Emily’s land is exactly as described. Quiet, peaceful, really nice space for a relaxing and private camping experience. Ron is an amazing host! He had firewood ready, and offered other amenities you probably won’t find anywhere else. I definitely will be back.

It was a great stay.
Such an affordable yet considerate option. Host was very nice and even gave us a tour of the place. Had fire wood ready for us and a pre built fire ready to go.

Very humble and generous host. Even though it was a 12 mile drive to the beach, the site felt like you were there. The host has provided a toilet, shower, BBQ and ample seating to enjoy your stay. Would highly recommend this site. Do not get thrown off by the drive to it, located at the end of a street it really is a hidden gem. Many thanks and respect to the host.

Our family of 6 sooooo enjoyed staying here. What a beautiful & peaceful oasis that Ron provides!
What a great basecamp for all the surrounding activities. We chose to just chill at camp most of the time but appreciated the close proximity to restaurants, farm markets, and crabs.
Emily's Place is a little sandy oasis covered by a canopy of trees that provided great coverage and a breeze on a hot, sunny day. The owner takes great care of the camp and provides seating, tables, and even access to the RV for use of the bathroom, shower, and sink.
The site is a bit close to the owner's home than we are normally used to but the site was very private and amenities helped make our short stay very pleasant.
Would definitely stay here again for another short trip to the area.
The hubby and I had an amazing time at Emily's Place! Ron was very kind and helpful, and his dog enjoys assisting in showing the campers around. She is a great co-host. 🥰 We definitely plan to return for more tranquility in the future
Emily's Place was the perfect basecamp for some of my favorite outdoor adventures. Nestled beneath a canopy of mature trees, the campsite stayed cool and comfortable throughout the day. A gentle breeze flowed through the woods, creating the kind of peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to forget about schedules and simply enjoy being outdoors. What made the location especially appealing was its convenience. Within a short drive were several of my favorite crabbing spots, beautiful Delaware beaches, and state parks ideal for kayaking and biking. Whether I wanted to paddle a quiet waterway, explore miles of trails, or spend the day by the ocean, everything was close by. There were also plenty of great local restaurants within ten minutes whenever I felt like taking a break from camp cooking. One day, I made the 45-minute trip to Assateague Island to see the famous wild horses. Watching them roam freely along the shoreline was well worth the drive and added another memorable experience to the trip. Back at camp, Ron proved to be an exceptional host. He checked in to make sure I had everything I needed and was always available if questions came up. The generous supply of firewood was a welcome bonus, making it easy to cook outdoors and enjoy evenings around the fire. After long days spent on the beach and crabbing the clean facilities made it easy to relax and freshen up.
Emily's Place felt less like a campground and more like a home base for exploring all DE has to offer.

We loved this secluded beachy campsite only about 30 mins drive away from Rehoboth and Dewey beaches! Appreciated that Ron gave us access to the bathroom/shower in the RV. Would Iove to come back again!
Thanks Ron! Was a great and secluded spot with privacy from neighbors and im sure more so once the corn grows tall. Felt safe and secure with the thick wooded viney perimeter. Perfectly manicured sandy area with all you need for a few nights of outdoors like string lights, a fire pit, a grill, and seating. We brought too much of gear not realizing all that is provided. Great view of the stars on a clear night as well, wish I had a telescope with me. 30 mins from the beach and surf fishing. I wish I had caught some to throw on the provided park grill. Ron likes fresh fish so feel free to share if you get a good haul. Appreciate all the fire wood and use of the camper facilities. Hopefully we can stay again in the fall. 5 outta 5 will stay again. Everyone can ignore the bad reviews about the stuff in the front yard. A retired man has to have his hobbies fixing stuff up. The camping area is amazing and he rakes the sand like its a zen garden. Thanks again Ron for sharing your little oasis and im sure Emily is smiling down at what youve created in her name. Also his dog is super sweet.

This site was great! We had a rainy weekend but the tree cover was helpful and Ron supplied plenty of fire wood. Having access to the bathroom was very nice. Ron was responsive and super friendly, we hope to be back for sunny weather!

