Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude.
The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect.
A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them.
The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy.
Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland.
The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin.
The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware.
Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful.
No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there.
Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes.
We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles
When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.
New this year Bliss Camp is adding a 12' x 14' Glamping Tent Cabin.
Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!
Dark Skies:
If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details.
The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting!
Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings.

Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the wide open meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got Boulder's best eggs (help yourself up at the coop), a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, small sink, gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon that’s cleaned weekly.
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter).
Well behaved dogs under voice control are welcome off-leash. If you find your dog to be problematic, please keep them on-leash. We have a sweet, old dog who is always off-leash. The chickens free range during the day, so please mind your dog. There is a 3-figure dead or injured chicken fee.

We own almost an acre of land next to the North Fork of the Big Thompson River in Glen Haven, CO (one of the cutest small towns ever!). Camp right next to the river and feel the peace of the water flowing and the bright stars in the sky. We are located 7 miles from Estes Park and a short 15 minute drive to the east entrances of Rocky Mountain National Park. Crosier Mountain trailhead is right across the street from our land. Walk down and grab the best cinnamon rolls at the Glen Haven General Store. RVs, campers, byo portable toilets only. We do not have toilet services at this site.

See pictures for where to enter property off of Indiana. A little homestead in the middle of Arvada, Colorado. 3 acres with Nigerian Pygmy Goats, 2 Highland Steers, a coup with 10 chickens. We have a fire pit, 120v electrical hookup. Great view of the mountains to the west. Great place to stop if you are on your way up or down from the mountains. One hour from skiing, 20 min from downtown Denver.

Our camping sites are located in a quite area near a water storage 1 acre pond. Great for an evening stroll or sit back and enjoy the sounds and sights of Colorado birds and wildlife.
Please note 2026: due to the drought there is no water in the pond and no open fires allowed.

We had a good stay at Grayson & Tina's spot to test out our rig with hook-ups at altitude and to access the Front Range high country hiking with more ease. As advertised, this spot is in a mountain residential neighborhood. While there are neighbors, it was blissfully quiet and relaxing all the same. The accurate description of and route findings to the property, as well as internet communication details for communication with the hosts! = I'll recommend to others, no problem.

Great spot, just as advertised. I preferred the parking lot behind the maintenance building. It was a bit less flat but the building helped to block the noise of the highway. Great bathroom and shower facility, safe, mega convenient if you’re traveling on I-70. Will definitely stay again.

There is a babbling creek on one side of the lot with a nice sound. The other side is a road. The lot is dirt with rocks and weeds. It is flat. No trees. I really had no idea where it was and asked the host about that and if the ground was dry enough for a small motorhome. No response to those questions. She said it has no address and it is across from the post office. I goggled the post office address and got there.

Heidi has a great site! It's easy to access with a travel trailer, and the ground is pretty level. We really enjoyed walking to the general store for cinnamon rolls and having the whole site to ourselves with our dog. The creek was nice, and I caught multiple trout in late September.

Really enjoyed Sun Outdoors. Location is great for those visiting RMNP, Grand Lake, or just want a mountain get away. Sites are good sized with tons of amenities. My kids loved to bowling and arcade at the restaurant.
I do wish the sites had some trees to offer shade or privacy.
The campground was kept extremely clean during our stay. Overall we were very happy and look forward to future visits!

This was a great spot for those wanting to get out of town and have that feeling of wooded seclusion. Was great distance to Boulder, RMNP, Georgetown. Driveway for sure got tight at parts so it does help to have experience towing but that just adds to the fun! Would absolutely stay again

This sweet private camping spot on a river was just what we needed as we want close access to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It is in the sweet and quaint community of Glen Haven. The road through town is close but there is not much traffic and if you face your camp toward the river all you hear is the delightful sound of the water.

Beautiful campground with trails going in several directions. Didn't need to drive.
This was the ultimate spot to be near RMNP! Literally 20 minutes away. Campsite was by a creek and was nice white noise while falling asleep. Good amenities and easy access. The only negative was being right by a busy road but being summer it's understandable

Arapaho Bay Campground
Such a beautiful and fun place to camp!
We reserved the bay campsite for a stop over in a longer road trip. I wish we had longer to stay and explore! The property is beautiful and sites are well-maintained as well as the bathhouse. Brenda was nice enough to offer to meet us at the gate, as we thought we’d be arriving after dark. We’d love to come back for a longer stay!

St. Louis Creek Campground
Great experience. Deb was wonderful. My daughter fed the alpacas and goats. Colorado trail within walking distance. Dirt road was pretty bumpy with a big trailer. Took some time to get down there but certainly achievable.

Unfortunately this campground is closed still in 2023 due to the devastation from the Troublesome fire. Check with the USFS before you plan to use this campground.

We are thinking of camping here in one of the non-reservable sites this weekend. Does this campground usually fill up quickly? and....How far do you have to drive on a gravel road to get up here? We are in a small car.

We loved camping here at Mt. Evans! There was a friendly ranger nearby that came and chatted with us frequently. Restrooms were close-by, everyone was friendly and we felt super safe! The main lodge has AMAZING food and fun goodies to take back as souvenirs. Will stay again!

My favorite time to go up here is in the fall! Incredible colors when the aspens are changing even if you just go for a drive! The sawtooth traverse is also a great way to bag two of Colorado's 14ers in one day!

Love, love, love this area any season! The campground had been closed due to bad weather but was briefly reopened for us brave few still seeking refuge amidst the beauty of a a National Forest. I come here a lot, and each time I find something new to inspire me. Usually just stay in the free areas, but this once stayed in the campground which would have been lovely had it been more in-season.

The best time to go is mid-summer when all the wild flowers are still in bloom. There are still a few snow fields in the area which helps keep you cool.

This campground was great mostly because of its location. I love the little town Idaho Springs about 20 minutes away (if you go there, get Beau Jo's pizza--it will change your life). The drive up to the campground was gorgeous (Guanella Pass). We stayed there early July and were freezing still, so dress warm! The bathrooms there are more like porter potties, so I recommend just going behind a tree to avoid the stench! Would love to stay here again during my trips to the colorful Colorado!
