Take your UTV/ATV to town or for a day ride upriver directly from the campsite as the camp is situated on the OHV trail that extends from town (2 miles from the campsite) to the White River National Forest (more than 40 miles up the river). The Ute Lodge was homesteaded in the 1930’s by Joe Fox who after leaving the military came west to settle in the White River valley.
Joe was known for his friendliness, hospitality and wild stories.
Today you might find much of the same. From Joe’s day to today it is a place where families come together to get away.
The Ute Lodge is now owned by Karl and Mona Maser who celebrated 20 years of ownership summer of 2019!
All summer our cabins are filled with guests from all over the US as well as international travelers. One of our favorite things about the summer is our weekly potlucks where we all share an outdoor meal. All of our visitors have a standing invitation to join us around the community campfire at night.

River Camp RV Park is located directly on a beautiful bend of the famed White River near the base of the iconic Flat Tops Wilderness near Meeker, Colorado. The park is nestled in a scenic valley, surrounded by beautiful ranches and mountains. The 13 acre property is well laid out and provides spacious sites that afford great privacy and quiet. Mature trees on the property offer great shade and the grounds are covered with a beautiful lawn. The RV park is well maintained and always clean. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Turkeys and deer wander through the park and the bird watching is stellar.
Keep your speed at 10 mph upon entry and 5.5 mph once you enter the RV sites. We MUST keep our wildlife and guests safe! The Speed Limit begins at the Park entry gate and all through the park.
River Camp RV Park offers 20 well-situated RV sites, each with a level gravel pad. Each site has full hook ups, including water (with great water pressure), sewer, and 30 and 50 amp outlets. Most sites will accommodate a 38' RV and Class A, B, and C Motorhomes. A majority of the sites will also accommodate a 44' RV.
In addition to the RV Sites with full hook-ups, we also offer dry camping and can accommodate large groups. We can provide water for our campers that are in the dry camp areas and we have a dump station area for you before you leave. Water is also provided for those that are in their tents or small camper trailers. Please note: we do not have a bathhouse.
Porta-potties are near the dry camp area marked 20A-20E.
Each site, including dry camp, has a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available for purchase. WiFi is also provided. Please keep in mind we are in a rural location and can NOT promise perfection when it comes to the WiFi.
There is NO public boat launch for the river. Guests do have access to the river for leisure fishing with fly's and lures only.
ATV's and Side-by-Sides; we do not have a trail from the park, however, we do have trailers for rent and we will guide you to get you to the trails with the available trailers. Please see our "Things to Do" page for more information.

Private simple site in a field around the orchards. You will not have other rvs stacked on top of you. Homes surround the field right off the street. Enclosed field with a RV hook up for water and electric. Located in the center of palisade orchards. Easy access to the Mt. Garfield trail and 1.2 miles from the town of palisade where we have local farmers markets, restaurants and much more! Just a basic place for a RV or overlander. Hose water and 30 amp hook up. That’s it! Tent camping is doable depending on the season. We have an enclosed fire pit that we allow during certain times of the season upon request. If we feel the surrounding area is too dry or high risk for fire/ fire bans we do not allow camp fires. Please request prior to showing up or you may find out there’s a fire ban for the area. The gate entrance to the field is roughly 15ft wide. It is located off a two way street.
We’re happy to accommodate respectful guests and easygoing travelers who just need a safe, pleasant spot to stay.

Outskirts Palisade is located to the south of Palisade on the edge of the Orchard Mesa. We are located right behind Talbott Farms Tasting Room and have loved getting to know them as neighbors so far. Our property features a gentle drainage, rising mesa features, lava rock outcrops and stunning views of Mt. Garfield, the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, and the Palisade vineyards and orchards. Wait till you see a sunset from up here.
As we said, we have some exciting long-term plans for our property to become a key part of the Palisade community. The Ute Lodge was homesteaded in the 1930’s by Joe Fox who after leaving the military came west to settle in the White River valley.
Joe was known for his friendliness, hospitality and wild stories.
Today you might find much of the same. From Joe’s day to today it is a place where families come together to get away.
The Ute Lodge is now owned by Karl and Mona Maser who celebrated 20 years of ownership summer of 2019!
All summer our cabins are filled with guests from all over the US as well as international travelers. One of our favorite things about the summer is our weekly potlucks where we all share an outdoor meal. All of our visitors have a standing invitation to join us around the community campfire at night.
From our beautiful private lake (where you can paddle-board, kayak and fish), to immediate access to the Papoose and Crooks Park Trails on National Forest land, as well as the vast variety of wildlife that roams around, you can find what you need here to unplug and get away from it all.

