Relax on our 5 acre farm in the beautiful Skagit Valley! Pitch your tent along side our sheep pasture either close to your car and the pool house (complete with bathroom/hot shower and changing room/kitchenette) or on a grassy spot past our garden and only a short walk from parking. The small changing room also has a small fridge, toaster and bottled water if our well water isn't your thing. Both spots have fire rings and chairs or a picnic table and each can fit one large or two small tents (4 people per spot). While camping here, you can walk to both a great hike (Big Rock) with amazing views and to good food and drinks at Big Rock Roadhouse. Hop on your bike to explore the beautiful country roads that can lead you to Clear Lake for a swim or park your boat, trailer or toy hauler by the barn for an additional fee if that's where your passions lead. Wildlife abounds here with rabbit, deer, eagles, song birds, owls, coyotes and most recently, cougar running thru our property. We currently have 4 sheep, 4 kids, chickens, Bobby the Border Collie and a few cats about so it's safer if we keep this a pet-free (yours:) camp for now.

Our family had a really nice stay at Eileen's place! It's so pretty with the red barn, sheep at the entrance, chickens walking around, apple trees, the two camp sites are soft and grassy, and the flushing toilet and shower were a pleasant upgrade from the portapoties we'd had at other places :). Eileen is so friendly and we felt very welcome, thank you for opening your place up to us!
We had a lovely stay at Base Rock camp. We stayed at the first campsite nearest the pool house as we arrived later in the evening. Eileen was very hospitable she had lemon water and local beer (Farmhouse really good!) for us in the side room of the pool house. The pool house bathroom was clean and accessible, so nice to have! We enjoyed the fire bowl and they had wood for us to use, which was really helpful. The sheep, kitten, chickens and dog Bobby were so sweet and friendly it was such a treat to be surrounded by such cute critters who enjoyed being pet. Both sites had wonderful views. We stargazed at the fire bowl nearest the pool house and sat in the cozy chairs surrounding it. The site nearest the pool house is closest to the chicken coop so you may here a rooster in the a.m. The wood chips at the site nearest the pool house were soft and comfortable to lay a tent on. We are so grateful for Eileen's hospitality and would def. come again and recommend!
What an amazing experience! We got a little taste of Eileen's very own paradise. This property is gorgeous and exceeded all of our expectations. Eileen was welcoming and made us feel right at home immediately. The unexpected highlight were the incredible animals. Her dog Bobby, greeted us and then to our surprise stayed outside our tent all night! He barked a few times and we really felt like he was protecting us. In the morning he wanted a tummy rub and then headed off like it was a job well done. We loved this sweet dog! We also met a kitty that was the sweetest ever. The neighbor's dog was watching us as we arrived and made his way around fences and to the front yard to come meet us. He started down the long driveway and so I called him to come over. He then ran to us, came right up to our feet then immediately plopped to the ground and rolled over for us to rub his belly. I have never met such a friendly dog-especially without his owner even being present! We loved this beautiful place and we wish we could have stayed longer. (We left early to catch the ferry to Friday Harbor which I also highly recommend) We really hope we can come visit again. We absolutely loved it.
Loved this spot!
A friend an I stayed here on a recent 12 day road trip up the Pacific Northwest coast. Super comfortable grounds with plenty of space for tents and seating. There were several options to sleep, closer to the car or more private (where we stayed).
Very clean and spacious bathrooms (plus warm shower!!). Far enough away from cities to see the stars. The adjacent field had sheep and blackberries. We were also greeted by several dogs and kittens.
I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for a very relaxed evening.
My boys (4 & 8) had a great time! Eileen and her family were great hosts.
- we had access to a "pool clubhouse" that had a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. It was very nice to be able to clean up when needed. The clubhouse also had purified water, a toaster oven and a fridge which was awesome.
- My boys loved having sheep, chickens (I didn't need the rooster to wake me up at 6:00 am but the kids loved it!) and dogs/cats to play with.
- Access to town was good - only 10 min away.
Highly recommended, my boys want to know when we can come back!
