Windy Hollow Farm is an off-the-grid farmstead located on the Mendocino Coast in California. We are 3 generations of family tending 20 acres of coastal prairie. Bryce, Ben, and Jennifer will all be around as your hosts. Through much trial and error we have been shaping this piece of land into a place to raise children, cultivate organic food and flower gardens, and host guests. Staying on the farm for a weekend, or a week, offers a glimpse into farmstead living. We have two small hand-built sleeping cabins available for guests. The cabins are cozy and rustic with woodstoves, composting toilets, and shared outdoor shower. A separate kitchen cabin is available for cooking simple meals. Visitors have access to the gardens, greenhouse and trails.

Windy Hollow Farm Camping Cabins
Phenomenal weekend!
We loved our stay at the Windy Hollow Farm cabins! The cabins are comfortable and private. The kitchen cabin has everything you need. The land is beautiful, as is the town, Point Arena. I didn’t have service the whole weekend (and I liked it).

Windy Hollow Yellow Camping Cabin
Windy Hollow- a beautiful sanctuary
This was our second stay (4 nights) in Jen & Ben’s Yellow Cabin and it never disappoints. We disconnected totally and the cabin is clean, cozy, and stocked with firewood and you will want a fire cause it’s soo cozy! We saw tree frogs, hawks, owls, foxes, deer, and sea lions at the oldest lighthouse on the W. Coast (take the tour!!), and Jen let me cut a bunch of lavender from her extensive garden. We had everything we needed but keep in mind the grocery stores close early and have cash to shop the road side farm stands too. The Saturday farmers market in Gualala (and the Markets Bbq Saturday’s) are worth the trip. Four days wasn’t enough time- we will definitely be back! Thank you to Logan for running sugar to us last minute!

Windy Hollow Yellow Camping Cabin
Beautiful and lovely little cabin
My wife and I had a great time in this beautiful and lovely little cabin. The location is actually very convenient, meanwhile, it is surrounded by amazing natural landscapes. It's indeed very dark at night. If the moon doesn't come out, you won't be able to see your fingers at midnight.

Wonderful stay
The cabin at the farm was an amazing experience. Everything was very clean and organized. The kitchen cabin had everything we needed. The sleeping loft was perfect for my 8 and 4 year old. Everyone in the family really enjoyed it. We hope to be back!

Windy Hollow Yellow Camping Cabin
I had a lovely time at Jennifer’s farmstead! Their dog Jack is the kindest soul and Jennifer was extremely responsive and thoughtful as a host. I’d strongly recommend the spot to anyone who wants to escape the noise and experience some peace and quiet.

Windy Hollow Yellow Camping Cabin
We had a great stay in Yellow Cabin. Quiet, starry nights, with only frogs in the nearby pond breaking the silence. The cabin was clean and well organized. My kids liked all those games. There wasn't much problem with ticks. But we didn't bushwack through the forest. The kitchen hut was right nearby. To note - it has all the tools, but guests need to bring the oil, spices, and food.
