Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 2 minutes drive for both fishing and water skiing. The Broadwater National Park with sand-dunes and a fishing beach is only a 10 minute drive away. The Pacific Highway is 7 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minutes drive. The nearest townships are Broadwater (2 fuel stations and a pub under new management), Coraki (junction of 2 rivers), Woodburn (pub with a bistro and a laundrette) and Evans Head (a township with most services). We are a 45 minutes drive to Byron Bay and 25 minutes to the coastal city of Ballina up the Pacific Highway or 25 minutes drive inland to the city of Lismore. We welcome friendly dogs and there is plenty of space for them to run around and chase balls or other dogs. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We expect owners to be responsible for their dogs and in particularly when there are Koalas close by. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. During your stay you can just kick back and relax overlooking the farm which produces beef cattle and fingerlimes, but with the convenient distance to towns and beaches, you can also use it as a base to very easily explore all the region has to offer: Byron Bay and Bangalow (15 mins), Brunswick Heads (10 mins), and Mullumbimby (6 mins), all offering great dining, local market, and retail experiences. the area has a plethora of activities to pursue: swimming, walking, fishing, great surfing, sea kayaking, ballooning, skydiving, horseriding, golf (eg renowned Ocean Shores golf club is 20 minutes away), and the wonderful rail trail for bikers or walkers can be accessed at Mooball, a picturesque 20 min drive away or try out the new mountain bike trail at the vey pretty township of Uki in the hinterland. Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 2 minutes drive for both fishing and water skiing. The Broadwater National Park with sand-dunes and a fishing beach is only a 10 minute drive away. The Pacific Highway is 7 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minutes drive. The nearest townships are Broadwater (2 fuel stations and a pub under new management), Coraki (junction of 2 rivers), Woodburn (pub with a bistro and a laundrette) and Evans Head (a township with most services). We are a 45 minutes drive to Byron Bay and 25 minutes to the coastal city of Ballina up the Pacific Highway or 25 minutes drive inland to the city of Lismore. We welcome friendly dogs and there is plenty of space for them to run around and chase balls or other dogs. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We expect owners to be responsible for their dogs and in particularly when there are Koalas close by. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. We offer you a well located and secure camp-site to explore the North Coast or for that overnight stay while you are travelling to your destination and need a safe place to camp. Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 2 minutes drive for both fishing and water skiing. The Broadwater National Park with sand-dunes and a fishing beach is only a 10 minute drive away. The Pacific Highway is 7 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minutes drive. The nearest townships are Broadwater (2 fuel stations and a pub under new management), Coraki (junction of 2 rivers), Woodburn (pub with a bistro and a laundrette) and Evans Head (a township with most services). We are a 45 minutes drive to Byron Bay and 25 minutes to the coastal city of Ballina up the Pacific Highway or 25 minutes drive inland to the city of Lismore. We welcome friendly dogs and there is plenty of space for them to run around and chase balls or other dogs. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We expect owners to be responsible for their dogs and in particularly when there are Koalas close by. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. With a stunning backdrop Tyalgum is a beautiful tranquil place to be. Our host was so friendly and engaging. On site the showers and toilets are clean and modern, kitchen facilities ok. The onsite “jacuzzi” sat amongst the boulders down by the weir was a delight and the very short walk down to the town with its quaint historical buildings and tardis like Flutterbies cafe topped our visit off perfectly! All in all it was difficult to move on!

My friends and I had an amazing time staying at this beautiful camp spot! It’s pretty much the perfect spot.. creekside, plenty of space to enjoy a few lawn games and a great location to everything you want to check out in the local area (Tosha Falls & The Eltham Hotel were some highlights). The hosts Cam and Jess seem like the loveliest people who want their campers to enjoy their time as much as possible. They were very accommodating but also gave us plenty of privacy for us to enjoy our stay. I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking at peaceful time away!

The campsites are lovely and grassy in a beautiful setting next the creek. There’s plenty of birdlife and amazing water dragons in the creek. Sites 1 and 2 are quite close together and in a large open stretch of land. Site 3 is a bit more private and further away from the road. We had a few issues with the neighbour playing loud music early in the morning but Cam and Jess were super responsive and did their best to sort things out and went above and beyond to make things right.

The grounds were very well maintained as was the amenities block (which is brand new). We loved waking up in the morning and seeing the cattle in the paddock behind our van. On Gullibal land, Figtree Farm provides captivating vistas of Jalgumbin (Mt Lindesay) to the west and Lever's Plateau, a designated wilderness area of unlogged subtropical rainforest, to the north. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a bespoke joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. While Figtree Farm has been a camping destination for family and friends for many years and now we're happy to extend this welcome to Hipcampers too. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. The property is completely off-grid and contains 800m of creek frontage with fishing spots, a swimming hole for campers, and abundant wildlife ideal for bird watchers. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet has recently become a community of 8 private residences that share this beautiful property. We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. OTHER NOTES We strictly have a no drug and alcohol policy. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. We are just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway, between Maclean and Brooms Head. The camp is currently set up for private use for one booking. There is a sink with filtered rain water on the deck, an instant gas hot water shower behind the main deck and also a compost toilet. There is a small solar power set up to run the sink and shower pump. The site in OFF-GRID on tank water only, so it is important to be mindful of water use and make sure taps are off when not in use. Bring your own cooker, lights and chairs. Mosquitos come and go depending on weather or season. It is good to be prepared with coils/sprays just in case. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash if they are a threat to wildlife. You can swim in the dam when full. Enjoy a meditation or sunset drink over looking the dam and admiring the wildlife that also use the watering hole. Please relax and enjoy your time at Groundswell. We are currently working on a network of trails inside of the 100 acres. There is a "TRAIL" sign at the start of the trail behind the orchard. The Spa at Groundswell is now open at the owners home.
