Marilyn is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
We are Marilyn and Peter, we own, live and run a mixed farming business from this beautiful land, located in the Central Tablelands NSW. The country varies between undulating and steep land and has 7 km of double frontage Bell River running through it. The river can range from rapidly flowing to the more usual steady flowing and is most often very clear. The river has numerous swimming spots, some with a rocky base, and some with sand. The winding river and the varying countryside is incredibly peaceful and beautiful and is a perfect retreat for those looking to disconnect and relax. The river has its origin near Orange and is also fed into by many springs. Weandre Creek runs in the backcountry and winds into the Bell River. Our comfortable Hut is situated on an elevated spot looking down on the river with a graduated road leading down. It has everything you need for a relaxing, recharging stay in nature. The Hut can accommodate up to 4 people, however, you also have the option for up to 6 additional guests to set up swags, tents, or a camper trailer nearby. There is space next to the Hut, or for those with a 4WD, there are some lovely camping sites down by the river. We also offer sites for those looking for a self-contained camping site, in a beautiful location. We love the solitude, the endless bush walks, swimming, and being immersed in nature. We are confident you will too. We also have a lovely art gallery on the property, and for a small fee and prior arrangement, you are welcome to come and take a look. From our farm, it is 60 km to Orange with all its wineries, food festivals, and many attractions. Wellington is 40 km and boasts the Wellington Caves. Dubbo is 90 km and is a big inland city and boasts the Western Plains Zoo.

Bellandre Park Hut
Idyllic Property, Exceptional Hosts
We loved our stay at Bellandre Park and perhaps one of the best places we’ve ever been. The property is idyllic and beautiful, we felt like we had the place for ourselves even though we were told there’s a few people camping on the other side of the property. The nature surrounding the property is pristine, there are many wildlife to watch and interesting spots to explore. The Bell River is gorgeous, lots of swimming holes for adults and shallow pebbled areas where clear water flows for kids. There were lots of fish to be caught. Giant ones! We stayed in the hut and we were surprised how comfortable it was and complete with everything you need. The linens were clean and freshly washed, the two bunk beds were very comfortable to sleep in. There was no shower but we bathed in the river and rinse ourselves outside our hut if we needed to. There was a composting toilet inside the hut and an outdoor toilet. The other great thing about the property was the host. Marilyn and Peter made sure we got everything we need and checked on us from time to time to make sure we are all good. There were fresh cherries in the fridge for us when we get there. Marilyn also has a beautiful art studio that you can visit for a small fee. The instructions and the details of the property are all accurate and communication was very efficient. Our little family had the best time at Bellandre Park!

Bellandre Park Hut
Go to this magical place!
Amazing experience thanks to the hosts Peter and Marilyn. The view is breathtaking and you feel like you are the only person in this world. The river is full of fish and perfect for a swim. We could not ask for a better spot to spend new years with the family. Everyone was tired by the end because we were constantly exploring and having adventures! Dont forget to visit Marilyn’s art gallery to complete your experience. Super friendly and accomodating hosts, we did not want to leave. Couple of notes: Use the solar charging ports for your phones, they are next to the fridge! Fish the shadows for carps and the deep holes below the hut for redfins. They both took soft plastic grubs and shrimps. We camped near the rapids. It was amazing at night to listen to the water as you fall asleep.

Riverside Camp No 1
A bush camping oasis
Bellandre Park was the perfect spot to camp for us. We are self sufficient campers with 4WD vehicles. We enjoy being away from everyone when we camp and this spot provided just that. We were lucky to visit after some excellent rain. Our spot was freshly mown and had plenty of shade next to the Bell River. The swimming hole in the flowing river was a true highlight. There were fish to be caught and starry skies at night. This is the pinnacle of bush camping on private property. Remote, exclusive, quintessentially Australian. I’m not sure a better spot exists. Thanks Marilyn and Peter for having us.
