Both campsites are in a beautiful location with access to riverfront beaches, a boat ramp, water sports, fishing, mountain bike trails and hiking.
BEFORE YOU BOOK - PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS PROPERTY IS RIGHT FOR YOU
1. CAPACITY - We are able to host only a single campsite comprising a single tent or caravan for no more than two nights duration only. This will ensure compliance with NSW State Govt regulations that are policed heavily by Eurobodalla Shire Council. Please do not plan to erect a second tent – this may result in a fine that we will pass on to you. We apologise if this prohibits your larger family and small group from enjoying our property (which we agree is harmless in moderation, exactly what humans will increasingly need, and should not be prohibited by any government).
2. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. It is gradually becoming more luxurious, but we are not aiming to be a hotel. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but there is no electricity or refrigeration at the sites. A fire pit exists in each site, but please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting. Free firewood is often available, but best to bring some of your own as well if you prefer not to go scavenging. A BBQ is available during Total Fire Bans.
3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. Access and exit will become challenging for larger motorhomes and caravans, heavy camping trailers and 2WD vehicles (especially front-wheel-drive), after periods of heavy or prolonged rain. We will refund your booking fee if you choose to cancel, or we close the property, due to the weather (it will need to be bad for us to close the property, so you won’t want to be there anyway). Please message us in advance for advice if you are concerned about the weather or vehicle access.
4. PETS - Well behaved pets are welcome but must be controlled and cleaned up after.
5. FREE KAYAKS & FISHING GEAR - Each site hire includes the use of 1 x double kayak, 1 x single kayak, paddles, lifejackets, and access to fishing gear (when available). Kayaks can be pooled between both sites by negotiation, but please ensure the other campsite agrees to share before using their kayaks, and return them to the central pool immediately after use.

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance.
Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times.
2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites.
3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. That said, due to Covid and weather, people often cancel at the last minute too, so if we are currently booked out, it's always worthile checking again closer to the date for any availability.
We are on acreage (approx 7 acres) in Otford, surrounded by forest, backing onto the very southern end of the Royal National Park Sydney/Wollongong. Sleep under the stars, and to the hoot of our local owls, and yips of the gorgeous feather-tail gliders. Lovely, peaceful and private in a bushland backdrop but so close and just a hike to famous sites, beaches, cafes and bushwalking - so the perfect spot to stop, unpack and then go exploring.

This site is on a working family-owned and run farm currently running sheep. It has long been a special gathering place for family and friends for more than 40 years, and is now available on Hipcamp. The camp also sits on the famous Bingi Dreaming Track, a beautiful coastal walk that stretches from Congo Beach to Tuross Head.
Moruya is the closest town, a 15-minute drive away. Sydney is a four-hour drive, and Canberra a two-and-a-half hour drive. Meringo is located on the lands of the Yuin people, to whom we pay our respects.

We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd.
We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower in a central location a short walk from the campsites. We have a small campers amenities room with a basic kitchen (i.e. a sink, power, kettle, small fridge, microwave) and dining table and chairs, which is a place to do your dishes or shelter in rainy weather. There are also other outdoor pavilions in the central areas on the property.
Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track.
Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs.
Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you.
Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental. We also have recently launched a new venue 'The Nursery' at Kangarutha Farm, so consider holding your next event at Kangarutha! Contact us for details.

A peaceful private 16 acre property an easy 5 minutes drive to the beach, lake and river around Sussex Inlet.
Paddocks and 2 dams, kangaroos, horses & alpacas, backing onto bushland, great area for bush walks. Plenty of space for caravans, motor homes or tents. Privacy in the back paddock for those that have their own setup.
Good access for caravans. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place.
DOGS ON REQUEST. PLEASE ASK.
We have horses and you are welcome to interact/feed/brush/pat, just ask me on arrival.
**DO NOT USE OUR BINS, take all of your rubbish with you when you leave, guests will be fined if you put rubbish in our bins, no fireworks and abide by fire ban. Toilet is a Portaloo, no plumbing, watering can or hose used for flushing. Please never use our toilet to dump from you caravan/RV toilet cassette.
Check in 2pm, check out 10am.
No fires on our grass, use fire pit on sandy areas where there is no grass.

Enjoy 100 acres of natural beauty, 10 minutes from Batemans Bay (south of us), 30 minutes from Ulladulla (north of us) and 10 minutes from Pebbly Beach (east of us), we have the most pristine beaches available on the south coast.
IMPORTANT: STRICTLY NO CHECK-INS AFTER DARK
7pm in the summer is the latest... NO EXCEPTIONS.
I also have a strict no-noise after 9pm policy.
I offer a safe environment to rest for the night or stay for a few and enjoy all that the local area has to offer. Located off the highway, some road noise may be heard. Only 10 minutes from amazing beach fishing at Durras and beautiful Long Beach known for its kayaking and paddle boarding.
There is so much to see and do. Climb Pigeon House Mountain or cruise on the Merinda up the Nelligen River over a seafood lunch...you will not be disappointed.
Upon arrival, you will be able to choose a spot on the property that you wish to set up. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and take all waste when they go. Strictly no 'digging a hole.'
When booking please note that one site is big enough for your van or tent, the extras button is for extra guest/children in your tent or van.
If you have guests with another tent or van and vehicle they need to book their own site
The pubs and clubs are a near convenience, or you can just kick back by your own pit fire and enjoy the stars in the safety of The Hundred Acre Woods.
Campfires are permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place, plenty of free wood to gather, please do not bring an axe or chainsaw to cut down my trees.

This is a beautiful campsite right on the river. The kids and us had a fire, paddle boarded, fished and ate oysters. Pretty much perfect 👌

An absolute 10/10 weekend getaway! The campsite was well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. Waking up to fresh air, spending the evenings relaxing around the campfire, and having easy access to incredible lookouts and coastal views made the trip truly special.

Great spot. Instructions mentioned the host needs to meet us at the house on arrival but when we arrived no one was there so we just went and found a spot. Updated instructions would be great :) otherwise lovely spot with heaps of space! Kids had a blast.
