Site 3 - Glamp on a private, magical lake!
This was our second year staying at winter green lake! It is so relaxing. Spend your days hiking, kayaking on the lake, or strolling through town. Spend your evening watching a magical sunset over the mountains across the lake, cooking over a roaring fire, or snuggling in the wicked comfy bed. We had such a great weekend. we arrived as boyfriend and girlfriend and are leaving as an engaged couple. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful backdrop to a magical weekend.

A truly wonderful stay! The property is a dream and completely private. I would highly recommend staying here if you want the perfect mix of camping and glamping. The tent was beautifully styled and kept us warm at night. The cabin was great for cooking and hanging out in. (Cabin is a shared space with the other tent site but we had it to ourselves that weekend.) During the day we had fun on the kayaks. Book this place for your next getaway, you'll be in for a treat.

Glamp on a private, magical lake!
My boyfriend and I booked this spot for an anniversary get away weekend. Gorgeous place to camp! This was my first experience using Hipcamp and I am blown away. Mariah was a wonderful hostess. She sent us videos of the site as well as written directions about how to find our site since we would be arriving later in the night due to our jobs. We were on the smaller site but it was set right on our own little beach. The cabin was a short walk away. We paddled around on the lake in the kayaks provided and took in the beautiful autumn leaves. The tent was set up with all the comforts of home while still giving us the secluded camp feel.

Wonderful time at a special place
What a wonderful few days we had at Wintergreen Lake.! We stayed at site 3 and it was private, spacious and had such a beautiful view of the lake. Natalia was there to greet us upon our arrival and gave us a quick tour before we settled in. We explored the grounds and the “trails” around the property, canoed and kayaked and just relaxed and enjoyed the sound of the loons on the lake. Also did a great 7 mile hike to Pharoah Lake which was about a 20 minute drive away. Loved being off the grid, sitting by the fire, cooking and relaxing. We are already talking about going back. Mariah and Natalia were wonderful hosts. Highly recommend this very special place.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW. That's all my fiance and I could say after 4 soul-cleansing days at Mariah's gorgeous property at Wintergreene Lake. What a slice of magic they have on this hidden gem.
For starters, I don't think I've experienced that level of privacy since the womb. It is so quiet, with nothing but the loons and lake waters at night, you can perfectly hear yourself echo against the mountains if you talk above a speaking voice.
Secondly, the tents. Roomy, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable beds! We appreciated the extra wool blanket for chilly nights.
Third, the cabin! A screen porch that's perfect to enjoy thunderstorms, a mini-fridge for perishables, and a woodstove to keep you warm at night.
We kayaked and had front row seats to the year's most firey sunset, glittering bright orange and gold across the lake. We made fancy camp cocktails, cooked amazing dinners over charcoal, and played boardgames in the cabin on the day it rained. The lake and property is pristine, and no cell service meant 3 days free of social media and depressing news headlines (aka what we all need right now). We also got to hang out with Natalia & Jeff who were really sweet.
We truly cannot say enough amazing things about it. I just feel grateful they even choose to share it with us, and can't wait to go back next summer...and maybe very year after that!
TIPS:
-BYO coffee machine
-BYO charcoal & fire starter, some of the wood was so fresh it was hard to light anturally
-BYO string lights or lanterns for inside the canvas tent
-BYO extra blanket. We were provided one but I run cold, so I almost wish we'd brought another just to be extra snug

Relaxing retreat on the lake
Wintergreen Lake was a great getaway with amazing views tucked away in the Adirondacks! We enjoyed swimming and canoeing in the lake, hiking nearby trails and sitting by the campfire.

Few places like this-get out there!
So many amazing things about this place, and we had it all to ourselves! We had site 1 by the cabin (the other is a short wooded walk away, also on water). Lake is truly wonderful and quiet; we caught some small fish, heard loons at night, frogs, and slept great. We always get rained on when camping so we really appreciated the roof and shelter from the wind to wait out the storm. Toilet shelter also very nice. Fresh cold spring water and wildflowers everywhere were such a treat. We would love to come back, and maybe even see if can rent the whole place (former campground) out for an event! It’s also close to good hiking, I’d just suggest stocking up on food supplies before you get to there, but Hague has some bare necessities too.

