Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R& as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. Learn more about this land: We are a 501c3 Farm Sanctuary! We care for 70+ farm animals. You can follow us @onalaskafarmsanctuary on Facebook or Instagram. The camping area is nowhere near the animals or the rescue. But it does help support them! Our 45 acre parcel is "no frills camping" 15 minutes from Interstate 5. We are one hour from Mt Rainer and one hour and fifteen minutes from Mt Saint Helens. The camping area is an old christmas tree farm. We maintain two spots for camping. We have one porta-potty shared between campsites. Each campsite has one picnic table, fire-ring and access to a porta-potty. The area is quiet and secluded. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, while the barn owls will serenade you in the evening. You will be able to see ALL the stars!  The road is suitable for small RVs, campervans, truck camping, small school buses, and cars (as long as the cars have some ground clearance). Not suitable for Class A RVs. It is an old logging road made of compacted rock. Cell service is OK. Upload/download speeds might be slow.

This was our second time to Tony’s campground. This trip was just as great as the first time. It rained majority of the time, but the extra large gazebo was fantastic for staying dry while still being able to enjoy the outdoors. BreAuna and Tony were nice enough to let us use the yurt since the weather was so rough. The yurt is very spacious and the pool table was a ton of fun. The yurt has a fireplace which we did not use, but seemed well-maintained and stocked with firewood. There was also a TV and DVD player with drawers full of DVDs to choose from. The yurt is great for getting out of the weather while still feeling that outdoor vibe. There’s also a full kitchen and bathroom, although we did not utilize either during our trip. Thanks again for another great stay.

We had a group of 10 (including a toddler) and this was absolutely the perfect spot for all of us! Ed's property is beautiful with lovely little nooks of campgrounds tucked away from each other, so people could get as much privacy as they liked or congregate in common spaces. There are a couple of sites with steep ledges, so we steered clear of those, but found lots of space for our toddler to run free, collecting leaves and sticks. The babbling brook running through the property was my favorite part. And each camp site has a cute little woodburning stove and firepit ring. It is clear that Ed loves his property and loves sharing it -- he is a warm and inviting host. It is a magical place and we plan to make this a regular weekend spot for our family during nice weather!

Kay was out of town while we stayed here but her sister Liz rolled out the red carpet for us! Fresh flowers, warm cookies, firewood, veggies from the garden, and of course the gift of time to show us around the beautiful property! The kids loved feeding the chickens, frolicking in the garden, and tasting the sweet honey from the bees! The site was clean and level and never had bees near us. The views of the mountains and gardens were breathtaking and can be seen right from the site. We brought our telescope and had great views of the full moon, stars, and even several planets. It was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect little weekend getaway. We will definitely be coming back again! Would recommend for sure

Tony’s campground is a Hidden gem. Ample space to spread out for the kids to run and play freely. Nice amenities like power and water hook ups and a large gazebo to catch some shade or stay out of the rain. There are a few solar lights spread across the property which provide a relaxing ambience at night. There are some small trails that loop around the property that kept the kids entertained for hours. The site is maybe 10 minutes from downtown Onalaska. The night sky was incredibly clear and we were able to see the rings of Saturn with the telescope before the clouds moved in. Tony and a BreAuna were incredibly kind and checked in to see if there was anything we needed. We will stay here again.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to camp with dogs. We had six dogs among three people and had such a wonderful time on this property! The dogs were safe and entertained and had plenty of space to run and explore and play. We were able to go and enjoy the visiting goats and the ducks and the chickens. Sarah and her partner were super wonderful and welcoming, and we had a great time renting some of the games they had available.

We had the best time at Summers Pleasant places! Three of us and six dogs, the mostly fenced in property and being away from the road created such a relaxing and stress-free few days. This was such a convenient location, close to convenience stores but having the whole back area of the property felt very private. We didn’t mind the farm animal noises or the other regular rural sounds. It didn’t bother us at all. Visiting with the chickens, and goats was definitely a highlight as well. The kitchen sink and counter space was incredibly helpful and well designed! It was so nice to not have to bring all of that extra gear. We loved being about to have a fire to cook over and cozy up to at night. Summer was very communicative and hospitable, answering all of our questions and accommodating us at her place on such short notice. We can’t wait to come back so the dogs can run free in the field again!

This was our first voyage with our teardrop trailer. Scott’s camp was perfect for us — away from the city and very peaceful, but not difficult to find. We stayed at Site 3 and really enjoyed the view of the meadow and trees. Felt very safe. And the outhouse, hand sink, and solar shower were wonderful to have right there. And it’s sooo quiet at night. Thank you, Scott!

The grounds were very well maintained which made the stay even more enjoyable. It was our first time camping so we definitely overpacked but the site made everything easy and comfortable. I booked site 3 because it is a bit more secluded which was perfect for my reactive dog, luckily we were the only ones there. The guy who showed us around was super nice and chill and checked in often which I really appreciated. My dog was barking at him and I felt super bad about it but he was chill about it and i’m appreciated that. The overall vibe was peaceful and relaxing. There were plenty of animals roaming around which was pretty cool (a little creepy at night haha.) If you are looking for a quiet and well kept spot to camp I would definitely recommend this place.

Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R& as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. Located only a 5 minute drive to Mayfield Lake in Lewis County, our property is a rustic retreat from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of outdoor exploration opportunities in the area. We have 5 acres with a great camping spot with a fire pit nestled among large evergreen trees. The tress provide shade in the summer months. For bird lovers and botanists, we have left our land native with grass lands among the trees. We have local osprey, eagles, and falcons as well as doves, owls, cickadees, woodpeckers, robins, etc. We also have local deer that travel through the land, and mostly leave us humans alone.

Midway between Portland and Seattle, Kearney Creek is just 20 minutes off I-5 and 20 minutes from numerous boating, fishing, and swimming opportunities. We are just 90 minutes to Mt St Helen's, Mt Rainier, the Pacific Coast, and the Eastside so make this your base camp and go play! P.S. Your friendly neighbor to the south is my sister Shannon. She works from home so you may see her pass through her backyard from time to time. Please split the yard with her and remain on your side? She'll do the same for you.
