Camp right next to the river and feel the peace of the water flowing and the bright stars in the sky. We are located 7 miles from Estes Park and a short 15 minute drive to the east entrances of Rocky Mountain National Park. Crosier Mountain trailhead is right across the street from our land. Walk down and grab the best cinnamon rolls at the Glen Haven General Store. RVs, campers, byo portable toilets only. We do not have toilet services at this site.

This land has been my family's ranch since the early 70's. We love it here and are happy to share it with campers that wish to enjoy the valley and respect the land. More about this campsite: The site is in a small ranch pasture along the Bear River near willow, birch, and large cottonwood trees. From the campsite there are views of the Flat Top mountains and ancient volcanic necks. Very quiet except for ranch activity and the friendly livestock guardian dogs (who will visit, and they bark to protect the sheep and goats at night) - it's a working ranch and you may have to contend with talkative sheep or dodge the occasional cow pie!

Property is 40 acres and has multiple spots to camp on. There is a significant amount of creek frontage and also a scenic overlook at the top of the mountain. The property is in the middle of a valley and is very quiet and no lights, so it's a great area to relax and see the stars and hang out with the family. The road to the property is 44H and is county maintained road with wide clearance so a regular car or RV can make it just fine and there's a large area for parking at the base. To get to the top of the mountain I would recommend 4x4 as it's a steep road, or you can walk up. Because it was dry this year I would not recommend a fire unless it's contained in the fire pit and is small.

Great night camping here, we got a reservation here last minute and we were super lucky to get a quick response. The site was right on the creek and it was so nice to let our dog play in it and fish. Lots of places to go shopping and eat at nearby. Nice and quiet area if you are looking for a secluded spot.

Exceptionally well maintained camping resort. We had a back-in RV site with full hookups. I met many people who are part owners of the pre-manufactured homes. The hosts and house owners make the resort feel like a welcoming neighborhood. My kids enjoyed all the activities. This is a great place for young kids to practice bicycle riding while camping. I look forward to returning.

The host was very friendly and accommodating! The bathroom are extremely clean and they even had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers which is above approach! Additionally, you are at the top of a mountain and have incredible views at this campground. I would definitely recommend this campground!

Wow! Sun Outdoor’s has it all! Excellent, level sites, full hook-ups, showers, exercise room, Community room with an arcade, bowling and activities every day. It was too cold during our stay for the pool to be open, however, the hot tubs were working! There is a sweet little outdoor bar by the pool and putting green. This place has two dog parks and two lakes (one for fishing). Don’t have a camper? No problem. There are great campers to rent onsite or you can rent a tiny house for your stay. This quickly became my favorite place!

I loved camping on this site with some friends! We had 10 total people and it was the perfect size for our group. Easy to find and only 15 minutes from Lake Estes. The picnic table, trash receptacle, and port a potty made our load light for our one night of camping. Heidi was responsive and detailed, and has a great spot with the river. As far as noise, we only heard a few cars pass by when in our tents that weren’t a real bother, but the sound of the water was peaceful to fall asleep to. Listen to the cinnamon bun advice! We wanted more than 6 buns so we had to order the day before (definitely do!). We enjoyed being right by town to walk to grab any last minute needs. Next time I would love to dine at the bed & breakfast in town for dinner. Overall, Heidi was a superhost for us!

Weekend Trip to RV site near Estes Park

Great clean site right by the river. Do note, though, that it is only about 45 feet off of the main road, but it is still private due to foliage and descent.