River Camp RV Park is located directly on a beautiful bend of the famed White River near the base of the iconic Flat Tops Wilderness near Meeker, Colorado. The park is nestled in a scenic valley, surrounded by beautiful ranches and mountains. The 13 acre property is well laid out and provides spacious sites that afford great privacy and quiet. Mature trees on the property offer great shade and the grounds are covered with a beautiful lawn. The RV park is well maintained and always clean. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Turkeys and deer wander through the park and the bird watching is stellar.
Keep your speed at 10 mph upon entry and 5.5 mph once you enter the RV sites. We MUST keep our wildlife and guests safe! The Speed Limit begins at the Park entry gate and all through the park.
River Camp RV Park offers 20 well-situated RV sites, each with a level gravel pad. Each site has full hook ups, including water (with great water pressure), sewer, and 30 and 50 amp outlets. Most sites will accommodate a 38' RV and Class A, B, and C Motorhomes. A majority of the sites will also accommodate a 44' RV.
In addition to the RV Sites with full hook-ups, we also offer dry camping and can accommodate large groups. We can provide water for our campers that are in the dry camp areas and we have a dump station area for you before you leave. Water is also provided for those that are in their tents or small camper trailers. Please note: we do not have a bathhouse.
Porta-potties are near the dry camp area marked 20A-20E.
Each site, including dry camp, has a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available for purchase. WiFi is also provided. Please keep in mind we are in a rural location and can NOT promise perfection when it comes to the WiFi.
There is NO public boat launch for the river. Guests do have access to the river for leisure fishing with fly's and lures only.
ATV's and Side-by-Sides; we do not have a trail from the park, however, we do have trailers for rent and we will guide you to get you to the trails with the available trailers. Please see our "Things to Do" page for more information.

Private simple site in a field around the orchards. You will not have other rvs stacked on top of you. Homes surround the field right off the street. Enclosed field with a RV hook up for water and electric. Located in the center of palisade orchards. Easy access to the Mt. Garfield trail and 1.2 miles from the town of palisade where we have local farmers markets, restaurants and much more! Just a basic place for a RV or overlander. Hose water and 30 amp hook up. That’s it! Tent camping is doable depending on the season. We have an enclosed fire pit that we allow during certain times of the season upon request. If we feel the surrounding area is too dry or high risk for fire/ fire bans we do not allow camp fires. Please request prior to showing up or you may find out there’s a fire ban for the area. The gate entrance to the field is roughly 15ft wide. It is located off a two way street.
We’re happy to accommodate respectful guests and easygoing travelers who just need a safe, pleasant spot to stay.

Outskirts Palisade is located to the south of Palisade on the edge of the Orchard Mesa. We are located right behind Talbott Farms Tasting Room and have loved getting to know them as neighbors so far. Our property features a gentle drainage, rising mesa features, lava rock outcrops and stunning views of Mt. Garfield, the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, and the Palisade vineyards and orchards. Wait till you see a sunset from up here.
As we said, we have some exciting long-term plans for our property to become a key part of the Palisade community. Because of that, we ask that you respect our neighbors and the surrounding area when it comes to things like: trash, noise, fires, alcohol consumption, and general P's & Q's. Nice spot! There were some floodlights across the street shining at us, so something to be aware od if you dont have curtains or a dark tent. Flat and easy to find. No bathrooms. One mile walk to an amazingggg winery and absolutely lovely views! Relatively quiet road nearby. We heard so many meadowlarks in the field around us as the sun set!

Palisade is such a gem in Colorado. This Hipcamp is well located, easy to find, offers electricity, and a level parking spot in a safe area. The views property are also gorgeous! I was lucky enough to spend a night when the farms trees were just starting to show spring buds. I also enjoyed a lovely wine tasting and charcuterie board just a mile down the street at Talon. I would highly recommend the site and personally can’t wait to stay there again! The host, Dirk was extremely communicative and quick to respond! All in all, a five star stay.

If you are looking for something very remote with full hook ups this is a great place to stay. This is a farm on private property. We were left alone the 3 nights we stayed. If you have scrapes left from a meal, you can feed them to the pigs. We would come back.
