BOATS
Boat launch locations are available for campers at designated areas within the campsite and to comply with our SEQ Water licence:
* No parking within 20 metres of the water.
* Vehicles must stay on the designated road and cannot drive down to the boat ramp.
* After launching, vehicles and trailers must be parked back up the hill within the Pointro boundary.
* Marquees and similar structures must be at least 6 metres from the water’s edge.
* Boats may be moored during the day but must be removed overnight.
Breaches may result in fines from SEQ Water, which will be passed on to the responsible party.

We do not charge for children under 5 years of age. Please do not add this age-group to your booking. Children's rate is charged from 5 year to 16 years. You will need to adjust your booking as Hipcamp adult rate charge starts from 12 years old.

The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges.
Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers.
At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use.
Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them.

The social dam is currently undergoing regeneration during the winter and is in poor condition. There is however a lovely creek nearby to dip in and of course Lake Moogerah
Our property is located in a special location very close to Lake Moogerah with spectacular views of the ranges, Mount Superbus , Spicers Peak, Mt Cordeaux, Mt Mitchell & Mount Greville (2 streets away) are all in close view. It is a very quiet area and we like to keep it that way.
On the property you will come across our horses, kangaroos and plenty of other wildlife. (Please keep naughty puppies leashed otherwise offleash is perfectly fine). Feel free to bring some carrots to feed the horses. They love meeting guests!
Breathtaking night skies with the Milky Way easily visible. We are delighted to share this little retreat with you. There is no reception for mobile out here. Come out and switch off.
The main house compound is visible from both sites. Up at the housing area we also run a separate guesthouse. If you’re interested in booking let us know and we can do a cheaper rate. Search “Traditional Workers Cottage” on Airbnb for info on the space.

The property is the home base for a grass fed beef business with a sustainable focus so whilst you will share with some beautiful cows and calves, the secluded(and fenced off!) campsite is private and serene. Tarome offers some of the best views of the Main Range and Cunninghams Gap, all of which you can enjoy from the site. The sunsets here are spectacular.
The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. UPDATE March 2026- creek is currently dry.
The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD!
In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. Very private and away from everyone but close to cafe and pub. You could have 20 acres all for yourself or at least a couple of private acres while camping. Four wheel drive are recommended.

We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap.
The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area.
Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open.
You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill.
There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road.
Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill.
Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite.
We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied.

Barney View Bush Camping, nestled in the heart of nature, is situated on the Logan River and surrounded by the foothills of Mt Maroon in the Scenic Rim. Located approximately 12 km from Rathdowney and one and a half hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast it provides the perfect bush camping getaway experience.
With five spacious, flat, grassy campsites and river access, guests can enjoy a refreshing swim, kayaking, and fishing (catch and release) or simply relax on the riverbank and at night enjoy a campfire under the vast night sky.
The campground is accessible by 4WD or semi-off-road vehicles only. It is not suitable for low-clearance vehicles or standard vans; if you are unsure of your setup's accessibility, please contact your host.
There are no facilities, all campers are required to be fully self-sufficient and self-contained with their own toilet and shower. All waste and rubbish must be taken with you on departure. As we are a working property, please be aware of roaming cattle.
Each site has its own fire drum, and firewood is available for purchase at the front gate. Dogs are welcome under adult supervision. They can be off-leash at your camp during the day, but must be leashed at your camp at night and whenever they are not in the immediate vicinity of your campsite.

We camped with our motor home at Nobby Beach and it was a wonderful experience! The showers and bathrooms were always clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

We were only planning on staying a couple of nights but due to circumstances beyond our control ended up being here five nights. The location is fabulous, close to so many shops, there are choices of pools, the amenities are very well maintained. It’s quiet considering the volume of patrons. We stayed in a motor home site then a cabin. We swam, we used the BBQ’s, we ate in the bistro, used the laundry all of which were great but the outstanding thing for us was the staff- particularly reception. They accommodated our tricky situation with ease and we appreciated it immensely. Thank you very much.

Loved camping here, we stayed on a campervan site and the amenities and facilities at Nobby's Beach Holiday Village we great, clean and tidy, neat and the caravan park was kept in very good condition. Highly recommend it and its in a very good location. We could easily walk across to the road to the beach and local cafes and shops.
