Wiseman Ridge is a boutique micro campground for RVs only, first opened in July of 2022. Our property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville Falls NC with easy access off NC 221. We offer 5 full hook up RV sites with views of Hawksbill, Table Rock and Humpback Mountains. Micro means we have only a handful of sites but that is where micro ends. Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. Unlike typical RV parks our sites are spread out on the ridge top and offer great views and lots of space.
Our campground offers a unique camping experience for the RV and outdoors enthusiast. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits.
Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. We are just a mile down the parkway from the entrance to the Linville Falls parking lot and picnic area, and 2 miles from Kistler Memorial Highway (Old NC 105) that provides access to the western rim of Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads.
Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. We do not have bathroom or bathhouse facilities so we cannot allow campers that do not have a self contained bathroom that can hook up to a conventional RV sewer drain and no human waste is allowed in our trash receptacles.

10/9/2024 NOTICE: We had some damage to our road due to Hurricane Helene that made it impassable. It has since been repaired and is opened to traffic. There are still some remaining rough areas, but the road is easily passable by passenger vehicles and RV's up to 28ft.
Our site was once part of a much larger farm growing tobacco and raising
cattle and other farm animals.
The existing tobacco barn was built in the early 1960's.
The concrete pad used for RV camping was used to store silage for the cows.
The non-potable water source is a mountain spring that has been used on the farm since the 1930's.
While many tobacco barns in the area have been
torn down for their rusted tin roofing and rustic siding, we have worked to
restore the barn and preserve its history.

Quiet area of Valle Crucis. It is just 2 miles from the original Mast General Store. Larger units must back in carefully between the guard rail and the ditch. The lot had some damage from Helene.
This is a parking lot of an old church and sits by two small creeks.
Maximum stays are up to 6 nights. No water, no septic. No generators are allowed.
Large concrete pad/parking lot for RV and an extra car or two. This is a campsite only, an RV is not included. We have electricity but no water or septic. In the spring, summer, and fall - We have a toilet and hand-washing sink inside the building that you may use if you select this as an "add-on". A code to enter the building will be sent if you add this feature. This site does not have potable water and does not have a shower. The closest public bathrooms are at Valle Crucis Community Park. Mountain Dog Coffee and Holloway Corner Kitchen are private, but good places to start your day with coffee and/or food.
Please respect our neighbors by limiting noise. This lot is private, but you may see or hear the neighbors.
Dogs must always be on a leash when outside your RV or car.
There are no garbage cans or trash pick-up; pack it out, please. The trash/convenience center is about 2 miles away on 194 for you to take your garbage.
We DO NOT advise taking Clarks Creek Rd. from 105 to get to this location. You must travel to Clarks Creek through Valle Crucis via 194. You must also detach any trailer or towed items a mile or so before the camp spot and before the switchbacks. Please view the map and be comfortable with travel to our campsite. There are sections of the road with no shoulder and pit holes due to current construction/road work.
There is very limited cellular service in this area. WiFi & WiFi calling should work fine.

Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy.
While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night!
Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables.
Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October.
The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County.
The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc.
Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge.
Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands!
We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival.

Welcome to Peak A View Farm & Camp where Rest and Relaxation are a Reality! Come enjoy the beautiful landscape of the western mountains in Ashe County, NC on ninety acres of farmland and forest surrounded by mountain peaks, the New River and breathtaking sunsets. On the drive in, to the southeast you can see Peak Mountain for which the property was named. The mountain is part of the New River State Park and is known for its scenic river views and hiking trails.
Two RV buddy campsites are available on the property. Campsite #1 was originally created for our personal use. Campsite #2, so our fellow camping buddies could join us. Although a short drive from our homes, the serenity of the property always makes us feel as if we’ve travelled many miles. Campsites are laid out in an ‘L’ shape which creates the perfect group camping experience. Guests can choose to camp alone or invite others. Campsite 1 and 2 are reserved together as one booking due to the close proximity of the sites.
The property is secluded, but easily accessible. Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bin is nearby, which is a great asset in any weather. A fire pit and chairs are a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available.
The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance!
During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park.
A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. Visit the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce online or downtown for information on our county’s many attractions and events.

About the sites:
There is a large parking area right off main road for easy access. Those with vans and RVs can set up right on the gravel parking area (also an option to tent camp right beside the parking area and enjoy the open sky and long range views. Campers who are willing to walk up a somewhat steep him can tent camp in the beautiful hilltop tent camping site which is located in a grove of pine trees.
This is a new Hip Camp listing and sites are privative for now. Enjoy unplugging as you camp because there is No Cell Phone reception here. There is WIFI at the neighborhood restaurant, Hellbender's Café just 4 minutes away (typically open from 11-5pm) during the warmer months. While there is no electricity (or hookups for RVs), there are very few street lights in the area which makes for amazing stargazing. The only source of water is from a temperate stream that runs along the back side of the property for those campers who are comfortable boiling or treating their water.
The property is 5.3 acres total, part of it is open former pasture land and over 1/2 of the property is forest. There is a wooden hill top area that is great for tent campers. The back side of the property is steep in some places, but it can be fun for those who want to hike and explore the mountainside.

Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

Blue Ridge Ranch, established in December of 2020, is located on 440 acres nestled between two mountain ridges in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The property features an established pasture, mountain ridges, barns, and a homestead. In addition, the ranch is home to five ponds (some stocked and one trophy), more than a mile of trout streams, waterfalls, and hiking trails. Together, they provide the perfect foundation for the establishment of farming, livestock, camping, and community events. All profits of Blue Ridge Ranch go to Hope for His Children, Inc., a 501(c)(3) that conducts youth camps at the ranch. Tours of the ranch are available for $10/person and includes interaction with some farm animals. We pride ourselves in doing everything possible to help our guests have a great experience. We offer coffee during morning hours in our farm store!
We are sorry, but we are not able to allow guests to bring ATV's and motorcycles to operate on the property. There are many acres of hay that we must protect and our agritourism insurer does not allow guests to operate ATV's and motorcycles on property.

The majority of our 440 acres is timber with established trails, but we are also a working farm and we have five ponds and a trout stream throughout the property. We offer tours to guests for $10 per person and we love to introduce you to our farm animals. We provide coffee in our camp store mornings and we offer a community bonfire on Saturday evenings. It's important to us to make sure our guests have the best experience possible!

From the second we turned onto the long driveway entrance to Peak a View, we knew our stay would far and away exceed our expectations. We were greeted by Steve & Penny who gave us a brief description of the land along with helpful local information. They could not have been nicer.
The site offers multiple level options for your RV, all with views of the mountains, woods, and open meadows (frequently visited by local wildlife). The electric, water & sewer hookups were effortless.
The fire pit and large covered patio was perfect. The wide open skies offer amazing star gazing.
We knew that the hipcamp offered access to a river, little did we know how absolutely amazing this private section of the South Fork of the New River would be. The peace, beauty and tranquility along with the calming sounds of the water will never be forgotten.
We can’t thank Steve & Penny enough for sharing their amazing land in the North Carolina mountains.
We can't wait to go back!

We had a great stay at Blue Ridge Ranch and would definitely come back. The overland camping spot was peaceful, well kept, and a perfect base to relax and enjoy the area. One of the highlights for us was the farm animal tour — such a fun and unique experience. Troy was an excellent host: welcoming, friendly, and clearly passionate about the property.
The only downside for us was the waste disposal situation. We understand that Wilkes County charges $5 per bag, but in our opinion it would be easier to simply include that fee in the nightly rate instead of not offering disposal at all. Aside from that small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Blue Ridge Ranch to others looking for a unique camping experience.

An absolutely stunning site. The surrounding mountains provide a majestic backdrop. It’s a peaceful, serene, and extremely private spot.
The pavilion is a unique amenity that made our stay a bit more “luxurious” than anticipated. However, the private access to the river is a ridiculously amazing perk that elevates Peak A View to a level that is unmatched.
The proximity to neighboring towns and hiking trails offered a nice diversity of activities.
Steve and Penny’s communication was top notch throughout. They were very helpful in getting us set up but more importantly, they are friendly, kind, and sincere hosts. We appreciate their generosity in sharing this magical place.
We will undoubtedly be returning to Peak A View as it checks every box, and then some!

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Bear. Mike was incredibly helpful in planning our arrival and when we checked in at camp. He is so knowledgeable about the local area and great to chat with.
The campsite was just right for our Jeep/Teardrop. It was nice to have a nice open spot for long range views and stargazing at night.
Bathrooms clean, showers hot, water fresh, power working, laundry on site - in other words, everything here is exactly what we needed.
I would absolutely come back again and will recommend to others!

We had a great experience camping at Drifters Ridge. The campsite is peaceful, well-kept, and surrounded by beautiful scenery—perfect for relaxing and unplugging. The site is spacious, clean, and laid out nicely so you don’t feel crowded. It’s a quiet place at night, which made it easy to enjoy a campfire and get a good night’s rest. Keith and his wife were awesome hosts and made us feel right at home. The kids absolutely loved the tour of the farm and getting to pet the cows—it was a highlight of the trip. The location is convenient to nearby attractions while still feeling tucked away in nature. We’d definitely recommend Drifters Ridge to anyone looking for a laid-back, enjoyable camping experience and will be back again ourselves.

We love this place it is very peaceful, beautiful and quiet! A great family Atmosphere! If you love seeing the wildlife, you will love how the wild deer just walk around the campground!
