Barney View Bush Camping, nestled in the heart of nature, is situated on the Logan River and surrounded by the foothills of Mt Maroon in the Scenic Rim. Located approximately 12 km from Rathdowney and one and a half hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast it provides the perfect bush camping getaway experience. With five spacious, flat, grassy campsites and river access, guests can enjoy a refreshing swim, kayaking, and fishing (catch and release) or simply relax on the riverbank and at night enjoy a campfire under the vast night sky. The campground is accessible by 4WD or semi-off-road vehicles only. It is not suitable for low-clearance vehicles or standard vans; if you are unsure of your setup's accessibility, please contact your host. There are no facilities, all campers are required to be fully self-sufficient and self-contained with their own toilet and shower. All waste and rubbish must be taken with you on departure. As we are a working property, please be aware of roaming cattle. Each site has its own fire drum, and firewood is available for purchase at the front gate. Dogs are welcome under adult supervision. They can be off-leash at your camp during the day, but must be leashed at your camp at night and whenever they are not in the immediate vicinity of your campsite. A spacious grassy flat campsite (Note: all campsites are around 100 metres away from eash other) within a short walk to the nearby river accesses (Water activities are at your own risk and for everyone’s safety due to the rocky consistency of the riverbed and submerged rocks just below the water level no diving or jumping and please ensure children are always supervised, especially near water). Campfires are permitted at your sites designated fire drum when restrictions are not in place, firewood is available for purchase at the front gate $15.00 / bag. As there are five sites spread out over this area please keep noise to an enjoyable level at your campsite.
