Rosewood Farm and Agripark is my home. I honestly had about the most amazing childhood one could have on this very land! We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark! For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Weekend Trip to Kings Mountain RV Resort

For a last minute decision, this campsite went well beyond my wildest expectations. We got in really late and Jeanette was a huge help getting us settled. We decided to extend our stay the next day and she was very accommodating. The campground is nice and quiet with a really nice bathhouse. The rain is keeping us from doing as much as we wanted, but there’s a lovely pool and they have plenty of activities planned for those looking for a welcoming site that feels like home. We will plan on coming back in the future!

This was an awesome site! Alex’s land is really nice. The pond was beautiful and made for an amazing serenade of frogs, birds, and toads - especially at night. The sites themselves have great spots to set up a large 6-man tent. The boat was fun to try out and there were some spots for fishing along the side of the pond as well. We liked the short hike around the pond and the road into the site was not too bad to access either. Alex is really great at communicating any questions and concerns and even messaged us letting us know it had rained up there and to be careful on the dirt road that morning before we checked in. Beautiful land and was exactly what we were hoping for.

Weekend Trip to Private Oasis In The Forest

Primitive, rustic, and secluded, but still close to a small nearby town. There are three campsites on the property, so if others are there, you’ll be fairly close to them. Luckily, no one else was there this weekend, so we had the whole place to ourselves. The property has a more natural, lightly maintained feel, so don’t expect a lot of modern upkeep—the rowboat has a hole and isn’t usable. The outdoor toilet is very exposed to the elements and could use some attention (the tank was full), but it worked fine for us. There’s plenty of firewood, and the fire pits are nice, with attached grates for cooking. There’s also a small trail around the pond that was fun to explore.

This was the perfect campsite. All of the reviews and pictures were exactly what we experienced. It felt incredibly private, the only other campsite was far away but nobody had rented it the night we went camping. The outhouse was nice, my kids and dog loved little creek nearby, and the firewood that was provided was an awesome touch. There was so much space to spread out and hearing the owls at night was a very cool experience. We will definitely be back again!

Weekend Trip to Lucky Farms Under the Stars

It’s a sweet spot. It would be great for a rustic wedding! I was there just for a night as I had a pet CPR/first aid class in Charrlotte the next day. The paths were well lit it was nice to walk in nature a bit to wind down after 42 days of straight work. I did check out the campsites the following morning. They are super nice in wooded areas, with clean potties close if you’re not a pee in the woods kinda gal. I’ll be back!

Had a great experience with my family this past weekend. For some of the it was their first experience camping and the spot was great for that. The creek was fun enough for the kids and adults to walk through and explore. The host was incredibly helpful and had firewood ready available to purchase, it was some really good sized firewood. which made settling in so much easier.

Very quiet and relaxing location. Set back about 150’ from the lake and on an extremely quiet road. This was a very relaxing weekend. Ann was super nice and brought us a dozen of her delicious eggs from her chickens. We really enjoyed kayaking on the lake and star gazing!