Peaceful and serene
Such an amazing spot ! Love the privacy, the special touches and ofcourse the breathtaking scenery :)
We had some storms come through but didn't mind at all as we enjoyed watching it roll through while sitting on the screened porch in the cabin.
It was just what we needed and more !

A glamp to remember!
Lovely, remote site with delightful clean dry platform tents. Cabin (common area) is rustic, but it is really nice to have power, running water and a roof when you want it. Lake was nice for swimming and paddling, and our pup had a blast!

Fun Stay
Mariah and Natalia were very pleasant and welcoming. Our camp site was private and secluded with a great view of the water. The main cabin was a five minute walk away from our tent, and had the restroom, outlets, etc. We also had access to kayaks, which was definitely a big plus. There is no cell service anywhere on the grounds, so you have to drive into town to get a bar. There were also a ton of bugs (flies, bees, mosquitos) which is to be expected, so be prepared with extra bug spray! Overall, we definitely had a great time. Thank you for everything!

The land and the lake are beautiful and peaceful. We were moved to site 3 when we arrived which was farther from the bathroom but very secluded and so picturesque with a small private beach. There were thoughtful touches at the camp, including fresh picked flowers and s’mores supplies. This is a perfect intro to camping!

We stayed at Wintergreen Lake over the July 4th weekend with our two big dogs and it could not have been more idyllic!! Absolutely beautiful location, removed from everything but still close enough to pop into town for supplies. We stayed in Site 3 - dog friendly - right on the lake and absolutely beautiful! Our pups tromped around off-leash and were in heaven all weekend!. If there was one negative - and I hate to even say ANYTHING negative - it would be that we did have a bit of a black fly issue - mostly kept at bay with some Off though and part of camping. Mariah was SO lovely though and provided a peppermint essential oil spray for the tent - no bugs at all!! We will go back as soon as we’re able - just an absolutely dreamy hideaway!!!

Wilderness and peace
Such a wonderful and peaceful location. We loved our stay at Wintergreen Lake. Lake facing campsites are just the best and lake view is amazing. It's super close to town yet secluded enough to enjoy wilderness. It was perfect for our dog who loves to swim. Mariah is a great host and is always up to help out. We are planning to visit again :)

Labor Day Weekend 2019 ✅
What a wonderful experience we had! Thank you Moriah for meeting our expectations! The tent was immaculate, the decorations were adorable and the view was incredible every morning. We brought our yellow lab Gunner and I think he would give Wintergreen Lake a 10/10! We will certainly be back!

Mariah was a great host and provided us with everything we needed during our Labor Day stay. We had a great time on the lake and our tent was beautiful and spacious. I would definitely recommend glamping here to a friend!

We were moved to site 2 last minute. Still a very nice property but we were expecting the convenience of site 1 and size of site 1. Still a really nice and beautiful property. Site 2 was nice and private but it was a smaller tentrr site that was a little buggier as it is not a tarp bottom.

Everything was great. The yurt was super cozy & nicely decorated. The cabin was great for food prep & we cooked over campfire. Canoed & caught some nice perch and sunfish while fly fishing. Good times!

I cannot say enough about how beautiful this spot is. This is the first time that I can truthfully say that I slept great away from home. Camping with a queen sized bed in a tent - you can’t get any better than that. The kayaks, boats and swimming were great.

I loved this totally private retreat! The glamping tent was clean, comfortable, an beautifully decorated. The bed was delightful, and the separate cabin was great for relaxing. There's electricity in the cabin, plus a woodstove, couches and chairs for relaxing, and even a coffee maker. Mariah has thought of everything!
There are canoes and kayaks available for paddling on the private Wintergreen Lake. While visiting, I saw lots of ducks, a few beaver, kingfishers, and great blue herons. I'm sure the lake is fabulous for swimming, but it was a bit too chilly during my visit. If you are looking for comfort and privacy in the Adirondacks, this is definitely your place!
