OUR MINI-CABINS ARE OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND FOR GLAMPING GETAWAYS! NEW BATHHOUSE OPENING NOVEMEMBER 2024 Howdy Partner! Dust off your boots and stay at Cowtown Cabins, the beach area's newest ranch experience, featuring a Wild West town in the making! The "Old West Bank" is a one-room mini-cabin that will take you back to the time of bank robberies and gold. However, this town bank comes with two twin-size beds in case you have an extra cowboy/ cowgirl with you, along with a smart TV, a mini fridge, a microwave, and heating/ air. This bank themed cabin is light and bright due to the beautiful stained glass, and transom windows that let in the perfect moonlight. Pitch your tent or park your RV on our historic 36-acre blueberry farm. Picnic tables, charcoal grills, and fire pits are located on lots. We are a newly renovated farm that has an almost 60-year history. Very close to Delaware and Ocean City Beaches! Our property is also monitored by security cameras. Once owned by Tom Ryan and part of the 100+ acres of Ryan's Berry Farm, Kingsley Orchards now owns the middle 36 acres and market building of the historic farm. Efforts paid off and the farm and market opened in June 2017 with a beautiful crop of blueberries and many multi-generational customers coming back with their children. The best outcome has been the opportunity to share growing food with children and helping them learn a love for outdoors and farming. Many of the customers remember their own grandparents bringing them to the farm! We had customers from age 1 to 89 picking blueberries We also offer a climate controlled venue for weddings, birthday parties, & any other events. Cypress Winds (302-362-1036)

HORSES WELCOME!  Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day.  There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay.  We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom.  It can easily sleep six people.  If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area.  The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in.  This is a sanctuary for our animals.  We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies).  By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals.  We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks.  There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores.  If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles.  We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up.  We believe this is Heaven on earth and would love to share it will you.  So please come, stay at our farm and relax.  We are here year round.

The best camping in Delaware Seashore State Park, DE guide

Overview

About

Spread across a long strip of bay and ocean shore, Delaware Seashore State Park is a popular spot to go crabbing, clamming, fishing, swimming, and camping. Its single campground has over 350 sites, spread across the north and south sections of the Indian River, connected by a bridge. Campground facilities include laundry rooms, showers, restrooms, and a camp store, plus a marina with a bait and tackle shop nearby. History buffs can learn about the U.S. Life-Saving Service, which laid the groundwork for the U.S. Coast Guard, by paying a visit to the Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum at the visitor's center.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. You can reserve a site at the Delaware Seashore up to one year in advance, either through the Delaware State Parks website or over the phone.
  2. A two-night stay is required on weekends (three nights on major public holidays).
  3. About two-thirds of the sites have full hookups and most accommodate RVs. Of the sites, 33 are tent-only.
  4. You are required to show up within 24 hours of your reservation start time. Late arrivals should contact the park to avoid automatic cancellation.
  5. If the camping areas at Delaware Seashore are full, there are a few private campgrounds in the general vicinity where you may have better luck.

When to go

Delaware Seashore State Park is a year-round destination, though the busiest time is—unsurprisingly—between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, when lifeguards are stationed.. Expect highs in the 80s from June through August, with temperatures in the 60s and 70s through September, and early fall is a great time to visit if you want to avoid crowds.

Know before you go

  • You can pick up basic supplies at the park's camp store, or head up to Rehoboth Beach, a 10-minute drive up the shore, to do a more thorough shop.
  • The park features two restaurants: the Big Chill Beach Club at the South Inlet Day Use Area and Hammerheads Dockside at the Indian River Marina.
  • Accessible features include 30 feet of Mobi-Mat to allow wheelchairs to access the beach safely, plus a special-access pier at the Indian inlet.
  • Permits are required for fishing, clamming, crabbing, and the use of vehicles on the dune.
