Welcome to our 1916 barn that's been converted into a cozy, rustic cabin and is tucked away in our more than 10 acre farm. This charming spot is perfect for a couple's getaway to rest, recharge, and explore the outdoors! About the Property: The rolling hills, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and the bountiful wild flowers do not disappoint if you are looking for a peaceful time away. The property itself is wonderful to explore - whether that be wandering through the vineyard at sunset, or taking a walk on the farm and saying hi to our goats, chickens, and cows. We are located about 30 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, New Market Battlefield, and the Skyline Drive, which is so stunning any time of year! Campers can enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and visiting wineries. There is something for everyone to enjoy! We are also near the town of New Market, VA if you need to head into town and pick up some necessities. We really enjoy meeting campers and providing suggestions about what to do on and around our property, though we also respect guests' need to privacy and quiet-time if that is preferred. We want you to enjoy your time here! About the Listing: The cabin is a refurbished barn with a loft that has been converted to a sleeping quarters. Equipped with string lighting and a little sitting area, the loft is the perfect place to unwind after a day out and about. There is a couch and dining table on the lower level for you to enjoy meals at or maybe even start a puzzle on! We have updated the outhouse pit toilet for more comfort, and there is also fresh water from a spigot/well on the property. There is a microwave and mini fridge available to campers in the barn as well. There is no heat in barn but come equipped with comforters. /p> We hope you'll enjoy the craftsmanship and country setting as much as we do! We love animals, but we do not allow pets at the Farm Barn since we have farm animals on the property as well. This is the only barn for campers on site, though we do have other designated tent camping spots and it is a working farm so you will be seeing other campers or us, your Hosts, during your stay. Additional Details to Note: - Check-in time: After 2pm and Check-out time: By 12pm noon - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception is available on our property. Feel free to unplug during your stay though! There is no wifi. - Our property is family friendly, and we have tent sites available, though this cabin is best suited for 2 people. - Camp fires allowed in the fire pit. - We do have a rooster on the farm, so please bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Super friendly hosts and a beautiful setting. We loved meeting the different animals and walking around the farm. Enjoyed clear dark skies and a fire in one of their several fire rings. Nice quiet location, not far from Shenandoah.

Decided to go on a last minute trip to Shenandoah National Park and found this gem! Although it was a bit cold, we still had a great time and enjoyed this beautiful farm. Especially the baby goats, the stars and the cat that came to visit us. The hosts were very kind people that provided us recommendations to local wineries and restaurants. Thanks so much for sharing your land!

We highly recommend camping at this spot if you’re visiting Luray or Shenandoah! Highlights included watching the sunrise over the farm and seeing the baby goats! We appreciated that the outhouse was clean and well stocked with a first aid kit and toiletries.

This is such a wonderful site to visit.! The owners are extremely welcoming, always stopping to chat and to teach us more about their property. The directions are clear, the views are beautiful, and only a short distance from great hiking trails. We love coming here and will be back very soon! You need to try their local honey too!

I had an amazing time at the farm, the barn itself was cozy and comfortable with everything I needed. It was so nice to wake up and walk around the farm and meet all of the animals and take in the beautiful view. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, recommending local food and hikes. I would love to come back to the farm sometime soon I had such a relaxing and fun time!

Camp with animals

Perfect spot if you’re looking to enjoy Shenandoah Ntl Park without all the crowded camp sites! The property itself is gorgeous, featuring the natural landscape, farm animals and the clear night sky. Mike is super responsive and will accommodate generously (we had some car trouble and he responded within minutes). Would highly recommend this site for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the great outdoors!

Camping under a huge sky of stars

The aspect of this experience that stood out the most was the exceptional kindness of our hosts. I saw availability on their property a bit last minute (I booked a day and a half prior to our stay) and they were already reaching out to us as an introduction. We came from about 4 hours away and they were already around to greet us and show us to our site. They allowed us to walk around the farm where they had animal coops and a vineyard. When we were just lounging around our site, they came by to drop off kindling for our provided firewood. They kept the outhouse nice and clean. The weekend we picked to camp there had lovely weather and we got to experience the beauty of their property to the fullest. By the time we got home, we had spoken to our friends about it and how we should all book with these hosts again in the future. I highly suggest this farm for a relaxing, low-key camping trip to kickback and hangout with your crew. Thank you again Brittany and Mike for letting us stay with you!!!

Amazing Barn Loft Stay!

Amazing experience! We loved our barn stay and would definitely come again. Hosts were friendly and super responsive. The barn had all the amenities needed, plus a few friendly pets to greet us. Outhouse was very clean, fire pit stocked with wood and other essentials, property was beautiful. We had a great time!

A short but excellent stay

We only had time for an overnight stay - wish we could have been here longer! Lovely farm, quiet and relaxing. Mike met us as we pulled in the driveway, and was as friendly and helpful as anyone could be. The location is great too - short hop to local trails and quaint Virginia towns. We'll definitely be back!

The property is absolutely beautiful! Mike and Brittany are the kindest hosts and have created a very special retreat on the hilltop. The barn is a fun mix of rustic and special touches, and comes equipped with the friendliest cat you will ever meet. We hope to have the chance to get back out there sometime soon.

Awesome place!

I camped here with some friends and we had the nicest time! We stayed at Site #3, which had plenty of shade and privacy, along with a hammock. There was some nice farm animal noise for ambience without being overwhelming and a super friendly black cat! The toilet was clean, well built with a nice door and light, conveniently positioned for all the campsites. The roads were easy to drive on getting there. Great communication from the host too! They even left us some firewood. Overall a great place to camp. Conveniently close to some cool caverns for day trips.

It was great staying at B&M Journey Farm again! Mike and Brittany are great hosts. It is a great central location to get to local hikes. We are considering going back in October for the Applebutter Festival!

Beautiful land and welcoming hosts!

We loved camping on Mike & Britney’s land. The views from every piece of the land are beautiful, there are so many animals about to snuggle with, the gardens and land are so well maintained. It feels like a place that is well loved but not only that but Mike & Britney are so kind - Mike greeted us and gave us the lay of the land and then we got to talking and Britney joined and it was such a lovely warm welcoming interaction. The time we spent with them and their land was a highlight of our trip. I hope to return and I recommend visiting!

Great spot for a DC camp get away

Tent camping is easy when there’s water and firewood onsite! Fun to visit the goats and a good homebase for hiking. I imagine it’s an even prettier location later in the spring and early summer Had the pick of 2 campsites. One had some overgrowth in the fire pit and the other didn’t have a flat spot under a tree so I chose a spot in the field. Ended up being a good call because the morning sun was a welcome warmth with chilly mornings

Tent camping at Mike’s was amazing! Mike was extremely accommodating, and was very generous with everything on the farm. Staying in the barn was also great shelter from any rain, and the beds in the barn were both comfortable. The campsite was kept very clean, and communicating with Mike was easy and quick. Getting to say hi to the animals on the farm was an added bonus! Highly recommend both the tent campsite and barn stay.

A lovely stay
