Cozy Hobbit House on Bainbridge
in Sunset Shire on Bainbridge, WashingtonRedwood Coast farm studio
in The Farm Studio, CaliforniaBeautiful space
Loved my stay in the farm studio. The more I looked around, the more I appreciated the design and layout of the space. I especially enjoyed what I will call the reading chairs - 2 cozy chairs with little foot stool ottomans and a lamp and little table between. The loft bed was spacious and cozy for me and my daughter. The kitchen had everything I needed. Location was great. Thank you!
Mossflower Cottage
in Mossflower Cottage, Washington360 degrees of beauty
My kids and I had an incredible stay at Mossflower Cottage. The beds were super cozy. Who doesn't love a fluffy duvet and flickering firelight space heater to fall asleep to? Mary Beth and Rick are kind and generous. The giant renovated barn is something to behold. We walked down to Cline Spit a few times (we renamed it crab beach for all the tiny crabs we found under rocks) and of course spent a day out on the Dungeness Spit. Also made a habit of going into town to pane d'amore for bread and other goodies. I highly recommend and hope to come back!
Windy Hollow Yellow Camping Cabin
in Windy Hollow Farm, CaliforniaAn oceanside treasure
Huge thanks to our hosts for creating and sharing this special place. Magical. Highly recommend!
Camp Treefeathers
in Camp Treefeathers, CaliforniaFun for multiple family groups
I visited Camp Treefeathers with my kids and several other families in our homeschool group. It was just what we all needed. Thousands of tadpoles, frogs croaking, a grassy field with games to play, swings and hammocks everywhere, picnic tables, adventure playground, rec room with foosball, giant fire pit, and plenty of flat spots to pitch tents. I appreciated the option of an indoor sink for washing dishes. Porta potties were in good shape and clean condition. Our hosts, Greg and Dewey, were incredibly welcoming and encouraged us to have fun and not worry about anything. My only regret is that I wish I had booked sooner so I could have gotten 3 nights like I wanted! Will definitely return.
1 GIUSEPPE
in Yosemite's Ferretti Farm, CaliforniaPleasant and convenient
My kids and I had a nice stay in site 1. I felt safe and cared for. Couldn't ask for a more convenient stop just outside Yosemite and a few blocks off the main road through Groveland. I appreciated the lovely outdoor kitchen and the opportunity to use the indoor toilet. I was happy to hear someone playing electric guitar in town as I settled in for bed. Didn't realize how much I have missed the sounds of people during this pandemic. We spent the next morning at nearby Mountain Sage Nursery and Cafe.

in Victoria Forest, CaliforniaCabin Near River Swimming
in Capay Valley Cache Creek, CaliforniaGreat for a solo stay
I had a lovely solo stay at the cabin. It was important for me to feel safe, and I definitely did. Loved the cozy bed, beautiful light in the cabin in the morning, opportunity to shower after my hike, little desk for writing, and great outdoor area. I looked at the flowers and listened to the bees in the morning, and looked at the stars and sat by the fire at night. Camilla was a great host. Given all the amenities I was more prepared than I needed to be, but that is far better than the converse.
A Tipi By The Sea On Farm
in Crystal Bay Farm by the Sea, CaliforniaHuge tipi, beautiful location
Crystal Bay Farm is in a great, beautiful location. The nearby private beach was really nice and you can walk for miles looking for shells and sand dollars. The tipi and enclosed private garden, picnic table, grill, and fire pit were well maintained and very nice. The tipi is huge! Much bigger than I expected looking at the pics. Can definitely sleep 8 comfortably. We stayed warm and dry inside the tipi. The ground moisture did not seep up through the ground cover. Though there is a fire pit in the tipi I don't recommend using it if with young kids or if you have any issues with your lungs. It filled the tipi with smoke, as you might expect. Once the fire was out the smoke cleared quickly, so it has good ventilation, just not good enough to clear the smoke from an active fire.
Basically everything about this site was great, but my expectations were off from reality. I was looking for interactive experiences with animals, and that isn't so much what this farm is about, though they do have animals on site.
Given the expense, I recommend this site for those camping with a group of 4-8 who are excited to sleep in a tipi, be near the ocean, and possibly pick some strawberries or pumpkins when in season.
