Heart's Desire is like the "Choose Your Own Adventure" of the camping world. There are 800 acres and you can choose to camp in the woods, in a pasture, or along the stream. There are spots that you can drive to or hike to, and your hosts will also help you cart your gear in their UTV.
Once set up, you can get busy exploring farm, field, and woods. There are old logging roads to hike on, streams to cool of in, and baby goats to and cows to pet. We chose a pasture site with a killer view of the surrounding valley. We had total privacy, although the cows were there to keep us company. This is a fun place to pitch a tent.
This area is so beautiful and the owner is so helpful and welcoming. 10/10 will be visiting again. Brought my two dogs and they absoltuely loved all of the new smells. Private grounds and we loved the stream behind our site. Very convenient for the pups !
Hearts desire indeed
This was our first but certainly not our last Hipcamp experience. Cecelia was a most gracious and welcoming host. Stocked with a supply of wood and a portable fire pit, we camped at a private location over looking a beautiful pastoral vista only feet away from our SUV (highly recommend for the terrain) which was especially convenient given the spotty weather. Don’t miss the Finger Lakes wine tastings and the delicious local ice creams.
I loved this spot! I stayed on a hill with a beautiful view and felt total privacy (which is hard to come by in a site you can drive to). Where I stayed, you had to get in your car to use a bathroom, but that's because I chose a remote location among the host's many acres. And it was worth it! The view is mainly why I chose this listing and it lived up to my expectations. Cecilia was very nice and helpful as well.
