We had a nice stay in Camilla's little cabin. We stayed in the middle of July, which is not recommended since temperatures were in the 100s! But the cabin had wonderful A/C so we stayed indoors during the day, and then enjoyed the evening outside with our dogs. We enjoyed the large yard, but there were a lot of foxtails, weeds, and it was not fenced so we couldn't let our dogs roam around freely. It still made for a nice, short getaway.

We stayed in this cute little cabin for the weekend and found it just the right size for us. There was a little bathroom, with a shower and sink, and plenty of towels. The bed and pillows were super super comfy and nice soft sheets. She had cups and a coffee pot for us (shame we didn't think to bring coffee!), but no fridge available and no fire allowed for cooking. Camilla also had plenty of fans going and a portable AC unit, so we could stay cool (it was over 100 degrees outside). One thing I wasn't super excited about was the number of spiders lurking about (mostly daddy long legs, so I wasn't TOO scared). There were quite a lot of spiders, but I guess that's to be expected when you're surrounded by farm land! Also the water from the sink and shower smelled pretty strongly of sulfur, so we didn't drink it. We brought our own drinking water, luckily. The cabin is located super close to the river and a little swimming hole; Camilla provided very specific (and very cute) instructions to help us get there and we LOVED it. It was less than two miles away. The nearest town (Guinda) was only about 10 minutes away and had the best BBQ we've ever had - it's called the Commons Farm Kitchen Bar and they were offering outdoor seating with cornhole and plenty of beers and desserts. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend eating here.

The cabin was so cute! The bed was super comfy! The property was quiet and the other campers were chill and respectful. It was 105 for the two days I stayed and even with the AC it was somewhat uncomfortable. The river, while close, is not actually accessible. It was fast running, murky and no real place to enter for an actual swim, more like to dip. I was alone so i didn't risk going in other than dipping my feet, because i did not have a pfd. Most of the banks were waist high and as I said, the water was murky so i couldnt see how deep it was. I had really wanted to swim so was sadly disappointed. Def something to keep in mind if swimming is what you are after. Other folks brought rafts etc. I made the best of my stay, accepting what the universe brought me. As a result of the heat I couldn't even hike. I would recommend going on days when the temp is more moderate so you have more options of things to do. The cabin was closer to other sites, than i expected, and the guests were quiet so again i made the best of it.

We had a wonderful stay. There is a nearby swimming area at the Creek which was just lovely. We're so glad Camilla recommended it to us. Our puppy had a wonderful time as well. There is no kitchen at the cabin so bring snacks. I saw that another reviewer noted this before so we came prepared with food. There is a local town store a drive away. We made it to the store before it closed at 6pm to buy some marshmallows that we had forgotten to bring. I think these are temporary operating hours for that store. All in all, we would go back and recommend!

Awesome place! Host is very welcoming ! Very cute. Everything was clean. Covid 19 distance respected. The only negative thing : we were on the campsite closed to the road, I could barely sleep because of the trucks and cars. My husband had no problem with this. So if you have a light sleep, ask for another campsite !

Camilla is wonderful. She is kind and gives you awesome spots to hike and swim. The campsite we stayed in was close to the road and isn't secluded. The spot is awesome if you plan to hike and do outdoor activities near by. The toilet is clean and tidy. Recommend this place for sure. Also, we drove from San Francisco. The two hour road trip was breathtaking. The area of the camp is also gorgeous.

Camila was a terrific host. I came here with my girlfriend to do an intro to camping trip and it was exactly that. You stay on a small plot of land, can set up camp and rent, yet you still have access to a garden shower and utility bathroom.
I 100% recommend the breakfast, it was a big time highlight.

Camilla's place is a sanctuary! The tent site was well shaded and private. She provides you with a picnic table and a firepit and a hose to make sure all is contained. Her gardens are impressive. I want to come back in early spring and see all the irises in bloom!!
I cant say enough about the delicious farm to table breakfasts she prepared. We had a different menu everyday. My favorite was a savory brown rice, quinoa and chia creation with walnuts and calendula. It was VERY tasty!!
The river is wonderful. We especially loved going to the historic Rumsey bridge built in 1949 and watching the swallows dive and dip.
This was my first hip camp experience and it was simply sensational!!

We brought our 3 year old and Camilla's property was a great fit! There was tons of space for him to run around amongst the gardens and he loved checking out the fish and the new litter of kittens. The swim spot just a short drive away that Camilla recommended was also a great fit for him with a safe spot to wade and play in the sand.

Definitely a good glamping spot. The property is quiet and star gazing at night outside was great. Some bugs were keeping us company but that’s already expected when you’re camping! There was a great swimming hole that Camilla told us about that was about a mile away. The property is right off the road so there are cars passing but there wasn’t many of them at all. Closest general store is about 5 miles away. This is a great spot to get away from the city. Would recommend it. Thanks, Camilla!

Camilla has a beautiful property. I stayed at campsite #1 it was perfect for 4 ppl. Plenty of room for 3 tents. There was a fire pit with wooden chairs and a picnic table. We cooked dinner over the fire. The site had a few really nice amenities but still felt like we were camping and out in nature. I can’t wait to go back ! Also we found 2 really great swimming holes close by on cache creek.

Lovely cabin, was closer to the house than I expected..it is a stones throw away but still had a bit of privacy, just not as much as I expected. Just a note: definitely need to bring all your own cooking utensils and camp cookware. There's a faucet and coffee maker and that is it.

This was a great stay! Her property is cute, the porch with the rocking chairs was really relaxing. The stars at night were incredible. And her directions to the swimming hole near her house were super easy. We went fishing at the river and caught some pike. Would definitely go back again!!

Really great site.. beautiful area, good amenities, lovely host :) I would definitely come back, and plan to! The swimming spots are classic and the BBQ spot down the road in Guinda is Five Star.
