One of Washington’s smallest parks at just 58 acres, Kitsap Memorial seems to be designed for hosting a variety of events in a picturesque setting along the Hood Canal. The state’s government website makes it well known that this is an excellent park for weddings, family reunions, weddings, group events, and oh, did we mention weddings? Yep, there are even wedding day-use facilities and vacation houses available for rent. If you’re looking for a rustic experience in a state park, you’ll probably run into more people here than wildlife. But not everybody is looking for the same thing. Kitsap Memorial State Park really is a fantastic area to host an event with some amazing views. There are tide pools, hiking trails, and even a volleyball and soccer field. So if you do plan a visit, whether it’s for a big wedding bash or just a day out of the city, you’ll find something fun to do.
