Deer Creek is the stuff dreams are made of—or, at least your Wednesday afternoon caffeine crash. Whatever your fantasy, this place has got it. Located only an hour from Salt Lake City, the park is best known for its water activities, including boating, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, and fishing on its 2,965-acre reservoir. Stay the night in whatever accommodations float your boat with RV, tent, primitive and boat camping. Cruise along the Deer Creek Trail on foot, bike, or horseback and find yourself alongside sweeping views of the surrounding (often snowcapped) peaks. Seriously, this park will leave you building castles in the sky.
