Just nearby, Riverside Café is ideal for fresh coffee, breakfast or a casual lunch in a peaceful riverside setting.
The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream.
You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water.
The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region.
Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper).
This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day.

Campers need to bring everything and remove everything, leaving no trace. Bring your own supply of water. Firewood can be purchased by the wheelbarrow load, please add to your booking if required. Otherwise, BYO firewood.
We have nine portaloo's available for use, they are situated throughout the property.
Dogs are welcome if controlled at all times and do not bark or chase livestock. We have two Border Collies, so we are dog friendly for friendly well-behaved dogs.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife.
Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks.
If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider.
We only have five campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 300m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available.
Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend and the Crossing sites are only suitable for 4x4's and off-road vans / trailers.

Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf.
There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed.
To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is.
To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here.
To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley.
For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui.
For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast.

This was a great spot, close to Mogo zoo, MTB trails and Foxdog distillery.
Owners were lovely and welcoming and the site was great with river / creek frontage.

We set up our OzTent on site called The Old Diary on a flat area near the old family home. This gave us an aspect down towards the fire pit area (about 30m away). The spot was quiet, with a few nearby homes far enough away, and no traffic noise. Lovely bird life in the mornings, and a beautiful starry nights. The property was easy to find, and it wasn't far to explore Cambewarra Mountain Lookout, Berry and Nowra. We loved the nearby goats who watched us curiously, the sounds of cattle and sheep from a nearby paddock and the Shawn's 4 male turkeys by the main farm home that paraded around us upon arrival! We slept so deeply, with 8.30am wake-ups, must have been the country fresh air!

We had a great stay - what a magic location! Right on the beautiful Clyde River in a beautiful, peaceful location. The sites are a good size, mown and each have a large fire pit. We didn’t use the camp kitchen or shower but both were spotlessly clean and well set up. Not far from the Steampacket Hotel for a good counter meal and cold beverage! Friendly and helpful owners. Loved our stay and will definately be back!

Matt is an amazing host! He was super friendly, welcoming, and looked after us really well throughout our stay. He even drove by in the afternoon to drop off some extra firewood, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The farm is beautiful and sits right by the river, with amazing views of the creek and surrounding landscape. We also got to see cows, kangaroos and horses around the property, which made the experience even more special.
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

Booked this for my partner and this was their review:
Wonderful secluded spot with picturesque views of the creek.
Access is easy going in dry weather for a well prepared 2wd ute or van with high clearance.
Facilities at the site include utility tank water, table, bench seats, elevated fire pit, and a hot tub.
Likewise, there is sufficient distance between sites for a good degree of privacy and peace.
Also, the WiFi access available at the shed is a handy feature to stay in contact with home if the need arises.
Greatly enjoyed my 2 night stay, and I intend on returning.

Where to go
Illawara
On the Illawara Coast, Shellharbour is home to the National Surfing Reserve of Killalea, and the area is also a favourite of snorkellers and divers who can explore the many shipwrecks and marine life-filled underwater cliffs. Beachfront and just a short walk from the centre, various tourist parks offer a range of accommodation including powered sites, ensuite cabins, and self-contained beachside cottages. A little farther south, Killalea State Park has a secluded camping area in the park’s grassy meadows with access to facilities including toilets, hot showers, and an undercover electric barbecue area.
Shoalhaven Coast
Another favourite among surfers and divers, the Shoalhaven Coast is also known as a wine-growing region and for the powder-white sands, crystalline waters, and whale- and dolphin-spotting opportunities of Jervis Bay. Within Booderee National Park at Jervis Bay, the Cave Beach camping area offers some of Australia’s best secluded beach camping with access to cold showers and barbecues. Farther south, beachfront caravan sites and campgrounds in Murramarang National Park let you can camp alongside resident kangaroos.
Eurobodalla Coast
The Eurobodalla Coast is home to the seaside town of Batemans Bay, famed for its fresh seafood, particularly oysters, as well as the Clyde River National Park, where you can go bushwalking, kayaking, and fishing. Just south of town, Batemans Bay holiday parks offer villas as well as powered sites with access to laundry facilities and BBQ areas. Farther south, Tuross Head is perched on a headland between two tidal lakes, making it the perfect spot for kayaking, fishing, boating, and swimming. Look out for peaceful holiday units, plus powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites with ocean views and easy access to the beach and lake.
Sapphire Coast
At the southern end of the NSW coast, the tranquil Sapphire Coast is home to the small town of Eden, one of the best places in Australia to spot humpback whales on their annual migration from May through September. Just outside town, waterfront holiday parks offer large powered and unpowered caravan sites, as well as a range of cabins, with access to camp kitchens. Forty minutes north, rustic Hobart Beach Campground in Bournda National Park has unpowered sites that make the perfect base for swimming, hiking, and exploring nearby secluded beaches.
