As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

Our stay at Clarence River Wilderness Retreat was absolutely beautiful. The property is so remote and serene that you truly feel like the only people in the world. The river and surrounding nature are breathtaking — the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. Living simply for the weekend was so peaceful and grounding. We had everything we needed; the off-grid amenities were fantastic and thoughtfully set up. We spent our days playing cards, strumming guitar by the fire, watching an incredible storm roll in at night, and soaking up the sunshine the next day while canoeing and relaxing by the river. A special mention to Sharon, one of the owners, who was so friendly, welcoming, and proud of her beautiful property. Hearing her stories about her family and the land made the experience even more special. We felt completely safe, comfortable, and cared for during our stay. If you’re looking for a place to truly unwind, disconnect, and immerse yourself in nature — this is it.

The Shack provided us with the perfect long weekend retreat. Phil has set up the Shack with a cooker, chairs, table, comfortable beds and cooking utensils. The view to the river is beautiful and we enjoyed a refreshing swim and paddle board. We loved the indoor and outdoor fire - plenty of firewood provided! The best part - total peace and quiet! We didn’t see anyone else on the property! Thanks Phil - we would love to come back!

2 nights at Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Five wonderful nights spent tucked away at Eagles Rest in Findon Creek. Nestled in lush green hillside, this thoughtfully designed, purpose built home provided a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed everything from outdoor showers to refreshing dips in swimming holes and relaxing evenings around the fire pit under a star spangled sky. The space allowed us to be completely at one with nature, being surrounded by an abundance of bird song. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we look forward to a return visit. The shack is well stocked with cooking supplies and firewood and the log burner kept us cosy during the cold nights. The view from the deck was lovely - we even saw 2 platypus! The most beautiful site on the river. So private, serene and relaxing. We were a bit worried about the cold (sub zero) but the shack is SO cosy with the fire. Well stocked with cooking gear, firewood and two drums of water (we still BYO drinking water). We were visited by a wombat and platypus! Perfect getaway for two couples and a dog.

I loved staying in the bunkhouse at The Ranch on Clarence. It's an amazing property with plenty of animals, breathtaking views, and plenty of places to walk on the property. Add to it that you are really close to Yates Crossings where you can 4wd, go for a swim, or even just go for a nice walk around. I would very highly recommend staying here.
