had an amazing experience too. Definitely one of the best sites we’ve stayed at in the Scenic Rim through Hipcamp — we’ll absolutely be back!

heaps of room but very popular. as much as this place is so popular there is a fair distance from fellow campers geusts are friendly also hosts . toilets very clean land is worth exlporing , would be great for large groups but also for a solo camper like me . definetily reccommend this place . (pine mountain rd is alot of road in many places) Prepare to travel alot of a road while trying to find the place .

Beautiful location with an outlook of rolling hills and a mountainous backdrop. Once I found the camping area, I chose my own site which was quite private. I did reach out to the owners for some assistance, which took them some time to respond, but when they did, they were quite helpful. I would stay again.
