We have an acre of land with an orchard, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, tons of flowers and peace and quiet except for some traffic on Veazie Cumberland Rd. There is a tree farm across the street from the campsite and a blueberry farm across Veazie. Picking time for blueberries is end of July into August. Deep lake is four miles from our house as well as Kanaskit State Park with a river. Mt Rainier is about 45 minutes away. Mt Peak, 1000 ft hike, is 4 miles toward Enumclaw from us.

This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities.
We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors.
You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

We have noticed an influx of owners that do not let us know and show up with dogs as we need to go over additional information. There is no additional fee but since we have livestock roaming freely around the property, to ensure their safety, long leads are highly encouraged especially if dogs do not have exceptional training and recall. -There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 Frenchies also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them!
-There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on.
-You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast.
-Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending from Enumclaw to Puyallup.
-Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. We have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a large milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed.

The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse.
The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night.

A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget.
The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue.
The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants.
If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year.

Genuinely blown away by our stay at the Potting Shed. If you are coming through Snohomish you must stay here. It is a beautifully maintained space with lovely trails, stunning landscaping and the warmest of hosts. We came for a wedding and booked as a last resort because hotels in town were insane. We are so grateful we did. We are already planning another weekend to come up so we can truly relax and enjoy our time at the potting shed. A must book.

3 nights at Simple Roots Ranch
We LOVED our time at Sharon and Dave’s amazing spot. Everything is exactly as described, appointed so thoughtfully and carefully. The property is a delight and is cared for with so much skill and intention. It was such a gift to be able to relax and spend time in such a serene haven. Cannot recommend them enough and hope we are able to make another little trip out sometime.

With pets
We absolutely loved staying in the yurt it was very spacious with plenty of extra moving around space. The host left us lots of candles and other essentials to use during our stay. The outside firepit, bbq and hammock is a great addition. Although the mosquitoes where out with a vengence we managed with the spray and tiki torches our host also provided. (Understandably so since we had a nice good rain a day before our trip)

Weekend Trip to The Bunky in The Barn
Really great and fun experience. Alison was super friendly and even gave us some delicious homemade cake! The sauna and outdoor shower were very fun and easy to use. The fire pit was wonderful. The horses, miniature donkey’s, and birds nesting nearby were all very cool to see, hear, and be around.
Would definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm
Jenel & Kohay's tiny home is an absolute gem. The place is private and has a variety of amenities for a very comfortable stay, including a kitchenette. It was lovely to wake up amongst the different farm animals and wildlife. Jenel and Kohay are so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel like we stayed with them not at their property, but at their home. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We cant wait to return for round two. I can't recommend their place enough. Thanks again for everything!

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch
Sharon and Dave’s potting shed was a fantastic summer weekend getaway! The shed and surrounding gardens were so gorgeous and easy to relax at. They were so hospitable and we truly enjoyed spending time with their dogs and relaxing in the hammock. We brought all of our camping gear but their set up is so good, we didn’t need to use much of our stuff. Such a unique and memorable visit and we’d absolutely stay again!

Jenel and Khohay were such great hosts! They had really good recommendations, were so accommodating and helpful and we had such fun interactions with them.
The cabin itself is quite cozy and really well put together. The farm vibe was serene and calming - all in all a perfect weekend getaway. Can’t wait to be back :)

Weekend Trip to Cedar River Retreat
Second time visiting. We love this little slice of paradise. Dog gets to be off leash, trail and river nearby. Bummed the cedar river trail was washed out further down as we tried to walk to lake wilderness for the firework show. The price makes this place affordable and has everything you could need for a few nights out in nature

1 night at Pipe Lake Cabin
Cute place, but too close to the other house and dock to be a favorite place for us. We kept our dog on leash since the house on the same property also had a dog visiting. Great for a little family or if your priority is lake time. They have kayaks to rent but I didn't see life vests. If you use the heater fire place use the extension cord from the bed drawer otherwise it will keep tripping the breaker. Very responsive host, nice little dock and cute walkway down. We brought blankets because the cost to add them seemed too high considering the cost of the rental, but when we arrived there were blankets and pillows. Would have been nice to know as our car is small😂. I'd suggest bringing a camp shower if you plan to swim. We were grateful to get out for a night.

My two daughters and I had a wonderful week at the cabin. It was very accessible. I am notoriously under prepared for trips but my husband packed us so we had everything.
This cabin was perfect for me because it had everything I would have forgotten otherwise! Smores, bedding, silverware, cups, tp, beer. We did not go without!
The host went above and beyond while respecting our privacy. My children like to act like witches around a fire.
She even allowed us to shorten our stay (summer camp was only 4 days, not 5). Which ended up disappointing my eldest daughter! We would've stayed another night if needed. No problem.
We had plenty of room and heat. The outside fire was stubborn but, again, the host had us covered with all supplies we needed.
It was one of the best cabins I've ever stayed in. Bravo! Thank you. We would come back in a second.

Staying at The Bunky at Lawnacres farm is a real treat. It’s a working farm with three beautiful horses and two donkeys which you can go visit or steer clear of at will. You are welcome to explore nearly 20 acres of meadow and field and clusters of trees. It’s quiet and peaceful. Be sure to try the Maltby Cafe for breakfast or lunch and the Pizza and Pasta (the name undersells it) restaurant next door for lunch or dinner. We have already been back since our first visit.

Welcoming host, provided all we needed for the night, wood for stove campfire, thick comforter, separate towels for showering and sauna, equipment to make coffee and bedroom slippers too. Had 3 horses and two donkeys and lots of swallows.

Weekend Trip to Cedar River Retreat
The little cabin was peaceful and well thought out! I loved the little touches of whimsy throughout the property and having the trail so close by was convenient. I slept really well and it was nice to have more comforts than tent camping. Plus waking up to the symphony of birds was incredible! My pups also loved their stay. I’ll definitely be returning!

I stayed in the Huckleberry and it was extremely well kept, Paula was a great host who was super responsive and everything was provided at the site. There were 3 different sites on the property but the dense vegetation and well planned trails makes it feel like you are isolated. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Virginia is the best host. What a cute and hidden hideaway. The yurt was massive and the Forest gave us so much to explore. Reception is spotty so plan on disconnecting and enjoying nature. My son and I had great quality time.
