Past trips
Bayside Cabin
in Bayside Cabin, CaliforniaThis was such a cozy and convenient stay! The outdoor kitchen was perfect, the shower was hot, and the interior was clean and cozy. Ted and Emily were incredible hosts and their pups were so sweet! Weād absolutely stay again!
Rose Hollow Camp
in Wooded tent camps with lake access, TennesseeThese wooded campsites are awesome! We loved our stay in the rose hollow campsite on this property. There are multiple campsites to pitch your tent along the ridge line with gorgeous views, or in the rose hollow site which is nearest to the parking area. There is an awesome little trail system for you to explore and you have easy access to the lake where you can take the kayaks out for a peaceful sunset paddle. Thereās a communal fire pit near the lake and individual fire pits at campsites. There are plenty of trees to set up your tent or hammock under. We camped at the beginning of November and loved the fall colors. Our campsite was a short hike from the parking area. There was a wheelbarrow in the parking area to help us get our supplies down in one trip. Our hosts also had a large container of drinking water for us to fill up with in the parking area. These sites are so quiet and peaceful. Youāre completely removed from neighbors and can even get a little taste of light backpacking here. You can also check out the nearby local hotspots as well. We loved this stay and would 1000% book again. Staying in off season was great and weād love to come back in the summer!
Site 5 - The Woods @ Murray Grove
in Camping at the Grove, New JerseyA perfect place to get away!
Perfect little place to get away! Great campsite to get away from the city. We camped here in early November and our campsite was pretty private. There are also communal areas if you prefer to gather. While this campground is ideal for medium and small groups, we had the whole place to ourselves in late Fall. There is firewood for sale on site and we're provided with everything we needed to start ours! The showers here are incredible! Private and very clean. At this camp you'll also have access to indoor toilets and sinks with hot water. Lynda was awesome and showed us around. Great place to camp, 10 out of 10 would stay again!
Lean-Tos on the Hill
in Holiday Hill, ConnecticutAmazing campsite!
We really enjoyed our stay at this campsite. In the summer it is a kids camp and they host other events, so there's tons of space here. We camped here in early November on chilly night but the shelter came stocked with plenty of firewood. Setting up camp in the shelter made for a cozy campsite. This campsite is on top a hill giving you a really beautiful sunrise view! 10 out of 10 would stay again!
The Tipi at Apothecary Gardens NY
in Apothecary Gardens NY, New YorkOne of my favorite spots!
This Hipcamp is awesome! We had complete privacy and there were so many amenities and thoughtful little touches. We camped here at the end of October after a ton of rain. We were able to stay cozy in the tipi with a fire and all of the comfy blankets that our host provided. We had access to plenty of firewood, starter, and all the materials we needed for our campfire. There was bottled water and towels provided for washing up and a list of local places to check out. The bed was mega comfortable and there were plenty of places to curl up or sprawl out. The table outside in the garden was perfect getting some work done while getting some fresh air and we loved watching all the deer that came through the site. The bathroom has a sawdust composting toilet and is located close to the tipi. It was super clean and also had thoughtful touches and necessities. It was so cool to stargaze through the top of the tipi while we were falling asleep. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this site!
Little Trickle Camp
in JT Cooper Properties, LLC, VirginiaWe loved our stay!
We visited right when the leaves were beginning to turn and stayed during an especially windy evening. Our campsite was super comfortable and provided us with a ton of amenities. There was a bin with camping supplies waiting for us at our picnic table that had the little details you would absolutely hate to forget like toilet paper, bug spray, and hand sanitizer. The fire pit at this site is awesome! Itās huge and we had wood in the ring waiting to be lit when we arrived. Thereās also a huge stack of wood at the site, so we had plenty to keep us warm. There are plenty of trees to hang your hammock on and thereās a nearby hike (2 miles RT) that we were given directions for (you can also drive if you prefer). Communication was a breeze and we were given gps coordinates that made finding our parking spot pretty easy. Itās well-marked and thereās room enough for two cars. Two chairs were provided at our site around the fire pit and there is a portable toilet at the top of the campsite. From your parking spot, youāll cross over a little bridge and find the site tucked under some gorgeous trees. We would absolutely stay here again!
Beech Grove River Spot
in Beech Grove River Spot, VirginiaGreat riverside campsite!
Beech Grove River Spot was an awesome campsite! We stayed on a day that ended up to be pretty stormy, but we were well-equipped for some wet weather. The leaves had just started to turn and we witnessed some beautiful fog from our campsite. The tent site we set up was right by the beautiful river that flows slowly along the property line, while it was too chilly during our stay, it would make an excellent place to cool off in the warmer months. Thereās a pump sink at the campsite making clean up super easy and a portable potty for you to use. The fire pit was excellent and we pulled up the hammock holder to stay cozy. We had complete privacy and could only hear the roosters from a neighboring farm at sunrise and sunset. Our stay was really peaceful. It feels like you have the entire pasture to yourself and in the fall, the colors are really something! We would definitely stay again!
Historic Log Cabin
in Historic Log Cabin, TennesseeThis cabin stay is one for the books!
This was such a cozy stay and Keith, the camp host was awesome! The historic cabin has plenty of room, a queen size bed, and plenty of amenities. There are plenty of electrical outlets and places to cozy up. The cabin also has a heater for chilly nights and a window AC unit for the warmer months. Thereās a mini fridge available and a Keurig and coffee pods. The bathroom is located in the main property cabin and is awesome! The shower is huge and the clawfoot tub is an original piece. Thereās plenty to do around the property that Keith has set up. We played horseshoes and tackled the slack line before using the propane grill outside of the cabin (thereās also a charcoal grill if you prefer). This site would be great for younger kids. Thereās a swing near the bonfire area and a sweet little hammock spot to relax. In the fall, youāll find plenty of black walnuts in the yard and may even get to see some of the wildlife that lives in the neighboring forest. This was such an excellent cabin and we would absolutely stay again!
Closed for repair
in HeartStone Campground, TennesseeBest private campground around!
Our stay at HeartStone Campground was awesome! The tent sites are nestled in the woods where youāll have plenty of space to set up camp, enjoy a campfire, and explore the woods surrounding the property. Dan and Mandy are great hosts who gave us a thorough rundown of all the amenities and things to check out while we stayed. We had plenty of privacy during our stay. Mandy was easy to communicate with whenever we had questions or needed anything. These campsites are perfect for hanging up your hammock and relaxing. There are a few wooded hikes for different levels of experience and creek that runs through the property. The out-palace was super clean, with motion sensor lights for night. The shower area was great for our solar shower! At night, there are some solar lights that will help you find your way in the dark, but arenāt bright enough to pollute your campsite at night. Our campsite had a designated space for fires and when we arrived, we had kindling waiting for us. This camp was created by folks that love the outdoors and want to provide a comfortable space for others to enjoy as well. This campground had zero cell service, but for me that's a plus! We would absolutely recommend this camp and will definitely be back!
Pasture site - Camper $30
in Patch of Heaven Hip Camp, MississippiPeaceful patch of paradise!
We had a great stay at Marks property. He was an excellent host and had a firewood bundle waiting at our campsite when we arrived. The gps coordinates are not very accurate, but Mark has detailed written directions to help you find where you need to go. Be sure to read those carefully. We camped here in mid October and experienced ideal camping temperatures, and a clear night optimal for stargazers. Be sure to hike the fence line and visit all of the friendly farm animals! Mark gave us a good lay of the land when we arrived and we had optimal privacy. 10/10 would stay here again!
