Breathe deep in nature on our 10-acre property on a Kings Mountain, California hillside. Our generously sized Safari-style tents offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure. Each tent has beds, down comforters, crisp cotton linens, lights, and more. Outdoor and indoor furniture and little touches that will make your stay unique. Each tent is perched on a sturdy wooden platform and features a fully furnished deck, providing a cozy space to relax and soak in the breathtaking ocean (Half Moon Bay views) and forest views (Kings Mountain). All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days. We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light. Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm. If you're interested in meeting our friendly farm animals, get in touch, and we'll be delighted to arrange a visit at a time that works best for you and them. Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent. Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products. A sink area is available for dish clean-up, and a bbq/picnic area (bring charcoal). KM is famous for its hiking and biking trails nestled amongst the redwoods. The closest is a 15-minute walk from our campsite, and others are within a 15-minute car ride. Tent 01 (180sqft) accommodates 3 people in a queen-size bed and a daybed. Tent 02 (210sqft) accommodates 4 people: two in a queen-size bed and two in a bunk bed and an outdoor suspended net Tent 03 (210sqft) accommodates 4 people: two in a queen-size bed and two in a twin bed + daybed and an outdoor propane stove, hangout deck Recently added: an apartment w a hot tub Kids under the age of 10 are not allowed. Slow living at this farm (Coop d'état Farm) retreat on Kings Mountain. Set in old-growth forest with ocean views, a fire pit and a hot tub, the apartment sits on a working campsite (Kings Mountain Fancy Camp) with chickens, goats, dogs, and cats. A 10-minute walk from the Purisima Open Space trail network. It occupies the lower floor of our home and has a private entrance and parking. With access to a shared picnic area / bbq. The apartment features: an open kitchen, a living room, a spacious bathroom, a bedroom with a queen-sized bed (sleeps 2), and an outdoor patio with a hot tub and fire pit. Surrounded by trees, birds, chickens, and goats, the space offers a peaceful retreat. It occupies the lower floor of our home, with a private entrance and dedicated parking for your convenience. Our farm and presence: This is a working farm, so you may see us around as we care for the land and animals. We’ll be as discreet as possible. Our dog, Messy, stays alert at night to protect the chickens and goats—if she barks, she’s just doing her job. Chickens start laying early in the morning and will most likely wake you up. If you’d like to visit the animals, send us a message —we can arrange a scheduled visit to the coop. Guest access: During your stay you have an exclusive access to the hot tub, the patio and the apartment. You are also welcome to walk the trail to the campsite. (check map upon arrival / green and blue access) and to use the common picnic area. For your privacy and others do not go inside the tents or the other bathhouses. - Dog-friendly - Cats are not allowed, sadly (allergies) WEATHER: Fog is a common and unique weather phenomenon in the San Francisco Bay Area and along the Northern California coastline. Conditions can change quickly—some days you'll find yourself surrounded by fog, other days above the clouds, and sometimes enjoying clear blue skies. We recommend bringing layers and warmer clothing to stay comfortable no matter the weather. Please keep this in mind when planning and booking.

This is the perfect place to disconnect, relax and unwind. It was so quiet and close to nature. But they have wifi should you need it. Truly the ultimate balance between comfort and the outdoors. I bet the view is even more spectacular in the summer. All the things here are well thought of. They really have everything you need (and more) for a comfortable stay. From beddings, cooking equipment and utensils, tableware, toiletries (they smell so goood), towels, firewood, to the nice-to-haves like game boards, books, binoculars, flashlight, coffee, tea, eggs and even a radio! Their homemade seasoning is great! Literally, just bring clothes and food. I have zero athleticism in me and had no issues walking downhill to the tent. Anybody can do it. Just pack light! William is also very accommodating and happy to share information about the trees, plants and flowers around. Half Moon Bay is 20 mins away, so you can even go on a side trip to the beach. There are also other places to discover like wineries, breweries and local shops and restaurants. We are so glad we discovered this gem and will definitely be back.

