From July to October, guests may enjoy cherries, raspberries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, and apples—depending on weather and timing. Just ask before picking, as not all fruit may be ripe or reachable.

Our property is 4 miles from BLM, 5 miles from the Mammoth caves and 10 miles from the Ice Caves. You may be greeted by horses, cattle or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will encounter snakes 🐍 and hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). We do not have designated areas but, please don’t block the turn around area to the far south, please park wherever you desire, walk your route as this virgin ground has many rocks. 🪨 If leveling is an issue & you need to block the road, let’s verify we have no other campers coming.
There is a runoff river that runs through the property in the early spring but, rarely has water, however, it has amazing lava rock (similar to Black Magic Canyon which isn’t far away); We also like to use it for campfires! Do not drive into the river bottom unless you have 4WD.

There is excellent outdoor recreation any season of the year. The great Snake River canyon is 2 miles away with nearby Nationally Recognized Shoshone Falls, the Niagra of the West, with a drop of nearly 500 feet.We truly live in an amazing part of the world! Nearly every day of the year you can watch the BASE jumpers from the Perrine bridge, one of the only legal places in the country. You name it, you can do it here. We're only a few hours from Yellowstone National Park and historic Sun Valley is 90 mins north or the famous City of Rocks rock climbing area can be found south of here.About 45 minutes to an hour north of here is Craters of the Moon National Monument for some excellent caving hiking and exploring.We use this area for storing vehicles or riding toys so please be respectful of our homes and the neighbors.

Just a mile up the road are the fish ponds, a great place to explore and get the catch of the day or head down to the Snake River for more water related opportunities. There is excellent outdoor recreation any season of the year. The great Snake River canyon is 2 miles away with nearby Nationally Recognized Shoshone Falls, the Niagra of the West, with a drop of nearly 500 feet.We truly live in an amazing part of the world! Nearly every day of the year you can watch the BASE jumpers from the Perrine bridge, one of the only legal places in the country. You name it, you can do it here. This is a lovely, clean, modern yurt in the country. We really enjoyed staying here one night on our road trip. The dogs in the area were barking throughout the night, so we did have to use the earplugs provided (thank you!). I will probably use a noise machine next time. Other than that, this place is fabulous and the hosts are very thoughtful and kind.

Really enjoyed our stay at Marni’s site! It had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stop - potable water, a nice campfire area, and a safe, quiet spot before heading down to Lake Tahoe. The two pygmy goats were adorable, and Tonks the kitty totally stole the show - she’s so friendly and social, and made the whole experience extra fun (and hilarious). Marni was an awesome host - super chill, welcoming, and attentive. Would definitely stay again!

We made a late reservation through Hipcamp. I messaged Arte and Alexandra and they were quick to respond. They answered all my many questions promptly. We tent camped in their driveway while 2 other rv campers were close by on the same property. The farming next to the property was very loud the next morning…early. I had no problem with the owners or property. I felt safe and comfortable. They have a small orchard on the property with the best green apples!!
I would camp there again.

Okay, so you remember the Oregon Trail, right? Of course you do—it’s only the best computer game, well, ever. Why is this relevant? Well, you can basically live the Oregon Trail at Three Island Crossing State Park. The park has the Oregon Trail History and Education Center, where you can get your learn on, and it’s also home to one of the most famous river crossings along the trail, the Snake River. A self-guided tour will take you to some original wagon ruts, among other pieces of history. This fascinating park is becoming more and more popular each year, so camping reservations might come in handy. Now, if you can just manage to secure some oxen and a covered wagon to ford the river, then we’ll have proof that childhood dreams really do come true.

Beautiful spot for sure! But don’t expect to get much sleep. Busy campground and way too close to the train tracks. Trains are blowing their horns all night long. Impossible to sleep through.

Grass, mature trees, history, lots of space, trail to the winery, and More. This place is a nice stopover but very busy spring summer weekends with full occupancy. Should be room mid week but weekends will be reserved ahead. Plan ahead or plan for midweek in the spring and summer. Stopped here late winter/early-early spring recently and there was lots of room:-). Area was completely full last Saturday 4/22.
