Thanksgiving weekend fun!
Another fantastic time at Blackwater Birds and Bees! It was a great and simple Thanksgiving and once again, our toddler enjoyed playing with all the animals! The campsite is perfect for our camper van and we will be back for sure!
Black water Birds and Bees is a fantastic place to camp. The campsites are tucked away and some even by a lake. James and his family are very welcoming and make sure you stay will be nice. We will definitely be back.
Blackwater birds and bees was quite a beautiful stay. The owners are very accommodating and friendly keep the sites very clean and the views are enjoyable for humans and dogs alike. I'll definitely be coming back to enjoy another night of camping I would recommend anyone do the same.
Perfect getaway spot!
This is the PERFECT place if you’re looking to have a fun, private, camping experience. I took my 5 year old for his first camping trip and we had so much fun. We took the boats out, walked the trail, had a fire, and laughed until bed time. Phillis greeted us and showed us directly to our sight and gave me detailed information on the area. The fire wood bundle was perfect for us. We had a fire going from about 4:30 until 10:30 and stayed plenty warm (it got down to about 35). Great place that I fully intend on using in the future with a larger group! Thank you very much!!
Relaxing and peaceful
I have stayed at Blackwater Birds and Bees a few times. It is relaxing and peaceful. For me the fishing is my favorite part along with walking around. My family enjoys the farm animals and great scenery. I will always recommend camping here to my friends or anyone. They also have a little shop there in cause you forgot your smores ingredients along with other great items like fresh honey, homemade wine, and even some games. James is a great host and everyone is very friendly. Thank you for allowing us to make some more great memories while staying at your campsite.
Heaven for kids (and adults too!)
Going into this weekend my expectations were high based off of other reviews and first-hand accounts from friends, but our stay was more magical than I could have imagined. The farm is so beautiful and tranquil, and James and his mother, Phyllis, are such wonderful, accommodating hosts. We had a large group (11 families, totaling over 30 people each night) and rented out the entire farm and the bungalow. We all wanted to stay near each other so James suggested site 3, which was perfect. We had 5 campers and a bunch of tents and had plenty of room to spread out but still be close enough to hang out. The children were in HEAVEN, and spent their days running, biking, and kayaking to their heart’s content (on that note, do bring bikes for your kids—they will love to ride all around!). It was SO nice to not have to worry about disturbing other campers as we stayed up talking and laughing around the campfire until the wee hours. James and Phyllis were so responsive to our every need, and so kind to boot. Truly a unique, wonderful place.
