A group of 14 of us stayed 2 nights. We love this place and can’t wait to come back. Plenty of room. Huge fire ring. Creek is cold and refreshing! Beautiful countryside all around you. We heard coyotes calling at night. The full moon was AMAZING!! Thanks again and we’ll be back!

This site was private and quiet. It was really nice to be on the river with plenty of room for our dogs to run around. The Porta potty was clean and stocked.
The barking dogs weren’t as loud as I was worried they’d be based on reviews, but we did hear them at night. It was fun to hear the cows in the morning too :)

Location was great. Close to town, with direct access to the river. It felt secure and traffic was minimal. A bit of cleanup closer to the access to the river would be nice but I’m just picky. Site was great.

Simple and Quiet

A very nice quiet place to stay near Damascus. It was exactly as advertised. No hookups, just a peaceful place to camp and watch the fireflies and the stars. The creek didn't look appealing for swimming, but had massive carp, ducks, and geese. We also had deer in the field and owls at night. Others said they ride their bikes into town. Personally, I wasn't sure about the road and possible traffic, so we drove. But it was less than ten minutes away with places to eat, easy access to the creeper trail, and a convenience store with anything you need. We also drove to Grayson Highlands to hike. It was about an hour away, but definitely worth it.

Could not have asked for a better spot to pitch a tent! Literally right beside the river. Nice shade trees and big grassy field! Tons of privacy and quiet. Except for the tons of nature! Close to the Grayson Highlands, one of my favorite places! Definitely going back!

We loved our stay here. Frog siren at night, fireflies dancing in the field, little spot by the river. River is muddy enough where swimming may be out of the picture, but we saw huge carp! Really relaxing spot that has at least some shade at all hours of the day.

Cameron's land was great! For primitive camping it has great amenities like a picnic table and a clean porta potty. We also loved being by the river as well as the view of the mountains. Keep in mind that the property is surrounded on all sides by roads so taking a shower may need a curtain or something. Also there is some kinds of dog kennel or something up the mountain nearby so you hear a lot of dogs barking on and off. Overall we would def stay again because of its close proximity to Damascus and the fact you get the property to your self makes it an amazing find!

What a gorgeous place to spend a few days! Or even longer!! My family and I loved camping here. It is exactly how it’s described and looks in the pictures. Not to mention Cameron being very helpful and timely with his responses. And make sure you check out Damascus while you’re here. Such a cute town! We will with out a doubt back!!