i can’t even start with how incredible my time was in tent 1. even though the weather turned and i couldn’t see the ocean, the marine layer dripping on the tent and in the trees, it created a bit of extra magic. the tent itself was cozy and so well thought out with what they had inside amenities wise. i was warm all night, keeping the first going until bed and closing the damper a bit worked. i enjoyed the eggs provided for breakfast and some tea. the outdoor shower and bathroom were wonderful, especially since it wasn’t shared with the other tents. it was quiet. everyone was respectful of the noise policy. william and sana are exquisite hosts and im grateful for this overnight stay. i picked up some goodies from the tiny farm stand outside the gate and the cocoa is delicious and the wood burned fir a long time at a beer by state park. can’t wait to return. thanks for everything!

My friend and I had a lovely overnight at Kings Mountain Camp. It was thoughtfully furnished and we had everything we needed, except maybe a knife and cutting board. The hot shower was great, the bathroom was clean, the trails were a little steep and rocky when carrying bags, but otherwise, had good signage and were easy to navigate. Great views, awesome hammock/deck in tent 2. Would recommend!

Absolutely beautiful area, with gorgeous sweeping views from the deck. I was there during a chilly and wet weekend but it was cozy and dry in the tent and I loved getting to still be "out in nature" to some extent. Be sure to stop and admire the nearly 600 year old tree on the property!

Lovely glamping refuge

Tent 01 - Cosy forest w/ ocean view

This was a beautiful refuge in the woods- with each of the 3 tents having a lot of privacy. Just a 5 minute walk took us to our tent which was equipped with everything that we needed. We made two simple meals, played scrabble, and enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean. Sana put care into all the little details and though it was quite cold in early Feb, the wood stove warmed up the tent nicely. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Mountain House, wifi was a plus, and was such a luxury to have our own bathroom/shower and sink to wash dishes. Glamping may have ruined camping for us:)

The experience at Sana’s place made us feel as if we were on safari or in the outback! We were well received and made to feel comfortable with the surroundings and amenities. It is a magical setting in which to have a sense of camping in a beautiful place without the need to organize all of the gear and logistical planning.

We loved tent camping at Sana's spot! The communication was always swift and helpful, and Sana was a lovely host. The tent was very well stocked and it felt extremely comfy to stay there, even with there being a non-stop rain storm! We were really impressed by the coziness and cleanliness and would definitely visit again.

We stayed at Tent 1 and had a great experience overall. The location is very convenient, with restaurants and markets nearby. While we prefer to cook our own meals, it’s nice to have those options close. Despite being near the city, the campsite still feels secluded and peaceful in the mountains. The weather was rainy and windy for two days during our stay, but the tent was cozy, and the stove did a great job keeping us warm. When the sun finally came out, the surroundings were serene and beautiful, offering a welcome contrast to the earlier weather. This campsite strikes a nice balance between accessibility and a quiet mountain retreat. It’s a spot we’d happily consider visiting again.

I loved camping here it was Peaceful relaxing. Awesome views of the ocean and half moon bay. Incredible sunsets. It poured and was very windy one of the days I was here, I was worried the tent would fly away, and it didn’t even move at all! Great work😀 And Sana was very nice

Tent 03 - Overlook w/ocean view

This is a really special piece of land. So close to Silicon Valley, yet it truly feels like another world. Spectacular ocean and mountain views, huge gorgeous trees, friendly farm animals, a real bathroom, and a cozy safari tent filled with fun little trinkets and gifts. We loved every second of our stay. It felt private, but easy to get to. It is a steep walk down to your tent, so pack light. There is an amazing restaurant close-by called Mountain House, make a reservation if you can.

Such a sweetly decorated + high quality glamping tent with an incredible view. really enjoyed the coziness of the wood stove - it got chilly at night! the bathroom was spotless, the bed was comfy, hosts were really nice and easy to communicate with, arrival was simple, and we loved the farm fresh eggs. thank you!
