It is a 10 min drive from Nelligen town centre and a 20 min drive from Batemans Bay. If you need supplies you can also travel by boat into Batemans Bay and tie up to many of its wharfs for that different experience.
The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream.
You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water.
The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region.
Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper).
This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day.

We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower in a central location a short walk from the campsites. We have a small campers amenities room with a basic kitchen (i.e. a sink, power, kettle, small fridge, microwave) and dining table and chairs, which is a place to do your dishes or shelter in rainy weather. There are also other outdoor pavilions in the central areas on the property.
Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track.
Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs.
Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you.
Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental - maybe for the parents or friends who are not so into camping! Grady's is a pet friendly Retreat and we also allow campfires. We strongly believe these few extra things are essential to create a true camping experience.
The park grounds are well maintained throughout the year. The amenities are fresh and cleaned daily. If you are the adventurous type there are many activities to offer in the vicinity such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, bushwalks, 4WDriving, bike riding, jet skiing, water skiing and much more. North is Pigeon House car park, Yadboro and the base of The Castle. To the West there are hundreds of kilometres of Forestry and National Park roads through some of the most spectacular forested mountain country east of the Coastal Range.
The Clyde River Berry Farm is just minutes down the road. Local fish and chips, great coffee and handmade bread is 25mins drive at Burrill Lake. Some of the best restaurants and bars on the coast are less than 40 minutes drive at Milton and Mollymook.

We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd.
We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower in a central location a short walk from the campsites. We have a small campers amenities room with a basic kitchen (i.e. a sink, power, kettle, small fridge, microwave) and dining table and chairs, which is a place to do your dishes or shelter in rainy weather. There are also other outdoor pavilions in the central areas on the property.
Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track.
Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs.
Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you.
Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental - maybe for the parents or friends who are not so into camping! We also have recently launched a new venue 'The Nursery' at Kangarutha Farm, so consider holding your next event at Kangarutha! Contact us for details.

Connectivity: Telstra mobile coverage and Starlink internet are available for convenience and emergencies.
Access: 4WDs are recommended, especially in wet weather. In dry conditions, an all-wheel drive can reach the site.

We had a fantastic time. There was plenty of room for our camper trailer. There was a nice fire pit and picnic table at our campsite. Meringo beach is beautiful with amazing shell life lining the beach. The camp kitchen is well equiped. Toilet and hot shower are great. We encounter some ticks so remember to pack some tick off.

We had an absolute ripper stay at Burromans.
We were properly stoked by how peaceful the spot is — such a beautiful, nature-friendly place where you can really switch off and unwind.
One of the best bits was having a dip in the waterhole — super refreshing and just felt magic being surrounded by nature like that. The whole place has a really calm, untouched feel that we loved.
Bit of a shame we only stayed one night, because we honestly could’ve stayed longer. We had a top time and would definitely recommend it to mates looking for a quiet escape.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful property! We got to stay in one of the more secluded sites, which we prefer. The check-in process was easy and the amenities were well kept. The camp shop had essentials and firewood. Enjoyed the hot showers! Only thing I would change is I wish the quiet hours started earlier, maybe 9pm or 10pm. We just had the misfortune of loud music up the hill from us until 11pm.

We really enjoyed our stay. Ross and Lisa were very helpful and friendly. The property was easily accessible, and beautiful. The shower was hot and the facilities clean. We will definitely camp there again and would fully recommend to others.

Everything was great campsite spacious and grass is green u can have a fire it’s on the riverside and u can bring ur dogs. Access is easy we will definitely go again.