We had the most wonderful time! The site looks like a beach getaway! Having an indoor rest room was great and Ron was a wonderful host. He even had the fire going for us when we arrived! The location was great and we visited the beach, shopped, and truly enjoyed having a quiet place to return to. Thank you, Ron!
Ron was a super friendly and helpful host that went above and beyond while also respecting our privacy. The access to the RV was great for having a fridge, sink, and bathroom. It’s a genuine oasis and unique getaway!
We live loved camping at Emily’s Place. Ron, the host is very easygoing and kind. When our air mattress left us on the floor, he let us borrow his new mattress which basically saved our trip!
The site was very private and we felt very comfortable. Ron joined us for a camp dinner one night and we all had a great time.
We recommend this site to anyone who likes privacy and a beautiful site!

As others have mentioned, Ron was the prefect host. He is very friendly and we had great conversations with him. Ignore the one review where the person said it looked like a junkyard and left without even getting out of her car. While yes he has a lot of stuff in his front yard it has no impact on the beautiful campsite in the back. He enjoys tinkering and building campers so of course there is some construction stuff out front. That person truly missed out on an amazing camping experience. He created the perfect oasis in his backyard. Plenty of space for multiple tents and very private. I can tell he takes pride in the setup and has a lot of small little personal touches throughout the area. There is tons of firewood for the firepit along with an axe if needed and a grate to cook over the fire. There are solar powered lights throughout the campsite so you have some light once it gets dark. You have use of the bathroom and shower in his RV that is between the campsite and his house. It was about a 30 minute drive to Cape Henlopen and about 45 minutes to Indian River Inlet. We had a great time and would definitely camp here again.
Ron is an incredible host. Friendly as hell and super accommodating. For those wondering, Emily is the name of his late mother for whom he purchased the property. He’s got the friendliest pup named lil girl and the camping spot is a 20 out of 10. Ron put a lot of work into it and it really shows. My pals and I will be eager to return to this spot. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique camping ground near the beach with good vibes. Great fire pit, and all the car camping necessities you could need. Although we brought fire wood, Ron makes sure there’s more than enough available. Be sure to make friends with this A+ pal and you’ll have a blast. The rugged outdoor looks on the way in are far surpassed by the oasis behind the grounds. Can’t say enough good things. Thanks Ron!!
I loved tent camping at Emilys place. The camp area was beautiful and private. The owner,Ron is a great guy, very helpful and great to talk to. Its a beautiful and very handy setup. I love it there and definitely will be back soon. Its minutes from Lewes and Rehoboth and theres a few restaurants 10 minutes away. I highly recomend Emilys place !

This was one of my favorite hipcamps! While yes the site is close to the house, it still feels secluded with lots of tree cover. Be prepared for sand! There's a dog that runs around but she is very friendly and got along great with my dog. Bathroom is in a camper, and there's even a shower. This place is a gem for sure!
Although it was over 90 when I arrived, the shady site was cool and breezy. Very private. Air conditioned RV for bathroom and fridge and coffee maker. Ample space and seating. And Ron, the host could not have been nicer. I'd return anytime.

Great hidden spot that is close to fishing. Loved our stay at this hidden beach vibe oasis
Our trio had such a good time at Emily’s place. The site is as pictured / described and Ron is extremely friendly and helpful. The site is caddy-corner to their home, but very cozy and private with a privacy fence on one side and an open field on the other. The site is very well-appointed with lots of chairs, BBQ implements, fire circle, plenty of shady trees, and a variety of tables. The camper offered a sink, toilet, and shower, which basically made this glamping for us! Luxurious. While the site is close to many beach activities, we decided to hang out, enjoy the breeze and sun, and read / cook food / etc. The provided parking spot is located alongside Ron’s projects and yard (he restores campers, among other things), but absolutely none of this was in the way whatsoever and in fact we could not even see it once in the site. We would definitely come back to this campsite and think you too will enjoy Ron and Little Girl (the doggie).

We had a lovely time at Emily's place, though it was a little closer to the host's home than I generally prefer. Ron was a great host and we were very comfortable in the unique oasis he's created.
This campsite is truly in someone's junkyard backyard. A space has been cleared, which is what you can see in the listing pictures, but otherwise there are piles and piles of wood, furniture, camper vans, and just general stuff. We did not feel comfortable staying here and left before spending the night.
This place was great. The host is so nice and above and beyond accommodating and helpful. It's super close to any of the beach destinations you could want to visit. I will likely be coming back again for sure.
