We had a great time at this little cabin. The view on one side had a view of construction equipment and there was some construction noise when we arrived but it stopped shortly after and did not resume. We had a great time going through all the tapes in the cabin- our favorite was Kitaro Astral Voyage. The grounds were nice to take a walk on, and found it extraordinarily easy to have a dog with us, the gate at the top of the stuff was perfect to keep him contained while in the hot tub and there was so much space for him to run around and get some energy out. The wood stove kept the cabin plenty warm- almost too warm much of the time so we had windows cracked and the fresh air was nice. The only part that was iffy to me was asking for us to do our own cleaning up, as well as leave a tip for the housekeeper, as well as a $100 cleaning fee and while this has become standard for most places unfortunately, it doesnāt sit well with me to ask
for all 3 of those things, especially as the cabin wasnāt pristinely clean to begin with. The dust bunnies under the upstairs bed and splatters on the wall around the stove and the splatter on the bathroom door need attention, however we are not clean freaks and it wasnāt too much of a bother. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend this spot. Next time we would probably go for the yurt as it is slightly more secluded without being in view of houses/construction equipment. Oh, and large people might struggle to get up the stairs. 5*

Absolutely magical space! Loved how cozy it was - tiny, and yet we had everything we could have needed (except cell service, but that was a bonus). Super friendly neighbors and hosts. Loved the cassette player, and all the quirky decorations that made it feel like a real home. Would absolutely recommend a stay here.

Romantic Wilderness Tree House!!
Overall we had a lovely time at Lothlorien! We very much appreciated relaxing in the hot tub, the quirkiness of the decor, and how clean the place was. I donāt think weād stay here again, mostly due to the price point feeling a bit high. I suppose this is how these rentals are run now, but to pay high cleaning fees, be asked to leave a tip, and also be asked to put away our own clean dishes feels a bit much. The view was largely of the ownerās houseā although the whole property is secluded, you are looking out at a yard and two homes. We loved that our dog could join us but prospective visitors should also know dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the couch (might be hard for pups who arenāt used to this!) All in all a great landing place for exploring the gorge and seeing some wildflowers.

My Wife and I had an amazing experience camping at the Yurt. It was clean when we arrived and everything worked. I woke up to a flat tire on day 2 but the caretaker Jeremy was awesome and had all the tools needed to help me get a spare on. Also gave me directions to Pacos tires where we were able to get our tire fixed and back on the road to breakfast. We bumped into Roy on our way in and he is also extremely friendly. We would most certainly stay here again. We enjoyed the hot tub outside, cooked on the grill and enjoyed drinks by the fire. An awesome weekend for our 11th Anniversary.

Lux Romantic Wilderness Yurt
It had everything we needed from cooking to relaxing. It is set in a beautiful location and we enjoyed hearing all the animals nearby. The directions were clear and we were able to get there with ease. It's the perfect get away from Portland to unwind and unplug.

This place is a dream escape. The host was very responsive and the directions were very clear. It is a very beautiful area and the treehouse had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Bring your groceries and pack everything out.. We explored the town White Salmon and found some breweries that were great. I definitely recommend and will be coming back.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Treehouse and loved relaxing in the hot tub as well. Although a few recomendations I would mention is that having a few more toiletsries avaible for guests to use in the bathroom woukd have been nice, there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner on hand to use and having a spice rack in the kitchen would have been nice than just table salt and generic pepper. Other than that the space was very nice and comfortable. The bed was warm and comfy as well. Oh yeah one last thing I had no idea that there would be absolutely no tv, cable or internet at all, in the listing I didn't see that bit of information. It would have been nice to know ahead of time since we didn't know what to expect otherwise. Great hip camp spot though and I very much enjoyed the quirkiness of the treehouse.

We loved the coziness of the cabin. It was a great base for exploring nearby, where we heard & saw owls, explored Trout Lake and White Salmon, and showed our son how to work a cassette tape player.

Romantic Wilderness Tree House!!
Lovely tree house, beautiful area! We stayed here with our three year old and our goldendoodle for two nights. The treehouse is lovely (and frankly, much more comfortable and equipped than we anticipated). The land it's on is beautiful too; my toddler loved hunting for owls (we heard at least two and saw one), feeding the horses, walking around in the meadow, and finding sticks. We look forward to coming back!

We had a great time at the treehouse! The woodburning stove kept us toasty and warm the entire time. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Its the perfect place to relax and unplug (no cell service). We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous yurt in a gorgeous setting. We had a great time. Please note that the bed is rather small - I guess it's a double but feels slightly smaller than a standard double. So you will be cozy with your sleeping mate (hence the title Romantic Wilderness Yurt:).

What a magical place!! The hosts had everything we needed and even gave great directions to the place and I never felt lost. The hot tub is beautiful and bigger than I thought. Everything was exactly where I thought it would be and they even had some good music to use in the cd and cassette player! The location was great, the place was great, we loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at the Romantic Luxury Wilderness Yurt. Breakfasts out on the deck, day hikes in the area, evenings in the hot tub, everything clean and tidy... It was what we were looking for and more. We'll definitely be booking more of our vacations here!

What a cozy place to stay. It rained a bit so we were happy to have a place to snuggle down with a good book. My kids loved listening to cassette tapes. The Star Trek sound tracks were their favorites but the was something for everyone. My husband even found a tape with a friend's band from high school on it. The only thing missing was a good place to play a board game we brought with us - but you could easily get by playing the cards or Yahtzee we found there. A stay here would be a little different in every season & all equally enjoyable. We may be back!

The space was cozy and comfy. We had a nice stay overall. Under these times, the double deck and outdoor space immediately outside the treehouse is greatly appreciated and was a nice space for our kid to play independently with us nearby. We were pleasantly surprised there was a small propane grill. Host was responsive and friendly. Easy and quick communication. There are a couple of dogs on the property which the host told us about. Super friendly and sweet. One hung out with us on the porch most of the day.
Location- we knew there would be other buildings closeby on the property but wasnāt expecting so much activity during the day. There was sawing or milling on the property just beyond the treeline from mid-morning to sundown. (We were there for 2 nights) While we couldnāt see it, it was constant background noise. So itās not quiet or isolation but was fine for our stay.So even though we were disconnected (and had no cell service), the location is not remote or secluded.

Our stay at the Tree House Tranquil-A-Tree was amazing! After several very stressful months, we needed a getaway that was quiet and rejuvenating which is exactly what we received during our stay. The craftsmanship of the yurt, deck, and cedar hot tub was beautiful. We enjoyed reading books on the lovely deck and soaking in the hot tub. Additionally, the hosts obviously took great care in taking precautions and keeping their guests safe during Covid-19 which we definitely appreciated. We will definitely be back!

The treehouse was quirky, very unique. We loved the little spiral staircase and the large patio/ balcony space. The hot tub was nice, but old and a bit smelly. But we still spent a good amount of time in it and throughout the house reading and playing cards. Overall it was a very relaxing trip. I would have liked some more information on trails to do nearby, We just walked the dirt road we came in from both ways and didnāt find anything in the way of a footpath, but the walls were pretty and we were accompanied by the sweet neighbor dog, āLoki.ā The only other downside/surprise for me, was how close to the main house it was. From the pictures I expected it to be tucked away into the forest a bit, and had the impression in might be on a hill overlooking Mt Hood (or Rainer?), but it was a side road of the property, right across a grass field from the main house. Despite these few disappointments we still really enjoyed are trip, but for how much we spent for three nights, we felt it could have been more secluded, with more forest trail/hiking options.
