Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The Hut can accommodate up to 4 people, however, you also have the option for up to 6 additional guests to set up swags, tents, or a camper trailer nearby. There is space next to the Hut, or for those with a 4WD, there are some lovely camping sites down by the river. We also offer sites for those looking for a self-contained camping site, in a beautiful location. We love the solitude, the endless bush walks, swimming, and being immersed in nature. We are confident you will too. We also have a lovely art gallery on the property, and for a small fee and prior arrangement, you are welcome to come and take a look. From our farm, it is 60 km to Orange with all its wineries, food festivals, and many attractions. Wellington is 40 km and boasts the Wellington Caves. Dubbo is 90 km and is a big inland city and boasts the Western Plains Zoo. We are so glad to let you know we have a new (but intentionally rustic) structure which houses a shower powered by gas and solar with gravity fed water. Showers need to be short because water supply is limited. In a separate space is a gas BBQ and sink. This is pictured in our latest photos. This building also looks down on the Bell river which looks sensational at the moment due to all the rain.

We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. If you would like to have friends stay with you there is additional space we allow for campers, otherwise we do not allow campers without the Surf Shack booking. From our farm, it is 60 km to Orange with all its wineries, food festivals, and many attractions. Wellington is 40 km and boasts the Wellington Caves. Dubbo is 90 km and is a big inland city and boasts the Western Plains Zoo. We are so glad to let you know we have a new (but intentionally rustic) structure which houses a shower powered by gas and solar with gravity fed water. Showers need to be short because water supply is limited. In a separate space is a gas BBQ and sink. This is pictured in our latest photos. This building also looks down on the Bell river which looks sensational at the moment due to all the rain.

Artisans Park is a farm set on top of a mountain which is sometimes windy sometimes snowing and being a farm we have animals and spiders and everything that nature includes note we can not control the weather or nature, there are no local coffee shops, we are not connected to the electricity. This is a camping site and our stays are like camping all heating is wood hot water is gas and lights are solar, No TV no power points no fancy appliances. If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

Bunga Surf Shack is located 20m from our house we are completing building in mid-2025. It is private from our house with a seperate driveway. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. If you would like to have friends stay with you there is additional space we allow for campers, otherwise we do not allow campers without the Surf Shack booking. Please be respectful of neighbours, drive slowly for wildlife, and no flying of drones over private land. Thanking you.

Barachi by the creek is an absolutely magical place. Peaceful, secluded and surrounded by natural beauty while giving you everything you need for a trip away without all the mod cons. Pete and Tania are speedy and effective in communication and are awesome hosts. Cannot recommend this enough. You will not regret your decision to book. Bit of a walk down and back up but that was part of the charm. Earn your holiday!

What a beautiful property, beautifully maintained, clean, tidy, very friendly hosts, the donga was very nice and the big verandah was very handy as we had other family members with small children camping with us, this made meal time outside very nice. I would recommend this property to anyone. The fishing was good too.

We had the most incredible night at Peter and Tania's cabin! The cabin was so decked out with everything we needed and the beds were comfier than the ones at home! The dog and the kids loved the creek, we hiked and explored the paddocks :) A big storm rolled in and we all watched the lighting from the porch and all slept so cozy with rain on the tin roof! Solar shower was perfect to give everyone a wash! Beautiful property and very private, we will most certainly come back again! Peter was so easy to communicate with and made sure we were all set. Great experience thanks so much 🙏🏼

The Shack provided us with the perfect long weekend retreat. Phil has set up the Shack with a cooker, chairs, table, comfortable beds and cooking utensils. The view to the river is beautiful and we enjoyed a refreshing swim and paddle board. We loved the indoor and outdoor fire - plenty of firewood provided! The best part - total peace and quiet! We didn’t see anyone else on the property! Thanks Phil - we would love to come back!

This was a great place to stay for our family, which included our dog who could roam around and was really happy. We loved the serenity, exploring the creek/surrounds and unplugging from technology - cards and Yahtzee are a must! The barbecue was great for cooking and I recommend doing a fire at night. The accommodation is as described and I would definitely recommend the buggy ride down/back for luggage. If you do want to go back to your car and do some exploring around Modenville, it is a fair walk (30-35 mins) from the shack so be aware of that if you have younger kids or are not that mobile you probably just want to hang out down at the shack. Only small negative was the shower was pretty basic. Peter and Tania were great as well, make sure you have a chat and ask any questions. Overall - highly recommended.

The shack is well stocked with cooking supplies and firewood and the log burner kept us cosy during the cold nights. The view from the deck was lovely - we even saw 2 platypus! The most beautiful site on the river. So private, serene and relaxing. We were a bit worried about the cold (sub zero) but the shack is SO cosy with the fire. Well stocked with cooking gear, firewood and two drums of water (we still BYO drinking water). We were visited by a wombat and platypus! Perfect getaway for two couples and a dog.
