The best dog-friendly camping in Delaware

·

Across Delaware you're likely to find both pet-friendly cities and pet-friendly campgrounds. All Delaware state parks are dog-friendly, but rules vary for beaches, where they're less likely to be allowed. Leashed dogs are welcome on the beaches at Delaware Seashore State Park, where you can go fishing, swimming, and take sandy walks with your pet, while Trap Pond State Park is a wetland forest excellent for boating, fishing, and pet-friendly camping. Check in to Killens Pond State Park outside Dover with your dog for outdoor activities with a backdrop of the 66-acre Killens Pond. Campers can also find wide open, dog-friendly campsites at private RV parks and Hipcamp properties outside cities like Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, oftentimes with flush toilets, picnic tables, full hookups, and access to watersports like paddle boating and kayaking.

50 acres with 30-acre private pond, 11 RV lots 7 of which are full time occupied by water ski club. Lake has good catch and release fishing, swimming, and paddle sports. Sites have water and 30amp electric hookups. Sites are all east facing with beautiful morning sunrise and afternoon shade. Close to hiking and biking trails and 45 minutes to Delaware and Maryland beaches. Lots of wildlife on property including bald eagles, fish hawks, blue heron, otter, and many land animals with almost daily deer sightings. Close to Nanticoke River and Phillips Landing boat ramp. Area hosts several fall festivals, 5-K events, mini and full triathlons, several historic areas of interest including very first Mason-Dixon marker and Harriett Tubman underground railroad tour.

A short drive to the Atlantic beaches of DE and MD. Ocean City, MD for all the Board Walk has to offer to the Outlet Malls in Rehoboth to the quieter old world like Milton DE. Converted horse paddock offers a raised stone parking area. 50 amp hook-up {mandatory as we like our quiet:-) } Please call ahead for approach directions as the driveway is tight off the narrow street. I have moved our 24' trailer in and out with a bit of work. Pull in and blind side to the elevated gravel pad
