From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.

Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Where we've embraced the retro vibe of the 1980s with our decor! You'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you take in the vibrant colors, bold patterns, and geometric shapes that are synonymous with this iconic era. Bring back the nostalgia with popular games on the Pac-Man arcade machine. Enjoy a game of pool and darts, or simply hang out and gather with friends and family in our entertainment/game room. The cabin has three cozy bedrooms, each with comfortable bedding to ensure a good night's sleep. There are two full bathrooms, one is located next to the master's bedroom adjacent to an extra sleeping area in the loft. Just some of our many amenities worth noting: - Smart TV's. Paramount+, Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN. TV has Roku so you can access your own preferred account for streaming. - Every room has a mini split air conditioning and heating. - Gas fireplace -The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary items you need to make a meal. We also have a coffee station. - fire pit with plenty of chairs to sit around. - Propane grill and outdoor dining table on our back deck. - Included are 2 single kayaks, 1 canoe, and 2 row boats for you to use if you want some water fun. -We provide adult/child life vests. Guest access Guests will be able to use the whole home and lake access in the backyard. There is ample parking in the driveway. You will be receiving a door code the day before your travel. It is a unique code that will only activate at the time of check-in. *For lake fishing: You need a fishing license to fish in any lake in PA. Security and Game Commission does show up so make sure you are in compliance. To ACCESS our lakefront cabin, a tenant registration form and waiver are needed prior to your arrival. By booking our home, you agree to comply with this requirement. The host will have the right to cancel your booking within 24 from the travel date if this requirement is not fulfilled with NO refunds. Other things to note Please read " HOUSE RULES" before booking. IMPORTANT INFO * Host will require a liability waiver after booking. Our HOA requires a tenant registration form filled out and submitted a week prior to arrival ( for last-minute bookings, you will need to submit this form and return it back to me as soon as I send it with your confirmation). *We don’t offer refunds for weather, park closures, changes in travel itinerary, or mismanaged expectations. There shall be no refunds of rent for shortened stays due to family emergencies or change of # of guests attending. Power outages and the internet provider being down are beyond our control and no refund policy will apply. Read our description on our listing, and inquire from your hosts regarding the property if you have certain expectations that we may/ or may not meet. Please make sure to check our cancellation policy prior to booking, and avail of your own travel insurance or through Airbnb insurance most especially if you opted for a nonrefundable booking promotion. We have public city water, with a water filtration system on our fridge. You may bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking if you like. We also have a queen sofa pull-out bed in the game room and a futon in the loft area for extra sleeping. All linens for bedrooms and extra sleeping are provided. Our home is fully equipped with/ stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/silverware, a Keurig and drip coffee maker, a toaster oven, and a blender. Firewood is NOT included. Bring your own firewood for the fire pit.

2 nights at Dark Sky Retreat

We stayed at Dark Sky retreat for a few nights and even in January after a giant snow storm it was so lovely and cozy! The woodstove and heater keep the home nice and toasty. Kevin and Amy are very communicative hosts if you any questions at all they respond quickly. The hot tub is awesome even in the below freezing temperatures and there was not a single thing we needed or forgot to bring that the house didn’t have prepared for us! The kitchen is very well stocked with supplies and everything was very clean. The stars are very visible even with not totally clear sky’s. very close to Elk Mountain which is great for beginner skiers. 10/10 recommend staying here

This was my second time staying at "The Woodzzy". I booked for my birthday over the weekend and it was a much needed getaway for me, my fiance and our dog. We all love the coziness of the cabin. It makes being lazy real easy. Not having phone service was amazing and a get way to disconnect. Thank to Russ for being helpful and accommodating. It also was a pleasure talking to him. I highly recommend this cabin and best believe I will be booking again!

The Wood-see is a lovely rustic cabin! We stayed for 4 nights over New Year’s when it was very cold and Russ kept us supplied with wood. We brought paper and a hatchet for kindling, which were both needed. Hope to make it back to stay again!

The Cabin with No Name exceeded every expectation we had. The awesome book selection, incredibly comfortable bed, the amazing shower, the vast land of trails behind it all paired with quirky/cozy decor are only a few of the warm takeways from this experience. Kat swiftly responded to us and answered all our questions promptly. We enjoyed it here so much we decided to extend our trip in the middle of it. Weekend Trip to Pocono Cabin With No Name

We loved our stay at Kat’s land in her cozy and quaint cottage. It has the perfect layout for sleeping, relaxing by the fireplace, making food (and roasting smores!) We couldn’t have picked a more perfect time to visit - the fall colors were on full display. I selected to have fresh eggs and two bundles of firewood which was very convenient. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of fresh towels and blankets for all. We loved how stocked the bookcase was with books and games for all ages! The best part of the cabin was getting to hike down to the small creek and trails. It was just perfect and the whole house is quite convenient to town. We enjoyed our stay!

1 night at Dude, Girl! Ranch.

We had a perfect fall Sunday followed by a rainy Monday that somehow made the cabin even better. Warm, quiet, and easy to settle into. Jennifer was kind and responsive, and everything felt thoughtful without trying too hard. We found and brought an old CD player, a crate of our old scratched mix CDs, and ended up listening by the fire, laughing at what used to be our favorite songs and what stuck. Turns out, that’s about as good as it gets. Highly recommend bringing a few of your own instant time machine.

Great place to stay! Russ is a kind and patient guy I got to the campsite really late and still he met me there and showed me where I was gonna be staying and I really appreciated that! Lots of hiking and scenery, great patio on the back of the cabin, comes with a fridge and microwave for any food you bring. There is no insulation so whatever the temperature it is outside it will also be inside, except in the summer there is a window unit, and it’s a tin roof so rain is extra loud on the roof. Other than these things I would recommend anyone stay here for a weekend of solitude or a family getaway!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake

This was our second visit to the cabin, the first being in 2020. It is peaceful and cozy and our weekend was so relaxing. There is all sorts of wildlife in the area. We saw deer, bald eagles, turkey and chipmunks! A great weekend overall!
