We really enjoyed camping along the river! The kids played in the river a lot and played frisbee in the big field next to the campsite. We walked over and said hello to the pony. Quite a peaceful setting. The on site porta john was convenient.

Great location for our small family and 5yo. Stayed 4 nights with ease. River is calm with a rustic but easy access point. Site is exceptionally clean and well set up. Area felt very safe. 10/10

We had an amazing weekend here! Camping by the river is truly unmatched. Perfect camp site with fire pit, picnic table, bistro lighting, and perfect spots for an Eno hammock set up. Steve was a very friendly and helpful host offering assistance whenever needed, along with provided fire wood. Would definitely revisit!

I had an amazing time at this Hipcamp. It is very relaxing watching the river flow by. The bistro lights are a great touch! It really makes it fun at night. The host was very friendly and I really appreciated that he took the time to deliver firewood and explain how the lights work.

Camping along the river made for very restful nights! With the provided firewood and fire pit, we were able to keep warm in the evenings with ease! The generator and string lights were a huge added plus! Steven was a very friendly and help host! We'll definitely be back!!

We had such a great time camping here! The location was beautiful, peaceful, and well-kept, but what really made our stay special was how kind and helpful Steve was. From the moment we arrived, he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable. His friendliness and hospitality made us feel truly welcome, and we can’t thank him enough for making our trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and friendly camping experience! Additionally, our dogs had a blast!

Secluded site next to a beautiful river! Host Steve was very welcoming and offered me a trash bag and firewood.

We tried out our new truck bed tent here and it was perfect. We liked the privacy and having the porta John on-site was a plus. Steve was nice enough to provide wood and went out of his way to grab ice too! He was easy to communicate with. Spot is easy to find and probably ~20 minutes from West Jefferson if you need to grab anything you forgot. Would camp here again for sure!

What a spectacular riverside campsite. Just one spot available means ultra privacy. Plastic chairs, picnic table, nice fire pit, clean porta potty and awesome lights made this an excellent experience. Easy river access for kayaking and playing too. Steve was very friendly but also stayed out of the way. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway or fun with the whole family, we will definitely be going back!

Not only was this site fantastic, the owner, Steve, was super nice. The site is right on the New River but is in a treed area so covered. Easy to get to, wonderful fire ring Steve built. Could not compliment this site more!

Great place to camp along the new river. The campsite is off a local road and along a private section of the new river. The site is comfortable with lots of trees for shade, a picnic table, fire pit with chairs, and a clean porta potty. Steve is a great host and came out to show us the ropes of the site on the first day. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful spot that's quiet and safe. Steve and his wife were super kind and accommodating. We had such a nice time. The storm took out the privacy fence, so it is a little less private at the moment, but it still feels very private. I would feel very comfortable as a woman solo camping here. The trees provide such a nice shade, it was never uncomfortable, even in high temps. Bring a sweatshirt and some long pants, even in the middle of summer, because it gets cool in the evening. The New River is always beautiful and we saw tons of cool animals. My dogs were super safe and happy. It was really such a nice experience. Bring floats or boats for the river.

Fantastic river setting for setting up a hammock and watching the water flow by. Flat site complete with picnic table, fire pit, fire wood, lights, and even a bathroom. Steve was great. Recommend highly.
