We spent one night at the Meadow Cabin and loved it. The location was perfect with fantastic meadow views and room to run for the dog. The bed was comfy, and the hammock was a nice touch. The woodstove kept the inside nice and warm and we were very relaxed during our stay. Thanks again!

This was such a unique place to spend a few days! It was definitely winter camping, but the woodstove and cozy bed made it super comfy, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We explored the trails, hiked around the quarry, and came back to relax by the woodstove. I'd say it's a perfect getaway!

I had such a relaxing visit to the Studio at Star Ridge. Even though it rained through much of my visit, I was inspired to be surrounded by so much beauty. Mike and Mini are very welcoming hosts, and I had everything I needed for a lovely stay. I especially enjoyed watching the weather come in over the mountains. Sometimes the views were fantastic, and other times the mountains would disappear in a bank of fog. Mini provided coffee and breakfast in the morning, which was a very welcome and pleasant surprise. I highly recommend Star Ridge!

I loved this totally private retreat! The glamping tent was clean, comfortable, an beautifully decorated. The bed was delightful, and the separate cabin was great for relaxing. There's electricity in the cabin, plus a woodstove, couches and chairs for relaxing, and even a coffee maker. Mariah has thought of everything!

There are canoes and kayaks available for paddling on the private Wintergreen Lake. While visiting, I saw lots of ducks, a few beaver, kingfishers, and great blue herons. I'm sure the lake is fabulous for swimming, but it was a bit too chilly during my visit. If you are looking for comfort and privacy in the Adirondacks, this is definitely your place!

Heart's Desire is like the "Choose Your Own Adventure" of the camping world. There are 800 acres and you can choose to camp in the woods, in a pasture, or along the stream. There are spots that you can drive to or hike to, and your hosts will also help you cart your gear in their UTV.

Once set up, you can get busy exploring farm, field, and woods. There are old logging roads to hike on, streams to cool of in, and baby goats to and cows to pet. We chose a pasture site with a killer view of the surrounding valley. We had total privacy, although the cows were there to keep us company. This is a fun place to pitch a tent.

What a unique property Bob and Pam have created in their Sanctuary in the Woods! We were excited to stay here before we knew anything about the property, mainly because it is close to Ithaca, and were touring the state parks and waterfalls in the area. We were even more excited to explore the woodland trails, play around on the homemade playground equipment, and hang out in the tipi.

There's plenty of room to roam in these woods, plus a pond to swim in. Bob has built a swing in the trees and even a seesaw to help you feel like a kid again. There's a tipi for sleeping or hanging out, plus an open lean-to with a bed. We chose to set up our own tent and use the lean-to for storing our gear. We only wish we had brought our kids - this is a great camp for families!

We loved everything about this beautiful yurt. It is situated on a very quiet (and really cool) farm, but it is close to Ithaca, wineries, and some of the most awesome waterfalls we've ever seen. We enjoyed the company of the two farm dogs, ate mushrooms fresh from the cultivated woodland, and slept through a serious thunder storm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the coffee was the best we've had in a long time. Even though we only stayed a night, it's one we'll remember for a long time! This place is magical.

This secluded mountain-top retreat is a fun adventure for people who want to get away from it all. Although we had a good deal of rain during our whole trip, we still managed to hike many of the trails and build a drizzly little campfire.

Evan was happy to provide us with some spicy Italian sausage and fresh butter to go with out dinner, and he even offered to drive us up the mountain to our campsite (the walk is about a quarter to a half mile). There are three very private sites, plus a communal area with a table and chairs. We loved site #2, but ended up setting up near the communal area since we were the only ones visiting that night. We found hundreds of wild strawberries, dodged raindrops, and made music. Perfect night.

What a gem of a place! There is so much room to spread out here and the views are incredible. Taylor and Misha were fabulous hosts. We loved touring the farm, buying veggies and eggs for our camp dinner, and most of all, setting up camp in a field full of wildflowers.

Even though we had a good deal of rain, we enjoyed every bit of our experience at Free Verse Farm. Definitely recommend this place!
