    Welcome to Purdon Groves, where tranquility meets Texas charm! Our glamping site offers a one-of-a-kind nature escape in 20 acres of picturesque farmland. Unwind in one of our three luxury glamping tents. * Memory foam mattresses and hotel-style bedding * AC and heat * Fridge, electric kettle, french press * Covered deck, fire pit, and firewood provided * Pet-friendly! * Hot showers and clean restroom facilities * Quiet, retreat setting * Farm tours available for a fee Feel free to explore the entirety of the grounds, with the exception of the space surrounding our storage container, inside the garden and animal enclosures. We would be delighted to accompany you on a guided tour of the hydroponic garden and introduce you to our animals. However, we kindly request that you refrain from entering those areas without a guide. Please feel free to purchase the following add-ons if you are interested! There is an additional guest fee of $5 per person a night after four guests. After four people we cannot provide additional beds and guests would have to come with their own sleeping materials. The tent can fit up to six people maximum.

    My partner and I recently decided to take a break from our usual routine and booked a three-night stay at Purdon Grove, where we stayed in the sage tent. As an experienced camper, I usually bring all my gear, but this was my first time glamping, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities provided by our hosts, Sherry and Houston. The tent was well-equipped with a small icebox that had a freezer, electricity both inside and outside, and even wine glasses and roses available for purchase. Additionally, the bathhouse was fantastic, featuring an outdoor shower and a private indoor one with hot water, and a flushing toilet. Their tents were cozy. It was a great experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! Although it rained for the three days we were there, the land is gorgeous! We arrived late in the night. So waking up to see what we couldn’t see that night was a delight! We were greeted by Darcy and Samson, their fluffy white Pyrenees dogs. They became our guardians for our stay and protected the livestock. The donkeys are super friendly and will greet you as well. We were 15 minutes away from Walmart. last, but not least! Sherry and Houston are the hostesses who was absolutely fantastic! They were attentive and responded quickly! I love their spirit and will definitely go back for another experience!

    Wonderful Woman’s Retreat

    We had such a great girls retreat at Purdon Groves. The tent and all the amenities were everything we needed. We spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. We loved meeting the donkeys, sheep, and pigs. We brought them some treats (apples and carrots) and they loved it! Sherry and Houston were amazing hosts! We will definitely stay here again. You guys have an amazing thing going out there! Keep up the hard work!

    Our second time at Purdon Grove! It is a beautiful spot and we would go every weekend if we could! Fabulous farm tour and great place to take kids!

    We loved our experience at SageBrush! Sherry and her husband Houston were very accommodating. We got to walk around the property and see all the animals which they were all friendly. Samson, their dog was super friendly and came and hung out with my wife and I cuddling near the fire and asking for belly rubs…of course he also smelled the steaks I was cooking 😄. We had such a great time and would recommend it to anyone that is trying to get away from the city and noise pollution and just relax. We are already trying to plan another trip out and bring our kids this time. Thank you to Sherry and her husband Houston they were great with everything and super helpful.

    Had a great time from start to finish. Sherry and Houston provided all the information needed upfront, including weather related updates. I had fun talking to them, hearing their story and their future plans for the property. Throughout the trip, they answered any questions I had right away. The tent was comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The site had everything listed on the page. The animals were all very friendly and fun to be around. The donkey & goat gang was my fav and of course the dogs. I will definitely be back!

    We took our grandkids to Purdon Groves and it was a great experience. It’s quiet, peaceful, and fun to have the animals around. It was HOT when we went, so the AC and fans in the tent were welcomed and effective! We loved the farm tour as well. I can see the vision they have for their property, coming to fruition in the best way. Go. You’ll enjoy it.

    We had such a fun time glamping. The safari tent was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The surroundings were very peaceful. Getting to spend some time seeing the animals were such a treat. ❤ Sampson. I would recommend!!

    I LOVED this place, over all was over my expectation, Mrs. Sherry and her husband are really nice , I really want to thank Mr. To help me and my kids to start the firepit, we was having problems with that, I’m not an outdoor person , but he help us a lot. This place is quite, peaceful , it has all necessary to have a great weekend, I definitely will come back. I want to see the garden. Please say Hi to Samsun and the donkies we love them❤️❤️

    We had a wonderful stay in the Bell tent at Purdon Groves. The tent was the perfect size with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable camp out. The animals on the farm were so precious, we never wanted to leave!

    Such a great experience for our family. Our second stay with them was even better than the first. My kids loved helping feed the animals and exploring the land. The bell tent was super comfortable even when it got down to 20 degrees on night two. Best hosts I’ve ever met in all my years camping!

    It was a good experience because we got to see the baby pigs! It was a cozy place to sleep at. I loved how we got to see the donkey walking around freely. The owner was very friendly and kind. I loved how quiet it was. I would definitely go there again! 100% recommend!!!

    We spent two nights glamping at Purdon Groves and had a wonderful time! Our tent came with everything we needed for a comfortable stay (including optional add-ons), and we enjoyed every minute of our peaceful, relaxing weekend. Sherry and Houston are so warm and welcoming, and they provided an excellent tour of the farm - highly recommend! You can tell they love what they do and really want their guests to have a positive experience. One of our favorite parts was their dog, Samson, who greeted us as soon as we pulled in at night and walked us to our tent. We felt so safe knowing he was always on the property, checking in on us and the other animals regularly. It's incredible seeing how much work they've put in to build this place. We definitely plan to return in the future and can't wait to see how much more it develops!

    Purdon Groves was an excellent stay. Beds were comfy, loved having the solo fire pits. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved the garden items you could purchase for your stay. An hour away from the magnolia Silos in Waco. Loved playing with their dog Sam and their mules. Unique stay and would recommend it to anyone. Can’t wait to come again.

    Writing this review almost feels like a disservice due to the fact there are no words to accurately describe how amazing this little pocket of tranquility really is. Simply put... The experience is phenomenal and I would 100% reccomend this to anyone- as a solo trip or as a family/group of friends. Truly unforgettable.     This was the perfect little getaway. So private but with so much space to spread out. The hosts Houston and Sherry were so kind to us, and the big dog Samson kept us company. Saw our first donkey dust bath. Will definitely be coming back.

    What a wonderful getaway! Sherry & Houston are very kind hosts. They were responsive and attentive to our needs. The tent is very spacious and pleasant. The bed was quite comfortable, the heater provided a great night of sleep for a winter night, everything was clean and well thought of. The property is beautiful and fun. We hope to make it a family tradition - camping at Purdon Groves!

    Purdon Groves was PHENOMENAL. I have an English Mastiff and I spent weeks trying to find a place that would allow us to bring him. Not only was Sherry happy about having him, but my dog had such a blast with her Great Pyrenees, Samson. The tent was so dreamy and beautiful. Sherry also sent us a big list of dog friendly places that we could go in town. I'm so grateful for this spot!! We'll definitely be back.

    This was the coolest spot! We loved all the glamp-y amenities (fridge, heat, etc.) as we were passing through in the winter and didn’t have all of our camping gear. Sherry was super responsive and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The stars here were INCREDIBLE and we cooked dinner over the fire. In the morning we walked around the property to say hey to the donkeys and pigs and took in the peaceful scenery. Truly lovely— wish we could have stayed longer!
